AN: I HAD A RANDOM THOUGHT, THAT RAI WAS POWERFUL THAN LUFFY, BUT I IMMEDIATELY REJECTED THAT NOTION. THIS CHAPTER WILL EXPLAIN WHY. ANYWAYS, HOPE YOU GUYS LIKE CHAPTER 55.
[PREVIOUSLY ON GAMER PIECE]
"Okay, this is some bullshit." Nami, who is sitting next to me, chuckles.
"How was I supposed to know what 'Ryuo' meant when you didn't even explain about that?" I stare at Zoro, calling out his bullshit. The bastard hid—
Not only him, but everyone who was present in G1 Base hid the fact that they got some skills thanks to the Gamer System.
[3RD POV]
Hanafuda attacks Vergo, who dodges an attack from Don Accino, who gets hit in the face by Luffy, whose hand is smoking. Luffy ducks Hanafuda's attack as Vergo attacks Hanafuda, striking him in the chest and making him bleed. Don slams into Vergo like a cannonball, his body heating up to the point that he breathes fire out of his mouth.
Vergo, who is coating his skin with Armament Haki, endures the heat that Don is emitting from his body, as Hanafuda jumps at Luffy to kill him and take his Devil Fruit, but Luffy puts both his fists in front of him, clenching all of his muscles as he launches a shockwave from his fists, which Hanafuda takes head-on, shrugging it off easily.
Luffy knows that it will be difficult to just defeat one of these guys, but fighting all the three at the same time, that's stupidity that not even Luffy would have done a couple of days ago, but everything changed. People are too strong for him to do anything, and his crew is constantly put in danger because Luffy is not strong enough to protect them.
Luffy knows he cannot swing swords like Zoro can, he cannot navigate like Nami can, cannot surf to places like Merry can, cannot snipe others like Usopp can, cannot cook like Sanji can, cannot heal others like Chopper can, cannot think of plans like Rai can, cannot dance like Bentham can, cannot read like Robin can, cannot dream like Aisa can, and cannot use cannons like Wyper can.
He cannot do all of those, he is useless, he knows that. But Luffy also knows that he is their captain, and it is his responsibility to make sure everyone can do what he cannot do. He cannot keep losing anymore, he needs to get stronger, and there is only one way he knows how—
Through fighting. His grandpa always sent him through various dangers in order to make him stronger. He trained with Ace and Sabo (mostly Ace) for years to get as strong as he is right now. He still hasn't become strong enough to fight the 'Real' fight, and so, he is going to be stronger. He is going to become stronger by using his Devil Fruit—
Luffy ducks a wind slash from Vergo who tried to send a wind slash through his bamboo stick. Haki as well. Rai has emphasized developing Haki, and Luffy is going to develop his Haki, figure all of the types of Haki so that he can use it. He is going to fight until he figures all of it out. Luffy bends a little, as his legs compress into his thighs, before blasting towards Don and tackling him to the side, right as Hanafuda sends a wind slash at Vergo, who tanks the hit by covering his entire body with Armament Haki. Luffy senses this, and decides his next course of action—
He is going to figure out Armament Haki.
"OWWWWW!" Luffy screams as his skin burns a little due to the contact with Don, so Luffy stops holding him. Don lands on the ground, still in heat as he exhales smoke from his nose, which is so powerful that it propels himself towards Luffy, who dodges as he lies face-first to the ground, his hair stinging—
"ahhHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!" Luffy starts behaving like a monkey, his hair in flames due to the contact with Don. Luffy hits his head repeatedly, even putting his head on the ground and rubbing it, finally stopping his hair from burning—
"Yahahahaha! Strawhat, you like to touch your opponent to fight eh? Poor you!" Don mocks Luffy, making Luffy angry as Luffy compresses his fist before shooting it towards Don, who gets surprised at the speed, as he exhales into the air, him sensing the power of the punch through his Observation Haki, but Luffy's fists change trajectory, changing upwards as Don is surprised by this. Don immediately imbues his father belly with Armament Haki to soften the blow. (AN:- I FEEL DON HAS BOTH ARMAMENT HAKI AND OBSERVATION HAKI, HIS WIN COUNT IS IN THE THOUSANDS, PLUS, HIM HAVING HAKI WOULD BENEFIT LUFFY)
"ugh!" Don winces in pain as the punch slams into his belly with the force of a plane hitting the towers. Luffy winces in pain as his hands literally burn due to the contact with Don Accino, so Luffy has no other choice but to retract his fists back, holding it in pain as Don crashes to the ground. Luffy looks at his hands, and sees his knuckles burnt, the muscles visible. Luffy grits his teeth, sensing Don getting back up, and tries to think of a way to speed up the process of using the Colour of Armament, since he really needs it now.
