The Quinjet flew through the night, its engines humming as it cut through the clouds. Inside, the team stayed alert. Loki was cuffed and silent, his expression calm, but his eyes glowed with hidden anger.
Bruce looked up at the monitor. "His energy is steady. No strange changes in his aura."
"Good," Steve said. "Let's keep it that way until we bring him back to the Helicarrier."
Tony leaned back against the wall, arms crossed. "Back to Fury's flying fortress. Hope he's ready for our little god of mischief." He glanced at Loki. "You know, for a god, you really have a terrible record—lost to a man with a shield and a holographic shadow monster."
Loki didn't answer. He just tilted his head slightly, a faint smirk playing on his lips.
Clint looked over from his seat. "Don't even try anything, Reindeer Games. Those cuffs are Stark-tech reinforced. You won't disappear again."
Loki chuckled quietly. "You think you've got me caught… but none of you really understand what you're holding."
Bruce frowned at Tony. "Is he trying to sound scary, or is that just how he talks?"
Tony smirked. "Hard to tell. Maybe he's practicing for a Shakespeare play."
Suddenly, the Quinjet's radar lit up red. The pilot straightened, gripping the controls. "Sir, there's a huge energy spike at twelve o'clock!"
Before anyone could react, lightning split the clouds ahead. A loud boom shook the jet, followed by another, even brighter flash.
"Whoa, whoa—what's that?" Clint yelled, holding the rail.
Bruce's eyes widened as the monitor readings spiked. "That's… not normal lightning!"
Tony turned toward the cockpit. "Jarvis, scan the sky—"
He didn't finish. A bolt of lightning hit the nose of the Quinjet, rattling the craft. The pilot struggled to keep it steady, alarms flashing.
"Brace yourselves!" Steve shouted, holding the console.
The storm outside grew worse. Through the windshield, a figure appeared in the clouds, surrounded by lightning—hammer in hand, cloak flying behind him.
Tony stared. "Oh, you've got to be kidding me."
A loud clang echoed as the hatch ripped open mid-flight. Wind rushed in, whipping through the cabin. Loki smirked.
"Brother," came a strong, commanding voice.
Thor landed inside the Quinjet, Mjolnir crackling with electricity. His expression was serious, eyes locked on Loki.
Tony raised a hand. "Okay, everyone stop—let's have a team meeting—"
Thor didn't respond. He stepped forward and grabbed Loki by the collar, lifting him easily from his seat.
"Enough tricks," Thor growled. "You will return to Asgard to be punished for your crimes."
Loki smiled faintly. "I thought you'd never come."
Steve stepped forward. "Thor, wait—he's our prisoner. We have orders to bring him in."
"You don't understand," Thor said, his voice like thunder. "This is beyond your world's concern."
Tony crossed his arms, unimpressed. "Yeah, well, he made it our concern when he stole the Tesseract."
Before anyone could stop him, Thor leapt out of the Quinjet with Loki in his grip, vanishing into the storm.
"Thor!" Steve shouted, but it was too late; the thunder faded into the distance.
Tony groaned, walking to the open hatch. "Great. Another one with impulse problems. Looks like I'm the only one who likes talking things out."
"Tony—wait!" Steve called, but Tony was already powering up his suit.
The blue glow of the arc reactor lit him up. "Don't wait for me, Cap. I'll handle blondie."
With a blast, Iron Man launched from the Quinjet, vanishing into the clouds after Thor.
The cabin shook from the sonic boom. Steve sighed. "Stark—dammit."
From his seat, Clint smirked, tightening the black gauntlets. "Don't worry, Cap. I can fly now too."
Steve blinked. "You what—"
Before he could finish, black demonic wings flared from Clint's back, humming with violet energy. His eyes glowed as he stepped toward the hatch.
"Yeah," Clint said, grinning. "Got an upgrade from Viper before we left the base. Let's see how it works at altitude."
With that, he jumped—wings cutting through the air as he shot off after Tony, leaving a streak of shadow behind him.
Steve stared at the empty hatch, wind whipping through his hair.
He exhaled, shaking his head.
"I see you all have pets from Alex," Bruce said as he joined Steve.
"I didn't see yours," Bruce added, glancing at him.
Steve pointed at his suit. "Mine's living armor. I'm always wearing him—he can't fly. His name's Aegis."
Two glowing eyes briefly appeared on his chestplate, looking at Bruce, then faded back into the suit.
"That's creepy… and cool," Bruce said.
Steve chuckled. "Yeah, I was freaked out the first time I wore him. But now it feels normal."
"What about yours?" Steve asked.
Bruce shrugged. "Didn't have time. I was busy with Hulk stuff," he said. Steve nodded.
Meanwhile, the chase continued. Thor dragged Loki through the stormy sky, with Tony and Clint close behind.
"You can fly?" Tony shouted at Clint while adjusting his suit mid-air.
Clint grinned. "First time I crashed, but now I can control it."
Tony nodded. "I crashed too when I tried flying in my suit at a million-dollar car test," he joked.
Clint laughed, focusing on the chase, wings slicing through the air as he moved alongside Tony. They chased Thor from two sides, coordinating with precision.
The storm raged around them, lightning illuminating the clouds like flickering searchlights. Thor gripped Loki tightly, flying with precision, each thunderclap echoing through the night. Loki struggled briefly, but Thor's hold was unbreakable.
Tony darted through the clouds, his repulsors blazing, catching glimpses of Thor's figure in the flashes of lightning. "Okay, blondie, play nice—no sudden tricks, or I'll fry you!" Tony shouted, banking sharply to avoid a thunderbolt.
Clint flanked Tony, his wings slicing through the rain-filled air. "Don't underestimate him, Tony. Even with Thor holding him, Loki can be sneaky," Clint called over the wind. His bow glowed faintly with dark energy, ready to fire if needed.
"I'm going to stop him briefly—try to fire an arrow at him at that moment," Tony said, then looked at Thor, muttering suddenly, "Darkness."
Thor, who was flying, suddenly felt all his senses vanish, though it lasted only a moment. It was enough for Tony to snatch Loki, holding him like a kitten, while Clint fired several arrows at Thor, that exploded and sent Thor flying away.
