The Anti-Matter Universe.
A conceptual and forbidden realm within the DC Multiverse, closely tied to the Green Lantern Corps.
This twisted mirror of reality was born billions of years ago, the result of a catastrophic and outlawed experiment. An alien scientist named Krona had tried to witness the origin of the universe. In doing so, he disrupted the natural order of creation—causing a ripple effect that gave rise to a dark counterpart of the Positive Matter Universe: the Anti-Matter Universe.
Its birth came at a terrible cost—millions of planets in the Positive Matter Universe were instantly annihilated by its emergence.
The Anti-Matter Universe functions like a dark mirror to our own. It twists everything it reflects and radiates a form of energy diametrically opposed to the Light of Life. This anti-energy is utterly corrosive and fatal to anything born of the positive realm.
(I always thought that was just theoretical—just a scientific concept.)
Hourman's voice trembled slightly. As a scientist himself—someone who had manipulated strange energies—he understood far too well what the Anti-Matter Universe meant. Its mere existence was a threat to everything they knew.
(Damian, are you sure that speedster came from the Anti-Matter Universe?!)
"I was pretty sure before," Damian muttered, scanning the readout on his Bat-device. "But now that you ask it like that… I'm starting to doubt myself a little."
After all, for most of the heroes present, this was their first direct encounter with anything linked to the Anti-Matter Universe.
Then, Nightwing finally spoke.
"I once heard Constantine mention the Anti-Matter Universe," he said quietly. "He told me it was the source of all rot and ruin—a place where a being of unspeakable power is eternally trapped in a cycle of reincarnation. A being powerful enough to threaten the entire Multiverse."
"Did Constantine ever tell you its name?" Red Hood asked sharply.
Nightwing nodded grimly.
"He said that entity was called… the Anti-Monitor."
The Anti-Monitor.
The moment the name was spoken aloud, a hush fell over every comm link.
It wasn't a name unknown to them—in fact, it was quite the opposite. Every Robin across the Apokolips War resistance of Apokolips had grown up with chilling tales of the Anti-Monitor etched into their psyche.
Damian hesitated for a moment, then said slowly, "If I remember correctly… wasn't the Mobius Chair originally created by the Anti-Monitor?"
His words hit Nightwing and Red Hood like a hammer, slamming into their minds with crushing force. At that moment, both of them realized the same critical truth.
In perfect sync, they both shouted—
"Batman!"
But to Hourman, listening through the comms, their reaction sounded vague and confusing.
(Batman? What about him? Nightwing, Red Hood, did you figure something out? Are you saying all of this is connected to Batman?!)
This time, however, no one answered Hourman's question. Both Nightwing and Red Hood fell silent, locking eyes with each other. And in that moment of silent understanding, they realized they were thinking the exact same thing.
Something only they would remember.
Years ago, during the final battle on Apokolips in the Apokolips War Timeline—when the heroes, with Alex's help, fought to liberate themselves from that hell—they had detonated the planet.
And back then, when the three Robins worked together to save Batman, who had fallen under Darkseid's control, Bruce had been seated on none other than the Mobius Chair.
Now, someone posing as Alex had abducted the speedster from the Anti-Matter Universe… and had also taken Batman. Clearly, their entire plan revolved around the Anti-Matter Universe.
And knowing that Bruce Wayne had once sat on a throne of Anti-Matter design—the Mobius Chair—it was no surprise he had become one of their targets.
"We have to inform the Overseer and Luthor," Nightwing said firmly, exchanging a glance with Red Hood.
Red Hood didn't argue. He fully understood the scale of this disaster. This wasn't just another scheme from Darkseid.
The appearance of this fake Alex… it could very well lead to a Multiversal catastrophe.
"What's going on?"
Suddenly—
A familiar voice echoed from behind them.
In an instant, every hair on the three Robins' bodies stood on end. Each of them instinctively shifted into battle stance.
To them—beings who had spent most of their lives surviving in shadows—someone approaching silently, without warning, was a red flag. A threat.
Red Hood nearly hurled his shield—until he caught a glimpse of the figure behind him. And just in time, he stopped, forcing himself to pull the shield back before letting it fly.