[FLASHBACK]
"What is the training method to obtain Haki?" Zoro asks as Rai is explaining how Armament Haki works to everyone, making Rai look at him.
"Depends, one way is through the heat of battle. One has to throw a punch with the INTENTION, the WILL to touch the opponent, while the other is to understand the ability to WILL their spirit to be imbued into their swords, so they can cut whatever they want." Zoro's eyes widen a little, understanding something. As if figuring out what Zoro understood, Rai smirks.
"In simple terms, WILL yourself to hit your opponent, and WILL yourself to cut your opponent until you can use Armament Haki."
[FLASHBACK ENDS]
Luffy winces in pain as his hand is showing muscles, his skin all burned out. He clenches his fist, ignoring the searing pain that comes with the action, and looks at Don, who gets up, coating his arms with Armament Haki. Luffy senses how the will is hardening around the arm like an invincible armor, but rather than the armor being over the skin, the skin becomes the armor.
Luffy knows what he needs to do, something he does very well. Punch, but this time, punch with the WILL of hurting him regardless of his Devil Fruit. Luffy knows it's going to pain a lot, but he decides to abandon pain for the sake of growing stronger, as he needs to figure out how to use Armament Haki. His Devil Fruit isn't enough, which aggravates him.
Luffy jumps, dodging a fireball from Don as he kicks the air, sending a wind slash as Don breathes fire out of his mouth, neutralizing the wind slash. Luffy kicks the air again, spinning a little before deciding on doing something interesting. He throws a kick, enhanced by the spin which goes towards Don, who dodges as he doesn't want to get hit by a kick with the power of a plane crashing on a tower, TWICE.
The kick slams into the ground, as is stuck in it as Luffy is in the air. Don notices this and immediately shoots a lot of fireballs, but Luffy pulls his leg, seemingly trying to remove it—
The ground which is connected to Luffy's leg becomes wobbly, as the pull Luffy did pulls the ground like rubber. The ground moves wobbly, creating ripples that shock Don, who loses control over Observation Haki due to it, making him get hit by the ripples of ground coming at him.
Luffy rubberised the ground after touching it, something he wasn't able to do before. Luffy doesn't put mind to this, as he focuses on Don. Luffy kicks the air, coming towards Don as he throws a Jet Gatling Kick, sacrificing his sandals to hit Don, but Don explodes steam from his nostrils, flying upwards as he changes direction towards Luffy. Luffy bends in an unnatural way, dodging Don's tackle, as Luffy turns and decides to do something stupid.
He compresses his hands, and managing his body in the air, shoots them towards Don, who decides to meet them head-on, slamming his Armament Haki-clad burning fists into Luffy's fists, making Luffy scream in pain, retracting his fists. Luffy grits his teeth, before compressing his hands once again, shooting it towards Don, who responds in kind. Luffy starts punching over and over again, his fists burning as Luffy compresses his hands over and over again, his rubbery body giving him little to no problems.
Don is shocked at the speeds at which the fists are coming, and is not able to react in time, getting punched in the face, which burns Luffy's fists, but Luffy keeps going, punching Don over and over again, WILLING for his punches not to be affected by the heat that Don radiates, his body heat. Each punch hits Don, who is pushed back with each hit, but his endurance is something else as he takes all of the punches Luffy threw at him, hardening himself with Armament Haki. The punches' effects are diminished, while Luffy is getting burned, so all he needs to do now is hold on.
