The emperor has a complicated look he doesn't wanna hurt his daughter's feelings "Tiantian you know it's hard to do that cause we don't know that the family Jian will agree." The princess pouts and looks at the emperor with a crocodile tears "father... You promised.. " the emperor who was always doting to her daughter couldn't resist those tears. "Tiantian i'll do my best.. But you're only 18 so no need to hurry about marriage let father arrange it" the princess who was in a solemn mode quickly hugs her father and happily thank him. "Really father?! Thank you! Father is the best!" With that the emperor lost to his daughter once again.
The brothers are riding in the carriage on their way to the river CangQiong with yuan as their driver when all of a sudden it rained hard. "Stop the carriage and lets take a quick rest in that cave right there, it will be hard to navigate if the rain is this strong". Jian zhi agrees and they go inside the small cave, Jian Yu starts a fire to keep them warm and sits down. "Ge? You easily started a fire with only a few materials. Did you learn it by experience?" Jian Yu leans against the wave wall and closes his eyes. "I have been travelling the world since i was a child so naturally i learn survival skill"
"Must be tough ge.. " Jian Zhi looks sadly on his brother.
"Don't worry about it. I'm alive and well in front of you aren't i?"
"Yes.. That's all it matters. " Jian Zhi knows there are some things his brother can't say to him.
"Young master" Yuan called out to him and put a coat on Jian Zhi's back. "Thank you Yuan" he smiles at yuan.
Jian Yu who heard them slightly open his eyes and look at them then close his eyes again.
One hour has passed and the rain shows no sign of stopping the fire is also almost gone. "Young master.. " yuan whispers to Jian Zhi who was dozing off. Jian Zhi opens his eyes and looks at yuan "what's wrong? You look pale?" Yuan's complexion isn't good so Jian Zhi quickly puts his hand on yuan's forehead to check if he had caught a cold. "I knew it! You've always been weak towards the cold. "
Jian Yu heard the commotion and opened his eyes. "What's the fuss? " Jian zhi turns to look at his brother "ge, yuan caught a cold." Jian Yu raises a brow and stands up and checks the man's condition. To be honest he doesn't trust that man but his brother looks fondly of him and he was the one who took care of Jian Zhi when he was away so he has to accept him. Jian Yu rolls up his sleeve showing his bare arm towards the man, Yuan who saw his action made him gulp a saliva while looking at the arm.
"What are you waiting for?" Jian Yu sneers at him. "If you don't do it now, my brother will be worried so do it now while I am in the mood to help you"
Yuan looks at Jian zhi who gave him a nod indicating that it is fine. He then holds Jian Yu's arm and slowly takes a bite using his sharp teeth, blood slowly runs down Jian Yu's arm while yuan who tasted a sweet blood couldn't help but drink a bit more before he stops and looks at Jian Yu.
Jian Yu on the other hand showed no signs of pain in his face, after yuan finished drinking his blood he then tore a bit of his own robe and wraps it to the fresh wound in his arm.
"Don't look at me like that. I only wanted to help my brother"
"Master your blood is sweet" yuan looks at him with all seriousness while having blood in his lips but his complexion is all good now. Jian Yu ignores him and heads back to his spot and rest again.
"Ge, thank you" Jian Zhi wipes the blood of yuan's face making yuan's cheek turn red. "Gege's blood is poison if he wishes to and it could be a cure. He can manipulate his blood, sadly i didn't inherit that powers. Mother said it was from father but we barely remember father's face." Yuan listens to Jian Zhi then bows to Jian Yu "thank you for helping me master" Jiang Yu just hum in response.
After the rain subside they immediately left to continue their travels. They arrived at river CangQiong, the river was lively and full of spirts. This river is famous cause if you want to enter the river CangQiong village you must pass the river which will determine you are bad or a good person. Good people can cross the river walking above the water while the bad people will sink and won't be able to pass the river.
Jian zhi and Yuan walk across the river while Jian Yu didn't move an inch. Jian Zhi noticed his brother wasn't following so he looked back only to see his brother looking at the river. "Ge? What's wrong? Are you afraid?" Jian zhi went back to his brother and held his hand. "Ge none of it was your fault.." Jian Yu looks at his brother and sighs then slowly takes a step in the river's water to his surprise he was able to walk on the water. "I guess they have cleared my name? " Jian Yu couldn't help but laugh bitterly deep inside.
They were able to pass the river and went inside the village, they were greeted by the spirits along the way for they recognize their high leader's sons.
