the year 1920 after 2 years of world War 1 ended there was a town in the country side of Italy there were a family her name was Alice and the husband name Marshall and Marshall was in the war he was in first line just as many as his friends and people he cared about most of them passed away but that didn't change him he had his wife Alice she is a brave woman also his newborn
Alex was cute boy like his father black hair and yellow eyes like his mother
Marshall "i will go work on the farm for a while ay"
Alice says "alright dear take care", Marshall goes to the farm to plant the wheat on the land the country side were mostly quite but full of surprises definitely. Marshall "i should probably get started this not gonna plant its seed by itself". as he looks at the tractor that his father bought to him before he die it was hard for him a little sense he just died but the newborn made him forget all that as he got on the tractor and start using it for the very first time after a few hours it was sunset and almost finish planting the land.
"wow Marshall you really did it i can't believe it"… Marshall looks at Alice surprised face "yeah like a peace of cake but i don't know it doesn't feel right", Alice " what you mean by the that your so gloomy about everything now come on that like saved alot of time"
Marshall gets off the tractor. " i know but i miss my father he was great guy and the farm was supposed to be me and him you know?" Alice looks at him with a soft smile
" yeah i know he was like my father just as you but sadly the sickness have taken him
I'm sorry Marshall i know you loved him very much" ,
Marshall trying to hide his face from her as she says those word there nothing more he wanted then cry and do nothing yet the newborn has given him will to fight back again.
" it's all good we have Alex now i feel he gonna be a great man", Alice smile.
" yeah i hope so i just don't want him to not be so gloomy like you"
she laughed softly.
Marshall " oh really I'm gloomy?" she shrugged with a grin and looked at him
" oh yes you are Marshall the gloomyest man on earth",
she said with giggle,
Marshall toke his chance while she is
Un guarded and started tickling her she now fall into the mud while she laughs uncontrollably as he falls with her and giggle.
Marshall " what who is the gloomy now huh",
Alice "seriously stop it you gloomy man",
Marshall "stop what i can't hear you", as she continue giggling as he stop he looked at her with all the love and care in the world.
" i love you", Alice says with a blush " i love you too you idiot", Marshall "we should probably get a shower", Alice "yeah because it's your dumb ass fault", Marshall says with smirk. "will you the one who provoked me
besides what we gonna eat for dinner",
" is dinner really all you care about" as they both get up. Marshall "of course not i want to get a shower too", Alice says with smile.