Luffy screams, both in determination and in pain, as his hands start to burn skin, eventually burning his muscles as well. His blood vessels are burnt, but Luffy keeps going, his determination to defeat Don Accino and learning Armament Haki making him continue. Luffy punches once more, this time with every strength he has, thankfully landing on Don's chest, making him startled as all the energy is transferred to the chest, making him get sent back, crashing to his ship, and making the wood burn.
Luffy lands on the ground, collapsing in pain as he holds his hands, his knuckles and even his fingers are burned to the point that bones start to be visible. His fists are in a closed position, losing the ability to move his fingers. Luffy grins, though, as he has figured out a way to damage Don WITHOUT using Armament Haki, even though he is fighting in hopes that he will be able to use it.
His determination to hit Don made him remember something Rai said, hitting someone WITHOUT touching them. Armament Haki can only be used by touching someone, but it's an advanced version called Emission. Rai also explained an attack that can do the same, but without the use of Haki. Rokougan.
The reason he was stupidly attacking Don even though he knew he shouldn't touch him unless he wants to burn is because he needed to "gather" Kinetic Energy to Use Rokougan. Rokougan is an ability to generate Kinetic Force as Shockwaves from the body, all of the power in the body released in one motion. Seeing Lucci use it against him in their fight made him understand what Rai explained. When he used it Against Cerberus, he gained a skill regarding the very same skill—
ROKOUGAN - ACTIVE - (Lv2) (EXP-14%)
DESCRIPTION:-
Rokougan is the Final Technique of The Rokushiki Techniques, where the User has the ability to Gather All the power stored in them and release them in the form of Kinetic Energy. The Kinetic Energy Emitted From The body results in a shockwave that can damage anyone internally.
Learning this skill allowed him to gain the understanding of this skill, him using this skill and leveling it up made him understand more of it, but he wouldn't be able to do what he did right here without Rai's Explanation.
When Rai explained about the Ship's Functions, he mentioned how the Ship gathers Kinetic Energy through Movement. Rai explained it to him in such a way that Luffy understood what Rai was saying. Luffy used that knowledge to his advantage. He punched Don again and again to generate Kinetic Energy, and released all of it through the use of Rokougan, or rather, a one-handed Rokougan, damaging Don's inside.
While this technique would damage Luffy's insides as well, Luffy's entire body is made of rubber, and eating The Rumble Ball boosted the ability to disperse all the energy without feeling anything, so the only one who could use such a technique in the entire world is Luffy.
Luffy gets up, sensing how Don's situation is right now. Meanwhile, the entire Ship that Don came in, in which he clashed due to Luffy's One-handed Rokougan hitting him in the chest, making him puke his blood out. If Luffy's Punches were like a plane crashing into a tower even with the increased defense of Armament Haki, then this punch he took just now seems like being hit by a V150, destroying Don's rib cages and other organs. Thankfully, his body is made of heat, and he has the ability to control heat.
Don heals his Body back by heating his entire body, before manipulating the heat of his body to repair itself. Don spits out more blood, getting up and looking at his shop burning. This pisses him off, along with him getting injured like this. His body starts heating even more, his body turning bright red orange, his belly turns Golden Yellow, as the entire Ground heats up, turning into Lava due to the amount of heat generated.
Luffy walks near Don, realising that Don is using all of his power. Luffy knows that if he wants, he can eat another Rumble Ball, which would push his Devil Fruit to its limit, but it would be a waste as he still needs to fight Vergo and Hanafuda later. Luffy thinks of a way to defeat him, and comes up with a variation of his already new variation.
Luffy jumps in the air, compressing his fists. He concentrates on his body, his ability to distribute Kinetic energy of attacks and make him invulnerable to physical attacks. Luffy puffs up a little, his smoke getting more dense as Luffy starts punching the air, rather than Don. Don controls the Heat in the Molten Ground, pushing it upwards towards Luffy, sending Lava at him. Luffy kicks the air, dodging it but continuing to punch, generating kinetic Energy. Luffy throws a punch, and a small burst of Shockwave is generated as Luffy releases a small burst of Kinetic energy from his fists.
