Chapter 900 - Joyless Echoes Commanding Fate - Sha Naqba Imuru! (II)

Sha Naqba Imuru was Gilgamesh's most broken ability, but not an offensive one.

In the truest sense, it wasn't even a Noble Phantasm, but a mentality that continuously remained in an active state.

However, because of its sheer potency, even the King of Heroes kept it restrained.

With tremendous efficiency and precision, Sha Naqba Imuru could discern heavily concealed secrets with a single glance.

From True Names of Heroic Spirits to their Noble Phantasms, from the Contestant's mysteries, that not even some Deep Ones could glance at, to their connection to the Tower…

Gilgamesh could see, hear, and learn just about anything.

Not only that, he could even glimpse into different versions of himself in other timelines.

Sha Naqba Imuru was so broken, in fact, that it connected the Gilgamesh of a particular timeline to all Gilgamesh of other timelines… momentarily turning him unique.

The only thing that was keeping Gilgamesh from instantly becoming an existence like Herpo the Foul was none other than himself.

He was so proud that the different Gilgamesh of Pillar Timelines openly rejected assimilating the Mirror and Key Timelines, finding them worthless and degraded versions of himself.

That's why there was an openly known secret among the Contestants of higher floors, regarding Gilgamesh.

The King of Heroes was the closest existence that could step into the realm of Deep Ones… at his mere whim!

Of course, this whim was like looking at a star from Earth, knowing that it could go Supernova at any moment. Perhaps it had already exploded, but the light of that tremendous explosion hadn't reached the earth, making it a mystery in itself.

Something like that was true for Gilgamesh as well.

And it was all because of Sha Naqba Imuru.

Mostly, as a Heroic Spirit himself, The Root, through the Throne of Heroes, adjusted his memories and knowledge of the world in which he was being summoned to keep him from being confused by multiple sets of memories.

However, with every use of Sha Naqba Imuru, those blocked memories returned to him, letting him see past, present, and future.

And, as this would need him to bypass The Root's restrictions itself, one could imagine how magnificent this ability was, especially when even the Deep Ones remained wary of Akasha's Backlash constantly.

In the Primordial Tower's terms, Sha Naqba Imuru held the potential to be one of the greatest Extremities of the Fate Bubble, on par with True Ancestor, only if Gilgamesh was willing to bestow it upon someone.

However, Kai hadn't urged Gilgamesh to use this ability for all this.

Given that this was a Key timeline, it would be a far-fetched dream that Gilgamesh could unleash Sha Naqba Imuru to its fullest potential.

However, there was another, far more practical use of this ability as well.

Upon releasing its True Name, the ability allowed Gilgamesh to guide others with optimal tactics, while increasing the attack power and defense power of his whole team within his range.

And, with his desire to fight Enkidu to his last breath completed, and knowing that Enkidu had already made up his mind to assist the roaches on the ground…

… Gilgamesh had also chosen which side he wanted to benefit through his ability.

The moment Gilgamesh unleashed Sha Naqba Imuru, combining it with Enkidu's release of all the Command Seals, all the yellow crystals in different sets of eyes bobbed up and down.

Reality bent like it had never before.

The yellow crystals already stored a command for everyone.

However, creating the most mind-bending paradox, those commands came from the future, through Gilgamesh after he discerned the most optimal tactic to take down Gorgon.

Even Kai, who was the cause behind this paradox, momentarily frowned as past and future melted, even the Ad Infinitum failing to hold onto a particular time-node.

Other than Zelretch, who had become Kai's grandest audience, all were experiencing a glitch at the spiritual level.

However, this was also where Kai shined the most.

Because of his experience with D-Mail, an ability that he had spammed hundreds of times during the Third Stage of Tournament of Worth, he regained his faculties the fastest as well.

And the slaughter continued…

Yellow Crystals bobbed up and down deep into the hollows of Ainz Ooal Gown's eyes, commanding him to back the fuck off.

They danced in Rin's eyes as she obliterated Sakura's Shadow Giants using the Jeweled Sword of Zelretch, commanding her to use her last Command Spell.

The yellowness commanded the Holy Maiden to make the ultimate sacrifice—to use her forbidden Noble Phantasm.

They commanded Betty Shaw to pan the Video Camera upon Saber, while simultaneously tearing off all the information related to his Glitch from his mindscape.

The Yellow Crystals instilled the resolve to break all restraints in Saber.

Bobbing up and down, they forced Rider to release her second Noble Phantasm, letting go of her desire to see Sakura for one last time.

They commanded Lancer Alter to commit suicide, making the Blackened Servant puncture his own heart using the corrupted Gae Bolg with a bloody squelch.

They made Saber Alter blink right next to Black and thrust herself at the tip of the Sword of Azoth he was carrying, committing suicide as well.

Medea's Rule Breaker stabbed deep into Assassin's back as her eyes glowed yellow.

Yellow Crystals made the rogue, masterless Assassin unleash both of his Noble Phantasms one more time with the help of Rin and Enkidu's Command Spells.

The Overseer, with yellowness in his eyes, was already standing with open arms, as if he had given up on putting up any defense.

Assassin appeared next to him and plunged his dagger deep into the Priest's corrupted heart.

But none of these suicides and sacrifices were enough to take down the Avenger Class Servant, Gorgon.

So, with Yellow Crystals dancing in their eyes, Archer and Shirou appeared on Black's left and right, the three raising their right hands together, unleashing the taboo.

"I am the bone of my sword…" Archer and Shirou said together.

Black hissed, following the two. "… I am the blood in my bones…"

And, the darkened, accursed grand underground chamber began gaining colors —

— the likes of which perhaps not even the Pillar Timelines had seen in the history of the Multiverse!
