Chapter 705 - 704. Into the Darkness.

Doctor Fate's hunch was right.

Just as his words faded, sleek and highly advanced warships suddenly rose from the surrounding waters. The Amazon Queen recognized them at a glance—they belonged to Atlantis.

Leading them, wielding a trident in her hand, was none other than the former Atlantean queen herself. After the death of the Ocean Lord at the hands of Steppenwolf, she had been forced once again to assume command of Atlantis.

In Flashpoint Universe-1, due to Flash's mistake during a temporal jump, Arthur Curry (Aquaman) had never been born. The throne of Atlantis had instead been passed to the Queen's other son. But with the Ocean Lord's death, there were no longer any legitimate heirs—forcing her to return to the throne once more.

"Your Majesty."

Doctor Fate quickly blinked into position before the Atlantean Queen and bowed slightly in greeting.

She was no stranger to the Justice Society. Ever since Steppenwolf's invasion, both Atlantis and Themyscira had gradually begun opening up to the rest of human civilization.

"Fate, leave this beast to us," the Atlantean Queen said seriously, watching as King Ghidorah was dragged beneath the waves by the Kraken. "You all go and support the others."

Doctor Fate didn't argue. But he also knew full well—even if they went to support the other heroes, defeating these monsters would not be quick or easy.

"This can't go on. We need to figure out their weaknesses."

"These creatures aren't from our universe," the Queen responded. "We're not going to beat them easily. Focus on restraining them—for now we just need to stop the destruction. If Darkseid uses this chaos to launch another invasion, we'll be in real trouble."

Suddenly, a young voice crackled through Doctor Fate's earpiece: (Hello? Can you hear me?)

"Loud and clear, Tim. What's going on?"

(Just checking in. I just split up with Dcotor Mid-Nite—he and Wildcat are tending to Flash. Nightwing and Red Hood are tracking the unknown speedster. More importantly, I think I've figured out how to deal with these monsters.)

Tim's words came fast and urgent—he clearly understood just how critical the situation had become.

"Speak." Doctor Fate responded quickly, urging Tim to continue.

(I've seen the Godzilla films. These monsters have always acted as Earth's guardians. They're like the white blood cells of the planet, preserving natural balance. Now that they're here and sensing the overwhelming presence of superpowered beings, they're reacting on instinct—fighting to restore equilibrium.)

"So what do we do?" Hawkman demanded impatiently.

(According to the source material, these monsters aren't a team. In fact, some of them are sworn enemies—they attack on sight.)

Tim's voice grew more animated.

(So if we can lure them into the same place, we won't have to do anything. They'll fight each other!)

Doctor Fate nodded firmly, then opened a channel across the Justice Society comms.

"Did everyone hear that? Black Adam, Shazam, Hourman, Supergirl—now you know the plan."

"Understood!"

In Central City, Shazam had just lured Kong out of the urban area when he heard the message and responded instantly.

Hourman acted just as fast. He pulled up a tactical projection on the main screen, red dots marking the positions of each monster and each hero.

"I've mapped the most efficient routes. Follow these paths and you'll avoid major population centers. Just keep the beasts moving toward the central rendezvous point."

"I won't need it."

Black Adam's cold, composed voice echoed through the comms.

In the heart of Star City, Black Adam had already crushed MUTO's six limbs. With strength rivaling a Kryptonian, he made short work of the insectoid monster. MUTO's spindly legs were brittle—easy to snap.

Lifting one of those severed legs like a spear, Black Adam impaled the creature in a single brutal motion.

Standing atop the dying monster as thick yellow-green fluid oozed into the street, he wrinkled his nose in disgust and pressed his earpiece.

"One down. Supergirl—need assistance?"

Gotham Harbor.

Supergirl's punch forced Godzilla back two steps—but she was immediately whipped through the air by a massive tail strike, nearly hurled out of the stratosphere.

Struggling to regain control, Kara barely had time to catch her breath before a blast of atomic breath came screaming toward her.

She didn't hesitate.

Her eyes glowed a deep crimson—and then, in a flash, heat vision clashed head-on with the atomic beam in a cataclysmic burst of energy.

The shockwave was immense. Even Doctor Fate, a thousand miles away, felt it. He turned toward Gotham, a dark shadow crossing his face beneath the golden helmet.

"Black Adam, get to Supergirl. Godzilla is not just another monster."

Just as the heroes were overwhelmed by the sudden appearance of monstrous kaiju…

Outside Philadelphia, two men dressed in white combat suits had surrounded a man in a red suit—one in front, one behind.

