Elian stared at the unusual Greninja standing before him.

He remained silent for a long moment.

Why were all the Pokemon that Chris sent out so... extraordinary?

First there was the Aggron that had mastered Wonder Room, and now there was this Greninja capable of what appeared to be MEGA Evolution.

Elian couldn't find any of this information in Chris's official trainer profile or battle records.

Was this the nature of a young trainer who was in a period of rapid growth? Growing so fast that the speed of information updates couldn't keep up with the rate at which he was becoming stronger?

Or was Elian himself standing still and being left behind by the changing times?

Elian asked himself honestly - he had never slacked off since becoming a trainer and had always kept making progress. So why did he feel like he was standing still and being abandoned by the advancing world of Pokemon training?

"Pidgeot, use Tailwind!" Elian took the initiative and gave the first command. After all, he was still an Elite trainer and had the pride that came with that prestigious title!

"Hey!" under the power of MEGA Evolution, MEGA Pidgeot clearly felt its master's intense desire for victory, and suddenly it seemed to be filled with incredible energy.

With a powerful flutter of its magnificent wings, a Hurricane suddenly rose from the battlefield!

Two Twisters emerged from the ground, and these spinning wind attacks were snow-white like the cold light reflected from knife blades, rushing forward with icy sharpness and deadly precision.

The Tailwind move is designed to increase the movement speed of all Pokemon on the user's side. In real battle conditions, it also has the secondary effect of reducing the opponent's speed.

But right now, this combination wasn't just slowing down the opponent's speed. If Greninja didn't resist or counter this attack, it might be cut down by the fast-rolling Twisters on the spot!

"Tailwind plus Hurricane plus Air Cutter..." Chris analyzed the true nature of the moves being used by MEGA Pidgeot.

This wasn't something he had guessed on the spot, but rather a conclusion he had reached through studying video footage of Elian's previous battles and reading analysis reports from many experts and Pokemon researchers online.

This combination of moves was the signature strategy of Elite Elian!

A simple combination of two moves couldn't really be considered a signature technique.

Chris himself combined Force Palm with chain kicks in his own battles.

But the current combination of three different moves was not something that just anyone could easily achieve or master.

The difficulty was extremely high and the power was tremendous. It wasn't as simple as a basic mathematical equation of 1+1+1=3!

Chris also had his own version of a 1+1+1 move combination.

So far, very few Pokemon had learned this technique and could use it effectively in actual battle.

But for Elian, combination techniques were his true "signature." This three-move combination wasn't just one isolated set - he had integrated multiple combinations into his fighting style!

No, Chris realized he had been thinking too simply about Elian's strategy.

This wasn't three moves combined into one, but actually four moves combined into one devastating attack!

The two Twisters intersected as they moved forward, which created a cutting effect similar to a blade, but now they were also intersecting like a powerful slash attack!

In front of Greninja, it seemed like a massive "storm" was approaching with deadly intent!

Wasn't this showdown supposed to be just beginning?

It was clear that Elian was pulling out all the stops right from the start.

"X-Scissor?"

Chris couldn't quite identify what the fourth move was exactly. But it definitely wasn't a Bug-type move like X-Scissor.

It was obvious that Elian really wanted to regain the advantage immediately and turn the tide of battle.

After Pidgeot underwent MEGA Evolution, its ability had changed to "No Guard."

No Guard: The moves used by this ability's Pokemon and the moves that target this ability's Pokemon will definitely hit their target, including Pokemon that are in situations such as using Fly or Dig to avoid attacks.

There was only one effective way to battle with a Pokemon that had the No Guard ability - abandoning defense entirely and focusing completely on overwhelming offense.

Elian just wanted to engage in an all-out battle with Chris!

When opponents meet on a narrow battlefield, the brave one wins!

Coincidentally, ever since Greninja had become capable of its special evolution, Chris's battles had always been fought with this aggressive, head-to-head approach against rivals!

"Greninja, use Spiral Golden Aura Shuriken!" Chris commanded loudly and clearly.

Greninja reached out with both hands to the left and right sides.

Its right hand grabbed the Water Shuriken from behind its back, while its left hand was held empty. A substitute technique appeared, and the power of aura began condensing together with incredible energy.

The visual effect was quite similar to a famous ninja technique of creating energy spheres!

When an Aura Sphere the size of a large millstone was successfully condensed and formed, the Water Shuriken had already been coated with a brilliant layer of gold.

Under everyone's surprised and amazed eyes, Greninja leaped high into the air and carefully "embedded" the huge Aura Sphere directly in the center of the Water Shuriken.

It locked onto its target and prepared to launch the attack directly!

Spiral Golden Aura Shuriken!

This attack was much larger than an ordinary compressed Aura Sphere, with significantly stronger destructive power. The Spiral Golden Aura Shuriken rotated incredibly fast after the Aura Sphere was embedded within it!

It looked almost as if a golden disc had been inserted directly through the middle of the massive Aura Sphere!

The collision occurred as the Spiral Golden Aura Shuriken and Elian's complex "Tailwind" combination attack met in the center of the battlefield.

Like two incredibly sharp blades crossing each other and then slowly being pulled apart, the sound of metal scraping and tearing was extremely uncomfortable to hear, and even made people feel an urge to cover their ears in irritation.

The collision of the blade-like attacks was just the beginning. The Spiral Golden Aura Shuriken was gradually cut and consumed by the endless air currents, turning into water vapor that was barely visible to the naked eye.

But in the Spiral Golden Aura Shuriken technique, the Spiral Aura Sphere was the true core of power and destruction.

"BOOM!"

When the Spiral Aura Sphere pressed forcefully into the center of the slashing wind attack, an explosion became absolutely inevitable.

This was different from ordinary explosions. At the same time as this massive detonation occurred, the power of the twisted aura became entangled with countless Air Cutter attacks, flying chaotically in all directions without regard for friend or foe.

Not only was the inside of the Spiral Aura Sphere extremely chaotic and destructive, but so was the complex "Tailwind" combination attack from MEGA Pidgeot!

Two similarly chaotic and powerful moves collided together, and the effect was like setting off incredible fireworks, with attacks flying everywhere in random directions.

The scattered attacks struck the surrounding energy barriers, even creating fine cracks in the protective walls.

Greninja had to quickly command its substitute to activate "Protect" as a defensive shield in front of them.

"Increase the strength of the energy barriers immediately!" the head referee suddenly shouted with urgency.

Elite-level battles required not just a regular referee, but also a chief referee who monitored the overall situation. This was especially important when encountering power that might exceed the upper limits of the protective barriers during intense duels between two powerful trainers. In such cases, the chief referee needed to immediately activate higher-intensity protective shields to ensure audience safety.

If the energy barriers at the beginning of the battle could block attacks from a champion-level Pokemon, then now, unless a Pokemon Master's Pokemon launched an attack, it would be impossible for these barriers to be broken through.

This kind of high-strength energy barrier typically only appeared when an Elite challenged a Champion, or when Champions from different regions battled against each other.

And now, facing the flying Bird-type Air Cutter attacks scattered everywhere, the National Pokemon Arena had to activate these maximum-strength protective measures.

Chris stood perfectly still without moving, his concentration and attention reaching their absolute limits.

Both he and Elian understood the situation clearly.

When their powerful energies collided, the aftermath of the moves spread outward, and thick black smoke rose up, completely blocking the sight and sound between both sides. This was the crucial beginning of their next major confrontation.

At exactly the same moment, both Chris and Elian gave their next orders simultaneously.

"Greninja, use Cut!"

"Pidgeot, use Brave Bird!"
