Chapter 310 - Chapter 155 I, Nappa, am willing to treat Earth as my second home (Part 2)

On Earth.

Watching Vegeta leave, Nappa suddenly let out a long sigh for reasons he couldn't explain.

Having been freed from that suffocating pressure, his body and mind should have felt incredibly relaxed, yet there was still an indescribable feeling lingering within him.

In the end, he could only shift his focus elsewhere.

In the first half of his life, he had always lived in Vegeta's shadow.

In the second half of his life, he would live for himself. Becoming a Super Saiyan was his next goal.

"Didn't expect things to end up like this, did you? Nappa, the fact that you took the initiative to free yourself from Vegeta's control does make me look at you differently. The chance to grow stronger, we'll give that to you. So don't let us down." Talot suddenly spoke.

Those words made Nappa feel an inexplicable tremor in his heart.

Talot was really that generous? Just accepting him like this?

"No conditions? No demands?" Nappa asked back.

The man who had been so fierce in the original work now looked especially honest and simple-minded.

"Staying on Earth naturally means you'll have to follow the rules we've set. No matter what kind of person you've been until now, from this point on you can't just go around wreaking havoc and killing at will! We long ago stopped being the kind of people who only knew how to find satisfaction through invasion and destruction." Raditz, seeing through Nappa's worries, spoke in a way that left him dumbfounded.

Of course, Nappa understood what Raditz meant; if he wanted to live on Earth, he had to be a good person.

"Just that?" Nappa's thoughts turned quickly. Compared to the chance of becoming a Super Saiyan, what was this?!!

Back then, they had invaded, destroyed, and killed only to create benefits for themselves while satisfying their own lust for battle.

Seeing Talot, Raditz, and Salari all nodding in agreement, Nappa became even more certain that they had turned into something like guardians of Earth.

Earth had become the new stronghold of the Saiyans!

"Understood! I won't let you down… I, Nappa, am willing to treat Earth as my second home!!" Nappa had made up his mind, but his words caught Talot off guard.

This old guy, is he a chūnibyō?

Thinking it over, Talot was relieved.

It must be for no other reason than the chance to become a Super Saiyan!

Even if Nappa was once utterly evil, he would still be willing to become the same as them, wouldn't he?

Birds of a feather flock together. A person's character and their environment are deeply connected.

Talot had once influenced Salari and Gine, later he influenced Raditz, and now Nappa was no different.

"Having the resolve is enough. We Saiyans can once again grow and thrive on Earth, producing new generations." Raditz nodded, patting Nappa's shoulder.

After just a few words exchanged, Nappa was no longer so stiff. He asked Raditz what their power levels really were.

"Telling you is no big deal. My power level has long since surpassed 13 million, Salari's is 12 million, and that's without using our full abilities. Once we transform into Super Saiyans, our strength can easily reach into the hundreds of millions, even over a billion!" Raditz answered with a cheerful smile.

He didn't realize that as soon as those words came out, Nappa was already so shocked his jaw couldn't close.

At that moment, Krillin, Yamcha, Tien Shinhan, and Chiaotzu happened to be nearby and heard this too, causing them to collectively suck in a sharp breath.

They had just barely managed to rebuild some semblance of worldview, and now it collapsed all over again.

Talot watched the scene and couldn't help but laugh to himself.

Although Vegeta had left, the way things were unfolding wasn't all that different from what he had expected.

History had already been completely altered. Nappa, who was supposed to have died, now stood with their side.

Whether or not Nappa could actually become a Super Saiyan was still an unknown, but if he succeeded, then history's first bald Super Saiyan would be born.

Talot was actually looking forward to that moment. He wondered, after transforming, would Nappa grow hair?

After all, Nappa had once been a sturdy and handsome young man.

At this point, however, he was already in his late thirties, heading toward forty.

And so, time flew by.

In the blink of an eye, nearly a month had passed since the Vegeta incident.

During this month, Nappa had more or less integrated into Talot's group.

Placed in a different environment, although he was quite unaccustomed at first, and various impulses were difficult to control, Nappa was gradually influenced over time.

Having spent years in the Frieza Force and constantly led by Vegeta into endless expeditions, his terrifying ferocity was gradually tempered by life on Earth. Though he couldn't possibly change overnight, his temperament was no longer as ruthless as before, intolerant of the weak.

The Nappa now, at the very least, wouldn't casually fly into a rage and think of slaughtering people at random. Compared to his counterpart in the original work, he was completely different.

Thus it proved that anyone could change. Even a devil steeped in countless sins could become a good person.

On that foundation, he gradually began his training as well.

For the moment, only the basics of ki training had been passed down to him.

It wasn't that they didn't want to teach him more, but he simply didn't have the sharp comprehension the others did. After more than half a month, he had only just barely managed to learn how to sense aura in detail and control it.

And that was with Krillin, Yamcha, Tien Shinhan, and Chiaotzu training alongside him, exchanging ideas and helping one another.

In Talot, Raditz, and Salari's blunt words, Nappa had brute strength but couldn't even master the most basic things.

In truth, Nappa's talent really was limited. In the original work, his power level was only 4,000, seemingly stuck at that stage with no way to break through. Even if he boosted his strength through tricks, that wasn't true power.

Though he called himself a descendant of a noble family, he was really just the scion of a fallen line.

In some sense, Nappa's progress in training still couldn't compare to Krillin, Yamcha, Tien Shinhan, and Chiaotzu.

The progress of those four could be seen daily, their power levels steadily improving under Talot's guidance.

Nappa is even less comparable to Goku.

After a month of intense training, Goku's strength had leapt forward again. His base form's power level alone had surpassed ten thousand, stepping into a whole new realm.

His goal remained one hundred thousand power level, because he yearned to learn Instant Transmission from Talot.

In truth, he was already qualified to learn it. But the rules established at the outset must still be followed as originally intended to serve as motivation.

Even though Goku's desire to grow stronger had already gone far beyond that.

On this day, Talot was pondering what training tasks to assign to Nappa and the others.

Suddenly, a voice rang in his ears.

It was none other than North Kai, from North Kai's Planet.

"This is bad, this is bad, Talot. Frieza has appeared!"

North Kai's anxious tone made it clear how serious the situation was. He was quite worried.

Hearing this, Talot immediately focused his attention and replied, "So he's finally emerged? Lord Kai, no need to panic. Take your time and explain."

Talot remained calm, but how could North Kai possibly stay composed?

These past few days, he hadn't paid much attention to the mortal world of the universe. When he probed today, he discovered that Frieza had left his homeworld and already summoned back his former elite subordinates, preparing for a major move.

Most importantly, he sensed Frieza's aura, and that strength was far beyond what Frieza once possessed.

Although the surface level wasn't yet on par with King Cold or Cooler, Frieza still had transformations.

If he was already this strong without transforming, then after transforming he would be several times or dozens of times more powerful.

The most crucial thing is the aura which made North Kai tremble with fear. Its magnitude absolutely surpassed the final strength of both King Cold and Cooler.