"Dean?"
Staring at the figure who had appeared out of nowhere, all of them—including Nightwing—looked visibly stunned.
"You guys okay? What's with the reaction?" Dean asked, confused by how the Robins looked like they'd just seen a ghost.
He hadn't yet realized what kind of chaos had been unraveling in this universe. But as Dean casually stepped forward to approach them, Damian suddenly raised his Batarang and shouted sharply—
"Don't move!"
"…!"
Startled, Dean froze on the spot, stunned by the sudden shift in tone.
At the same time, Dean glanced at Sam—both of them looking at Damian in total confusion.
"Are you really Dean?" Damian asked warily.
"What kind of question is that? Of course I'm Dean. Who else would I be?" Dean rolled his eyes, clearly annoyed at the suspicion.
"Prove it," Nightwing said coldly, brow furrowed.
Though he recognized them as the same brothers from his memory, after what had happened with the fake Alex, he wasn't willing to take any chances.
After all, Batman had been captured by someone impersonating Alex. Who's to say this Dean and Sam weren't impostors too?
More importantly, Dean and Sam should be in their own universe. There was no logical reason they would be here in Flashpoint Earth-One.
"I am who I say I am—Dean Winchester. How the hell am I supposed to prove that?" Dean said, frustrated—but he was already piecing together the situation. Something was clearly wrong in this universe.
Dean and Sam had seen this before—during one of their demon-hunting missions.
In the Supernatural Universe, they'd encountered shapeshifters—creatures that could literally peel off their skin and mimic another person's appearance to earn trust… before devouring their victim.
Dean and Sam had fought many of those. One even took their appearances once, turning them into international fugitives.
They'd eventually hunted down the alpha of those shapeshifters—a satisfying bit of revenge. So Dean understood exactly what was happening here. Something similar had found its way into this world.
"Alright, alright! Chill, guys," Dean said, raising his hands. "You're the world's greatest detectives—why don't you tell me how I'm supposed to prove who I am?"
Damian exchanged a quick glance with his two older brothers, then turned back to Dean and said grimly: "Tell us something only we would know—something just between you and me."
"Just between us two?" Dean blinked, then started digging through his memories.
"Oh—oh, right! Remember when you guys came to our world to help us take down the Leviathans? You and I were paired up, and during that one-month mission, you hooked up with seventeen different women and told me it was because you inherited your dad's elite genetics—"
"Stop! Shut up! STOP TALKING!!"
Before Dean could finish, Damian leapt forward to cut him off.
"I believe you, alright?! I believe you!"
He clamped a hand over Dean's mouth, shooting an awkward glance toward the increasingly judgmental stares of Nightwing and Red Hood.
"Identity confirmed. That's definitely Dean. And the other one's Sam. Those two are practically glued together—you'll never find one without the other. Plus, I trust their bond enough to believe they'd spot an imposter immediately."
Hearing Damian's "glorious" history, Nightwing and Red Hood couldn't help but shake their heads—but they knew this wasn't the time to dwell on it.
Now that the brothers' identities were confirmed, Nightwing stepped forward and asked the question that had been on everyone's mind: "Dean. Sam. Why are you here?"
"Alex called us in for backup. We were just in another universe helping him reset a corrupted timeline," Dean explained. "After that, he suddenly told us that something was targeting Flashpoint Earth-One. He said we had to get here fast."
"WHAT?!"
Everyone's expressions shifted in an instant.
"Alex is back?! Are you sure?!" Nightwing demanded, his tone sharper now.
"Where is he?! Why isn't he with you? Where did he go?!"
"Alex…" Dean hesitated for a moment, unsure why they were reacting like this. But after a pause, he gave them the truth.
"Alex split off from us before we arrived. He said there was something urgent he had to take care of—something that, if left unresolved, could affect the entire Multiverse."
"Did he tell you where he was going?" Red Hood asked quickly.
"He left in a hurry, like he'd sensed something big. But he did tell me one thing before he left…" Dean said, his voice growing more serious.
"He's headed to Apokolips."
Dean took a breath and finished: "He's going to confront Darkseid."
