"Finally got it... my feet hurt so much. That bad guy is so mean! Always bossing me around! I'm still so little—how could he make me join such a terrifying scramble? Hmph."

Having successfully retrieved a Wisdom Seed from the Wisdom Lotus, the Natu furrowed her brow and gingerly moved her aching little claws. Glancing up at the light drizzle falling from the sky, she grumbled with frustration.

But as soon as she remembered that she had already been caught by Sato using a PokeBall, her spirit deflated completely. Once again, she felt bitter regret for letting her guard down, inwardly scolding herself for eating and ranting so carelessly.

If not for that, even with her ability to foresee the future, she wouldn't have been caught off guard so easily.

After being captured in a PokeBall, Natu realized she had formed a strange bond with it. But rather than calling it a connection, it felt more like a terrifying shackle.

With her precognition, she could sense clearly that if she remained outside the PokeBall for too long, something dreadful would happen to her.

At some unknown point, a dark cloud had gathered over the central lake, and light rain had started to fall quietly during the second wave of the Wisdom Seed battle.

When Natu, under Sato's command, successfully snatched a Wisdom Seed, both Crobat and the Shiny Beautifly had also managed to grab seeds from other Psychic-type Pokémon.

At that moment, both Crobat and the Shiny Beautifly were temporarily granted the Swift Swim ability with the help of Kecleon and Thomas's Seismitoad.

Both Pokémon were already incredibly fast—especially Crobat. With a base speed stat of 130, it far outclassed most other Pokémon.

Even the Shiny Beautifly, equipped with a mutant Supreme Sky Splitting Stone, wasn't as fast as Crobat unless she used Quiver Dance.

Now, in the rain, Crobat with Swift Swim practically became a streak of purple lightning across the sky. Using echolocation, it quickly locked onto a Psychic-type Pokémon that had just secured a Wisdom Seed.

That unfortunate Kadabra didn't even have time to warm the seed in his hands before Crobat ambushed him.

First, Crobat used Taunt to disable Kadabra's ever-reliable Teleport, then followed up with a powerful Shadow Ball, seriously injuring him.

With Kadabra down, Crobat swooped in and snatched the Wisdom Seed from his limp hands without resistance.

Elsewhere, the Shiny Beautifly had already completed two Quiver Dance boosts in mere seconds and identified her own target: a Chimecho that had just wrested a Wisdom Seed from another Psychic-type.

Chimecho's tail was one of its brains and allowed it to monitor behind itself.

This high-level Chimecho—already level 46—was just about to lift the seed when he sensed the Shiny Beautifly attempting a sneak attack from behind.

Instantly, Chimecho halted his grab, spun around with lightning speed, and fired a dazzling Psybeam from the twin white horns atop his head.

Unfortunately for him, the Shiny Beautifly, now boosted twice with Quiver Dance, was even faster than Crobat. Unless Chimecho had clairvoyant foresight, he wouldn't be able to track her movements.

Swish~! Her wings flapped, and she became a blur—a streaking Z-shaped lightning bolt—evading the Psybeam and slamming into Chimecho's flank with an accelerated Aerial Ace.

Before the still-conscious Chimecho could counterattack, a wave of sound rippled through the air—Bug Buzz. It struck him head-on, knocking him out and ending the battle.

At the same time, Thomas had also dispatched his newly-caught Sneasel to help Sato seize a Wisdom Seed.

Though he didn't know exactly what the seeds were for, he could tell they were rare and valuable. Now that his superior Sato was after them, he naturally gave it his all.

Soon, Thomas set his sights on a Slowpoke who had "luckily" obtained one of the Wisdom Seeds. Before the Pokémon could eat it, Thomas ordered his Sneasel—who had recently been "persuaded" by Swampert—to snatch it away.

This Slowpoke hadn't yet evolved into a Slowbro due to not catching a Shellder, but it was already level 43—clearly a cut above the average. At least it was much more alert.

The moment it saw Sneasel charging toward it, it shoved the seed in its mouth and tried to dig into the ground using Dig to escape.

But Sneasel now had the Swift Swim ability too, and with the rainy weather, its speed was absurdly fast.

Before the Slowpoke could fully disappear underground, Sneasel had already reached him and slashed at his exposed rear with a powerful claw.

A deep gash appeared on the Slowpoke's backside, and the poor creature yelped in pain—but clenched his teeth and kept digging.

Unfortunately for him, Sneasel was a cunning predator. At this moment, Slowpoke was like a lamb awaiting slaughter—there was no way Sneasel would let him go.

Blue Ice-type energy surged over Sneasel's claws.

With a sly grin, Sneasel pressed his frost-covered claws against the Slowpoke's rear end and began vigorously rubbing.

A layer of icy frost quickly formed on the Slowpoke's butt, sending chills across his entire body. He trembled violently, goosebumps covering every inch of his skin.

Within moments, the exposed half of Slowpoke's body had been completely frozen.

Finally, pushed to the brink, the tormented Slowpoke gave up resistance. Eyes vacant, he crawled out from the hole and meekly spat out the Wisdom Seed.

As Thomas successfully delivered a Wisdom Seed for Sato, Sato himself stood by the lake, orchestrating a cinematic battle scene—his leads were Swampert and a red Shiny Gyarados.

ROAR!!!

A deafening roar erupted from the red Gyarados as it crashed into the lake. The shockwave rippled across the water and shoreline, and its Intimidate ability—bolstered by its special Tyrant ability—activated.

Instantly, many Psychic-type Pokémon with weaker wills fainted on the spot.

Meanwhile, loud booming impacts echoed along the lakeshore.

In the rain, Swampert—now empowered with Swift Swim—became a blue blur darting across the shoreline.

With blazing speed and immense strength behind its punches, Swampert knocked out several Psychic-types before they could react—those who hadn't been felled by Gyarados's Intimidate and lacked Teleport.

In just a few seconds, nine massive craters appeared on the lakeshore.

In each pit lay a strong Psychic-type Pokémon—and each of them, without exception, had been holding a Wisdom Seed before being knocked out.