Luffy speeds up his punching, as Don sends More Lava up to attack Luffy, who constantly kicks the air to dodge. Luffy throws a punch that has a huge amount of Kinetic Energy (not nearly as his one-handed Rokougan he used against Don before), which slams into a wall Don Created made out of Lava. Don narrows his eyes, figuring out what Luffy is doing. Luffy is somehow generating energy which is sent like a shockwave towards him.
"HITO HITO NO:- ROKUO GATTLING GAN!" Luffy's Punches start Generating Shockwaves capable of destroying a Small House, as Don protects himself by creating a shield in front of Himself through Lava, but after a couple of hits of the Shockwave generated by Luffy, it starts slashing everywhere as a hole is created in the defence, surprising Don.
Luffy compresses his legs as well, shooting it out as well, sending out Shockwaves to the point that it destroys the shield that Don Created. Don jumps to the side, dodging the shockwaves that rip apart the ground he was standing on. Don manipulates the heat in the Lava generated due to his heart mixing with the ground to shoot towards Luffy's Shockwaves, forming an arm. (AN:- JUST THINK OF AKAINU'S MAGMA ARM, BUT HERE, DON IS USING LAVA ARMS)
Each Shockwave is met with a Lava arm, which dissipates the Shockwave, but the next shockwave is a little stronger, Destroying the Lava fists a little more quicker. Each Lava fist gets destroyed a lot more quicker, and soon enough, not one, but two lava fists are needed to dissipate one Shockwave sent by Luffy. The Lava fists soon become ineffective as the Shockwaves grow massive in size, Destroying everything in their path.
Don dodges some of it, but he is pelted with many more, breaking his body even though he is going all out, his body at the maximum temperature it can handle, a 10,000 Degrees. (AN:- NOTE THAT IT'S JUST DEGREES, NOT CELSIUS OR FAHRENHEIT, AS THAT'S A LITTLE TOO MUCH. JUST THINK THAT HE IS 10,000 TIMES HOTTER THAN HIS BASE FORM)
Each Shockwave hits Don like a Sledgehammer, as by this point, each of the Shockwaves damage him similar to the One-Handed Rokougan, but this time, all he can focus on is his healing and Armament Haki.
Luffy, who has gathered enough Kinetic Energy that he feels his body is about to burst, immediately uses Two techniques at once. He kicks the air ten times, using Soru along with Geppo, speeding near Don, who has Lava all around him—
"Hito Hito no:-" Luffy points two of his Fists in front of him, aiming at Don, who can sense Luffy near him, but cannot react fast enough. And even if he did, it wouldn't matter. Luffy, somewhat floating in the air as to not touch the Lava all around him, whispers his final attack—
"Atomic Cannon—"
*BOOM*
As if an atomic Bomb went off, A force similar to the atomic Bomb slams into Don Accino, sending him flying into the Sea, the pure force enough to Shake the island as the entire area near the Sea is destroyed. The water has a gap in them, as if someone shot a Kamehameha Over it.
Luffy is shot back like a missile due to the force of the power he released, the ground that was under him not existing. Luffy slams through the Walls, speeding back towards the Group who are sitting, and passing by them. Luffy is huffing at the amount of Kinetic Energy and power he released, but he sees all of their Reactions for just a second.
Usopp, Nami, Aisa, Bentham, Robin and Merry all look shocked. Sanji looks calm, but Luffy notes the excitement in his eyes which he is hiding. But Wyper and Zoro do no such thing as they have a wide grin on their faces, but the one which makes Luffy grin as he passes them by is Rai.
Rai has a surprised Expression, like he didn't expect whatever Luffy did.
Luffy slams into another wall, traveling to the other side of the island due to the pushback his Rokougan Created. What Luffy did was create Kinetic Energy through his punches, and only sent 50% of it into his attacks, storing all of it inside of his body so that it doesn't escape. He released all of that power at Don, as he doesn't know what became of him.
He just doesn't care about that. His hands are mangled beyond belief, and he cannot move them anymore, his Nerves, his blood Vessels, his Skin are all ripped and melted apart due to the heat and the Rokougan, but Luffy believes he will be okay, as Chopper and Rai will figure something out.
The Force which is pushing Luffy dwindles, and Luffy controls his body, spinning and landing on the ground, sliding—
Right in the middle of the Battle between Vergo and Hanafuda.