"You… who are you people!?"

The man in red, his face twisted with tension, glared at the older of the two. There weren't many in the world who could match his speed—yet these two had managed to cut him off, proving they were anything but ordinary.

"Flash…"

Just as his expression darkened, a light chuckle rang out.

"No—or should I call you… Johnny Quick."

Hearing that voice, Johnny Quick whipped around—and saw a man walking toward him at a leisurely pace, wearing a mocking smile.

"Who are you?" Johnny snapped, his voice ice-cold.

"You can call me Alex."

The man calling himself Alex narrowed his eyes, flashing a fox-like grin.

"To think you escaped from that world and made it here… I really should applaud your skill."

"You—!"

Johnny's eyes widened in terror. Fear began to creep across his face.

"Y-You're working with that thing, aren't you!?"

"What? No," Alex said, shaking his head slightly. "I don't work with anyone. I'm just… curious. How exactly did you manage to cross from the Antimatter Universe into this one?"

As he spoke, Alex casually looked Johnny up and down, then nodded thoughtfully.

"Speed Force, huh… What a fascinating power. It not only lets you move through timelines and cracks in the multiverse, but even connect the matter and antimatter realms. A full-blown interdimensional tunnel... remarkable."

Johnny felt his heart sinking into the abyss. He'd thought he'd escaped his doomed world, thought he might finally survive—only to realize he'd stumbled out of the frying pan and into the fire.

The two men in white already radiated an oppressive presence—Johnny could feel power from them on par with Ultraman.

But this man—Alex—was worse. Mysterious. Unfathomable.

He clenched his fists and snarled coldly.

"Do you even know who I am? Back off now, before I lose patience. I don't have time for your games."

"Oh, I know exactly who you are. I see everything. I know everything."

Alex stared into Johnny's eyes, his tone eerie and calm.

"You're a member of the Crime Syndicate from the Antimatter Universe. A dark counterpart to Barry Allen. The evil Flash. The final survivor of your obliterated universe. The only being who escaped that entity's annihilation."

Johnny Quick froze, cold sweat soaking through his back. Arrogant as he was, he wasn't stupid. This man had just detailed his entire origin effortlessly. That meant only one thing—

They were there when his universe was destroyed.

Run.

He had to run. Now.

He had thought this world would be a relatively safe haven—but Johnny Quick never imagined that even more terrifying beings were lying in wait here.

The moment that realization struck, Johnny had no more intention of staying. He triggered the Speed Force, and in the blink of an eye, vanished from the spot.

But the two men in white had been prepared. At the instant Johnny moved, one of them launched forward, his fist swinging with devastating precision.

Johnny had never felt death so close. Twisting his body with impossible reflexes, he narrowly dodged what would've been a lethal blow—barely scraping by it.

But his dodge sent him crashing straight into the second man—the older of the two.

Before Johnny could react, the older man reached out with both hands and clamped them around his skull.

Feeling the crushing pressure against his temples, Johnny thrashed in panic. He clenched his fists and unleashed a barrage of punches, empowered by the Speed Force.

In that single second, he threw over ten thousand blows. To a normal eye, it was as if Johnny had sprouted dozens of arms, striking like a whirlwind.

The white uniform tore apart—but it revealed an iron-hard torso beneath. Johnny's punches couldn't even make a dent.

Worse—the recoil snapped his own wrists.

The mustached man just smirked coldly… and his grip began to tighten.

Bloodshot veins spread across Johnny's eyes. His bug-like goggles cracked under the strain. He couldn't say a word. Those few seconds felt like an eternity—for a speedster, it was a living nightmare.

"Spare him."

At that moment, Alex, who had been watching silently all along, finally spoke.

Hearing Alex's command, the older man slowly released his grip. Johnny collapsed like a broken puppet, unconscious, both arms completely shattered.

"So… this is the level of heroism this world has to offer?" the younger man muttered, dragging Johnny over to Alex with disdain.

"Don't underestimate him," Alex said with a faint smile. "If he hadn't drained so much of his power crossing from the Antimatter Universe, his full-power Speed Force might've ripped through even your bodies."

"Then why keep him alive?" the younger man asked. "Is he like Batman? Another piece in your plan?"

"Oh, absolutely."

Alex licked his lips and grinned wickedly.

"To bring the big one from the Antimatter Universe into this world… Johnny Quick is the perfect gateway."
