"mom." came Kaes' voice, it was quiet, quieter than usual, but filled with more emotion than he was expecting.
Her blue eyes stared up into his own with fading remnants of sincerity and love. When he looked down at her neck, he saw blood starting to flow out, which unconsciously caused him to lick his lips as his eyes deeply focused on her blood.
Kaes watched hyper focused as the first drop of blood dripped down his mother's neck, and as it took all but a second to do so Kaes felt like he had been waiting for almost 10 seconds.
Tap
The sound of the droplet hitting the carpet was soft, so soft that nothing should have even heard it, yet to Kaes not even a meter away it felt as if he was just flashbanged as he first fell over covering his ringing ears as pure instinct, the next thing he felt was his stomach aching beginning to turn as he felt his stomach muscles trying to expel whatever was left.
He got down low to the carpet as his eyes looked over at the neck wound of his mother and just stared nonchalantly as she bled out onto the carpet, that was until his eyes came to a realization. 'Oh s***.' Kaes thought as he just watched his mother bleeding out like an idiot.
In a second he pushed himself up and covered his mother's wound with one hand, as he applied a small part of his strength right on her throat. However what he believed to be a small piece of strength seemed more than enough as a loud sound echoing through the whole hostel for a second.
Crack
The sound scared Kaes to the point that he immediately let go, afraid of hurting Irina, yet seeing as there was no reaction, or even a spaz, he regained his calmness. As Kaes turned his neck to his hand he was surprised by the result with what he believed to be a meager piece of his full strength, however as he looked for a second over his body it looked like he had the body of a seasoned athlete. If this were under different circumstances he would have greatly impressed, unfortunately his mother was bleeding out and there was very little he could do. Realistically only doctors could save her life and they needed to already be here.
All Kaes could do at the moment is try and stop the bleeding and try and get some help ASAP. Using his left hand once more, he gently clasped her neck , slowing down the bleeding and buying his mom more time.
"help." Kaes spoke out, his voice softer than a cloud and his throat drier than the Sahara. Kaes' eyes went wide open as he realized his voice was practically gone and he would have to wait till he heard someone walking down the hall to ask for help, but by then his mom might already be gone. By choice of elimination Kaes was stuck making sure Irina didn't bleed out.
As he was trying to get up off the ground, Kaes noticed that his legs weren't moving at all, even when he tried clenching his toes.
Haaaaaaaaa
Taking a deep breath, Kaes cooled himself before he started cussing like a sailor. He was now having to juggle the very difficult task of keeping his mother alive, only for problem after problem to smack him right in the face. Narrowing his eyes he began to formulate a plan to help his mom in the most effective way. 'I do this and then I do that.' Kaes thought as he looked down at her clothes.
Using his free hand he swooped up around his leg moving it to the other side of Irina's body and closer to a bed. Using his arm he grabbed onto the bed pulling himself and his mother right to the bed, where he put his back to it, and laid his mother up.
Now that he had her elevated he used two fingers and checked for a pulse, and fortunately he found one albeit very weak. Using his free hand he ripped off the bottom half of her shirt, balled it up and used that to apply pressure, instead of trying to hurt her again, by using his bare hand.
Haaaa
'How did this even happen?' Kaes thought while breathing out in frustration. As Kaes began to question the events of the past, his tongue began to roam around his mouth tasting the remnants of his mother's warm blood.
'What is that,... is that blood?' Kaes thought as his irises began to take a reddish hue, he had no time to think, as his fingernails began to grow at a rate visible to the naked eye. "What the f***."
He was starting to hear the heartbeat of his mother laying, the only way Kaes could describe it was faint, weak, slow, failing, there was no other way. "Help please, some…" Kaes tried to scream only for himself to feel the truth of his condition as he felt blood leak into his throat causing him to choke.
He was left choking and coughing leaving his blood to come out of his mouth landing on Irina's face and shirt, 'S***, my throat's actually f******.' Kaes thought as his irises began to glow red and his sclera began to turn black.
However unknown to Kaes the tear in his throat was already healing at a speed unknown to the human body, yet the remaining blood had only managed to stay within his throat, sticking to his throat as if kept still by an unknown force.
badum
The sound of Irina's weak heartbeat began to fill Kaes' ears, with what was soon to be the start of a sorrowful symphony.

Finally noticing the weakening heartbeat, Kaes felt panic seep its way into his heart, but there was nothing that could be done, as Kaes was left to watch as his mother's life reached its end.

There was no sound as her heart stopped beating, nothing dramatic, just a quiet passing of life. Yet for Kaes, his eyes began to leak tears as he was forced to do nothing but watch as his mother died.
badum
The sound of a heartbeat seemed to catch Kaes off guard, as his red and black eyes started to become more prominent. It was as if they were trying to assert his dominance, yet to whom or what remained unknown.

They were rapidly gaining momentum every second causing Kaes to wonder what was happening. If what he heard was her heartbeat, then his mother died, but that begged the question: Why was it getting louder?

Irina's eyes shot open, showcasing her blue irises capable of catching anybody's attention, and immediately focused them into Kaes' red and black eyes. Kaes' expression showed confusion as his mother watched him carefully. Slowly she moved herself up towards his face, pinning Kaes to his place.
'That's not mom.' Kaes thought as he saw deep into the eyes of Irina. Her eyes looked at her in a way that she had never looked at him, with want and desire. But before he could do anything to her, her head shot forward towards his neck and to Kaes' great surprise four fangs pierced his neck.
Gasp
It caught him off guard to the point that he couldn't scream out, it hurt immensely but there was a familiar feeling of blood, but instead of it being under his control, it was being taken away from him.
He felt like he was losing his capability to move what remained of his non paralyzed body, his spine slowly became numb and before long he was basically paralyzed once more. However, contrary to his waning health, his mother was doing great, her wound had closed and her body was regenerating the blood she had lost.
Kaes was stuck looking forward as the blood in his body was drained through, he was powerless to do anything. 'So this is what happened.' Kaes thought his eyes were unmoving and tired. 'We're like vampires.'
"Mom, stop." Kaes said softly only to receive no reaction. His eyes began to glow blood red, as they focused on her throat carrying his blood to her stomach.
"Stop." Kaes said his voice started to create ripples in the air, but his mother didn't listen and instead continued to drink his blood down. Kaes didn't know what was happening as he started to feel a surge of anger, an emotion unknown to him.
"I said," Kaes spoke, his tone now filled with irritation, "Stop." His mouth opened and from it protruded 4 fangs. Out of pure instinct he bit his mother's neck, beginning to suck out the blood she was drinking from him.
'This is… odd.' Kaes thought his fangs piercing her neck, Kaes felt this indescribable sense of power surging through him, it was something anybody would find extraordinary, but for Kaes all he felt was his desire to sleep grow stronger.
'So tired,' Kaes thought to himself as his eyelids grew heavy, and eventually shut, putting an end to his consciousness.
