Wu heng who was discussing important matters with the high ranking leaders of spirits. "Your Highness thank you for reaching us to tell us this important issue. We cannot have humans run amok in our territory" says one of the elder spirits.
"Don't worry old wang i will take care of them if they cause trouble in river CangQiong again" Wu heng reassured.
"I will count on you then" Elder wang nodded.
"Your Highness will stay and have a feast with us?" says one of the elder spirits.
"No i have things to do later so i will take my leave now" wu heng refuses and stands up bowing to the elder spirits then goes on his way. The spirits couldn't stop the crown prince from leaving since he has a stubborn personality.
In order to reach the house of elder spirits they have to cross the river riding a boat guided by the spirits. Jian Yu was quietly sitting behind his brother and his bodyguard while riding the boat when he sense something familiar. Jian Yu looks around despite having the fog making it harder to see the surroundings. Since the elder house mustn't be known by any human so they have to pass the river fog guided by spirit.
Jian Yu looks for the source of familiarity when he sees an outline of another boat with someone sitting inside. He blurted out "Xiao heng?" Before the fog thickens and makes him unable to see the person sitting on the boat. Jian Zhi hears his brother and looks behind to only see his brother's eyes look of excitement and anticipation.
Wu heng who was closing his eyes with his body guard sitting besides him heard that man's voice.
𝘟𝘪𝘢𝘰 𝘩𝘦𝘯𝘨?
Wu heng quickly opens his eyes and turns around to the source of voice only to see a blurry outline of a boat which eventually fades away due to the thick fog. The only person who calls him xiao heng is Jian Yu who vanished a long time ago. It must be because he has long been looking for Jian Yu that he is hearing voices now.
The brothers have arrived at the elder spirit house they were greeted by spirits who knows Jian Zhi cause he always visits their mother but the look the spirits gave to Jian Yu made Jian Zhi mad so he scolded the spirits. Jian Yu in the other hand wasn't affected at all he is used on being treated that way.
"Sons" a gentle voice called out to them.
Both brothers look up to see their mother. Jian Zhi bows down and greeted his mother but Jian Yu was unfazed and just looks away. Their mother still have a youthful look despite being one of the Elders of the spirits "Jian Yu you have finally came back, mother misses you".
"And i don't. " Jian Yu responds. "I only came here cause my brother wants to"
Their mother have a guilty look and sighs "son, what happened 10 years ago i apologize and i wanted to make it up for you"
"I don't need anything, after visiting grandfather i will be on my way again" Jian Zhi who heard this was shocked. "Ge? Are you leaving again? "
"I don't belong here.. " Jian Yu smiled
"Ge how could you say that.. This is your home too"
"Your brother is right Jian Yu, i wanted to make up for my mistakes 10 years ago" his mother response too.
"Suit yourself. " Jian Yu just walked away and Jian zhi wanted to follow him but was stopped by his mother.
