"What?!"

The surrounding citizens looked around in confusion until a thunderous roar echoed across the sky. Everyone turned their heads upward, gazing into the heavens above.

There, hovering in the air, was a strange-looking Pokemon that filled the onlookers with terror. The citizens stared at the bizarre creature with wide, frightened eyes.

"Ah! What is that thing?!" one person cried out.

"Some kind of... monster?" another whispered fearfully.

These ordinary people had never seen any of the legendary birds before, let alone this twisted, unnatural form that defied everything they knew about Pokemon.

Whirr-whirr-whirr!

The sound of helicopter blades cut through the air as an aircraft rose from the Game Corner, positioning itself next to the fused legendary birds. Inside the helicopter, Archer looked down at the terrified expressions of the citizens below, a cold sneer spreading across his face.

Watching these ordinary people panic because of Team Rocket's creation filled him with deep satisfaction. This was exactly what Team Rocket stood for - striking fear into the hearts of the innocent.

"Dragonite, use Thunder!"

A commanding voice rang out from behind the three legendary birds. A figure quickly emerged from the gap above the Game Corner that the fused birds had torn open.

Powerful electricity began crackling along the antenna-like appendages on Dragonite's head. The lightning spread across its entire body before being released as a devastating Thunder attack.

The electrical assault shot upward through the clouds, then struck down from above, hitting the combined legendary birds directly.

CRACK!

The Thunder attack engulfed the three legendary birds in brilliant, painful lightning. The creature let out an ear-piercing shriek that echoed across the city.

Archer frowned and turned toward the Game Corner, where he spotted Lance standing on his Aerodactyl, slowly flying out alongside his Dragonite.

Facing this monstrosity that went beyond the normal scope of Pokemon, Lance knew he couldn't afford to be careless. With him riding on Aerodactyl, Dragonite couldn't fight at full strength, so Lance needed to focus entirely on the battle ahead.

Since he didn't know much about this fused legendary bird creature, he wasn't sure what types of attacks would be most effective against it. However, despite the combined power of the three legendary birds' different types, they all shared one important trait - they were all Flying-type Pokemon. Electric-type moves were super effective against Flying-types, and Thunder was one of the most powerful Electric-type attacks available. Right now, Lance had no choice but to try different strategies.

"How annoying! Use Ice Beam!" Archer commanded coldly.

He hadn't wanted to get into a direct confrontation with Lance, but seeing the Champion pursuing him made Archer's expression darken with anger.

Following the order, the fused legendary birds beat their wings powerfully, dispersing the lingering electricity from their body. At the same time, the Articuno head opened its beak wide.

A beam of freezing blue energy erupted forth, launching a fierce Ice Beam attack directly at Dragonite.

"Flamethrower!" Lance called out quickly.

Dragonite immediately stopped its electrical discharge and opened its mouth, releasing a stream of intense orange-red flames to counter the incoming ice attack.

BOOM!

The two opposing energies collided in midair, creating a massive explosion. The resulting shockwave spread outward, and even the citizens far below could feel the tremendous power of the blast.

Scattered sparks and embers from the explosion began raining down from the sky. The citizens who had been watching the aerial battle in terror were now completely panicked as they saw the shower of fire falling from above.

"This is bad!" someone shouted.

"Quick! Everyone run!"

The crowd began fleeing in all directions. Lance noticed the chaos spreading among the civilians below and couldn't help but frown with concern.

Unfortunately, he didn't have any better options at the moment. He wanted to lure the fused legendary birds away from the populated area, but Archer obviously wouldn't fall for such a simple trick.

However, after observing the location and intensity of the explosion in the air, Lance was able to make some tactical calculations. The Electric-type attack hadn't been as effective as he'd hoped.

Both Ice and Electric types had strong resistance to Electric-type moves. Only the Moltres portion would be truly vulnerable to Electric attacks, but with Zapdos and Articuno's presence, most of the Electric-type damage was being neutralized, preventing any significant harm.

While there were many Pokemon with dual types, this creature in front of him effectively had four different types combined, severely limiting which moves could deal meaningful damage to it.

Still, even though the power of their individual attacks had been enhanced through fusion, they weren't so overwhelmingly strong that they couldn't be dealt with. As long as all three heads didn't attack simultaneously, Lance believed he could handle the situation.

BOOM!

Meanwhile, an explosion echoed from the front gates of Silph Company. Two figures could be seen retreating through the smoke - Pikachu and Scyther, each falling back to their respective trainers, Ash and Silver. Both Pokemon were breathing heavily from their intense battle.

"Hm?"

However, the sounds of distant explosions and commotion caused both trainers, who had been completely focused on their fight, to change their expressions.

Ash heard the familiar, piercing cry and felt an overwhelming power emanating from the distance. He instinctively raised his head and looked toward the source. Sabrina seemed to notice as well and followed Ash's gaze in the same direction.

Green and Silver heard the commotion too. Seeing Ash stop fighting, Silver didn't attack recklessly and instead followed Ash's line of sight.

At first glance, he spotted the bizarre figure hovering in the sky, and on the other side were Dragonite and Lance standing on his Aerodactyl.

"Mr. Lance? That's... what is that thing?!" Green exclaimed, her eyes filled with surprise and confusion.

Pokemon? That was her first thought, but she had never seen any Pokemon like this before. While there were countless varieties of Pokemon in the world, something about this creature's appearance filled her with dread.

"Is this their purpose for capturing the legendary birds? Is this the result you wanted?" Ash withdrew his gaze and looked directly at Silver, his voice calm but pointed.

Silver remained silent, his brow furrowed slightly. He knew about Team Rocket's plan, but he hadn't tried to stop it because his father was the organization's leader.

Throughout his life, he had believed that as long as he could gain power, it didn't matter what methods were used to obtain it.

But after encountering Ash, this philosophy had begun to change somewhat. He hadn't cared much about Pokemon before - in Team Rocket, powerful Pokemon were always available when needed, and unwanted Pokemon could be discarded or sold at any time.

However, he was discovering that when he tried to think about Pokemon the way Ash treated them, the Pokemon actually became stronger. More importantly, he found that he didn't hate this new feeling.