as they both entered the house after they playful banter as Marshall goes in and goes to the room as he sit down on the bed shortly Alice comes in as she sees Marshall looking at the war medal.
"is everything alright?"
Marshall looks at her with a fake smile
"yeah it's nothing have you made dinner?"
Alice looks a bit worried
"no i haven't I'm gonna take a shower and start making it alright?" Marshall "yeah okay" as she leaves and goes to the bathroom. Marshall takes the medal and throw it in the trash as he heard a knock on the front door he gets up
"who is it"
"it's me Johnny" Marshall opens the door.
"hey Johnny what is the visit for this time"
Johnny was one of Marshall old friend that went to war with but not on best terms
Johnny says with big smile "got any beer buddy"' Marshall says "no not for you what is it?" Johnny " i just came to say hi man it's been few months" "Marshall looks at him with angry face."Johnny i don't have time for your shit speak up"
Johnny "alright man i don't need your beer i just came here to tell you that there is something going on man maybe another war things isn't good i don't know if anybody gonna be safe can i get inside?" Marshall looks at him seriously "alright come in what is it" Johnny sits down on the couch "like i said there is a war coming and we don't know if it's a civil war or
you know" Marshall sits on the chair "speak" Johnny says "it's about a new guy he is trying to be a prime minister he is name is Vincent vega they says he is pure evil"
Marshall "we not in war anymore Johnny"
Johnny "i just came to warn you i will be around in the town oh and the guys will be in town too" as Johnny leaves. Marshall think I'm sure it's nothing and he just a dumbass. as Alice finished the bath and gets out. "what was all that noise was someone here?"
Marshall "no there was no one here"
as Marshall said Alice goes to the bedroom Marshall goes outside and gather some woods for the fire place. as Marshall start to think about what Johnny said there is no way it's real i mean even if it is I'm in the countryside and nothing else matters. and he gather the wood and gets inside as he throws the woods in the fire place.and sits down.
"I wish just a little peace and quiet for once"
as Marshall says. the next day begins.
Marshall gets up "good morning" as he says to Alice. "good morning to you too are you going to the factory"
Marshall "yeah I'm going there anything you want?" Alice looks at him "can you bring me some tomatoes for dinner?"
"yeah sure i can do that"
as he goes to the factory it was a long way so he had to walk two hours to the steel factory as he enter the factory as he see the people gathered he sees Tyler his co worker
"hey Tyler what is happening"
Tyler looks at Marshall and says.
Tyler "the boss is cutting the payroll again and firing people because of the war"
Marshall knew the damage of the war but he
also know he can't do anything about it so he just stood there as there were people was getting fired right in front of him.
the boss called Marshall "yes sir?"
as the boss looked at Marshall "get to work"
as Marshall started working as Tyler approach Marshall. Tyler "hey did you know they fired old vinny and they planning to do more than that i mean we can't even buy anything now all because the damn war"
Marshall wasn't listening and kept working
as sunset comes and Marshall think about the money he making and the payment cutting and the firing people he knew he gonna be next just a matter of when "fuck"
as he says and finishes his work Tyler
goes to Marshall "you okay Marshall?"
Marshall was looking intense "do i look like I'm okay"
Tyler "sorry man i don't know what to say sometimes so um Marshall they say there is rebel going in the shadows". Marshall the looks confused "yeah I'm sure there will be one with how much they paying us how do you know this info?"
Tyler "i heard it from the guys bunch of steel factories already facing that it won't be much time then it be our turn i mean do you see how much they paying us. sounding angry with frustration.

thinking of next job or anything until the next harvest as he continues walking towards the house as he sees his neighbor house vacant as he finally reaches to the house.

Alice sits down on the couch and hold her tea as well "well they left why"

as i getup and see the newborn sleeping
"is he still sleeping?" Alice looks at him
"yeah he is been sleeping all day he should be up any hour now" Marshall goes change his clothes as Alice makes dinner the house was quiet for a minute as Marshall
"what is for dinner" Alice put the spoon down and looks at him "i made meatballs pasta did you want anything else?"
Marshall sits down on the table as he sees her book "no not really is that a new book?"
Alice grab the plates and puts it on the table
"yeah why" Marshall looks at the book it was
old yet he knew this texture
"is this yours Alice?" Alice sits down and grab her fork "yeah why i still can't believe they refused to publish it but I'm fine"
Marshall forgot that they refused to publish her book "hey forget about them one day your book gonna be famous and they will beg for your autograph" as they eat there dinner it was past sunset and marshall was feeling full from the dinner. Alice "can you do the dishes I'm tired" marshall gets up and takes the plates. "sure can you open the radio" Alice goes to the radio there was a song playing Alice. "oh i love this song"
Marshall suffer as she start mumbles with the song loudly as he wash the dishes and she starts dancing. "come on marshall dance with me"
Marshall "of course my queen" she giggled a bit "you know Marshall these kind of moments with you that keeps me going"
"i know it is for me too"
looks down. "what why you looking down it's just everything been hard"
"i know my love I'm sure we will pass this"
as the radio stop Alice sigh.
"the radio again broke you gotta fix it some day" Alice looks at him.
"can you fix the radio now" Marshall goes sitting down on the couch. Marshall "have you check the battery" Alice checks the battery."yeah i don't know do we have any other batteries?"
Marshall as he eats a carrot "i don't know when the last time we bought one" as he grab the newspapers from the war times and reads it as Alice goes searching for batteries in the bedroom Alice comes form the bedroom holding a battery. "found one" Marshall was irritated "great I'm going to bed"
