The two figures instantly became blurred and leaped into the thick smoke at exactly the same moment.
Before many people in the audience could see clearly what was happening, they heard the heavy, metallic sound of "clang, clang" coming from within the dense haze.
Greninja and MEGA Pidgeot were colliding violently in the smoke-filled battlefield.
Greninja raised its sharp, milky white blade and slashed downward, while MEGA Pidgeot didn't dodge or try to evade at all. Instead, it used its powerful wings like knives to strike back.
After several intense collisions, both Pokemon attacked with everything they had, holding nothing back.
"CLANG!" The sound was like a sonic boom echoing across the arena.
The white blade in Greninja's hand was trembling from the impact, its palm was shaken painfully from the force, and its figure was pushed out of the smoke by the reaction force, sliding back to appear in front of Chris.
MEGA Pidgeot was also sent flying backward through the air. After its MEGA Evolution, its attributes focused mostly on special attack power, so its raw physical strength wasn't quite as good as Greninja's. It would only suffer losses from direct physical confrontations like this.
"Use Aerial Ace!" Elian commanded with determination.
MEGA Pidgeot's fighting style with the No Guard ability was to focus only on attacking and never defending!
The MEGA Pidgeot that had been knocked backward immediately turned around gracefully in the air, then dove down at tremendous speed. It pulled up at the very last moment before impact and rushed forward while staying close to the ground, reaching incredible velocity!
But just like before, Elian's Tailwind wasn't an ordinary, simple Tailwind move, and his Aerial Ace was definitely not a standard Aerial Ace either! They were all combined "ultimate techniques" that he had perfected!
MEGA Pidgeot became covered with a layer of almost transparent airflow, like wearing an invisible coat. A layer of dark green flames burned on the surface of this energy coating - this was Dragon-type energy! There was still a small amount of golden light at the position of its tail, so when it was flying, it looked like it was dragging a brilliant trail of flames behind it.

All Greninja could do was quickly position its Substitute in front of itself and activate "Protect," while at the same time crossing its arms and using its own "Protect" technique as an additional layer of defense.
Even with all of these defensive measures in place, MEGA Pidgeot easily penetrated through Greninja's Substitute, broke through its Protect barrier, shattered Greninja's own Protect defense, and finally slammed Greninja hard against the wall directly behind Chris.
Turning its head and flapping its magnificent wings to take off into the sky once more, MEGA Pidgeot let out a sharp, piercing cry that echoed throughout the arena.
"SKREEEE!"
It sounded like a declaration of victory, and at the same time like a display of its overwhelming might and power.
As the other half of the Bond Transformation, when Greninja was hit with such tremendous force, Chris was also affected by the impact. He covered his chest with one hand, and sweat began pouring down his forehead involuntarily.
"I still can't underestimate an Elite trainer!" Chris said through gritted teeth.
The only good news was that Greninja had relied on its Clairvoyant's Eye training to activate its defenses in advance, so it wasn't defeated in a single blow and hadn't lost its ability to continue fighting.
Greninja fell from the wall where it had been embedded, leaving behind a deep crater that was nearly one meter deep in the solid surface.
It looked up at the sky, locked its gaze on MEGA Pidgeot soaring above like a majestic bird of prey, and burning flames of determination blazed in its eyes!
The battle was not over yet! Greninja still had the strength and will to fight!
"Pidgeot, finish this! Use Killing Aerial Ace!" Elian commanded with an expressionless face. This was not the time to celebrate or be happy about a successful attack.
High in the sky, MEGA Pidgeot began falling again, but this time it was in a spiraling descent. Just when it looked like it was about to crash into the ground, it pulled up its body and began flying in a tight spiral pattern close to the battlefield surface!
MEGA Pidgeot's beautiful feathers created golden streamers behind it, dark green flames danced all over its body, and there was a faint dragon-shaped aura attached to its form! But because MEGA Pidgeot was flying in such a tight spiral pattern, this dragon-shaped energy was almost impossible to see clearly.
This time, Elian's command had included the word "killing," which meant the move combination had changed once again. He had added another technique called "Drill Peck" to his original devastating combination!
The ultimate combo technique: "Aerial Ace + Dragon Rush + Quick Attack + Tailwind + Drill Peck"!
Chris could tell that this move was different from the previous attack and that it was significantly more powerful, but he couldn't figure out exactly what specific move had been added to the combination. Between the critical moments of battle, he didn't have time to analyze it thoroughly. What appeared in both his and Greninja's eyes was something that looked like a sharp arrow, a deadly spear, and a blazing comet all at once.
However, with the experience from the last exchange of attacks, Chris didn't worry about trying to analyze the changes in MEGA Pidgeot's move combination.
The command he wanted to give had already been decided the moment Elian opened his mouth to speak.
"Teleport!"
This instruction wasn't spoken aloud, because there simply wasn't enough time to say it.
Instead, it was communicated through their mental connection.
Chris and Greninja were linked by their bond.
At the exact same instant that Chris thought of using Teleport, Greninja had already begun executing the "Teleport" technique.
The moment the golden energy was about to pierce directly into Greninja's chest, Greninja's figure twisted and dissipated like smoke. What followed immediately was the massive explosion when MEGA Pidgeot's attack crashed into the arena walls!
"BOOM!!"
The wall of the battlefield was pierced and broken on the spot. The attack didn't stop until MEGA Pidgeot's sharp beak had driven deep into the protective energy barrier. The wall cracked and shattered piece by piece, with damage spreading across a range of hundreds of meters! The broken rocks and debris fell down like rain, almost completely burying MEGA Pidgeot under the rubble.
"Greninja, use Super Energy Gathering Spiral Aura Shuriken." Chris gave his order immediately, and the move he chose to use was also an ultimate technique!
As his voice finished speaking, a compressed Aura Sphere the size of a millstone was already falling from high in the sky above.

The light was absolutely dazzling, taking up everything in sight. The temperature around the battlefield changed from pleasantly warm to intensely hot, and then suddenly to dark and icy cold. The entire process was like watching a sun falling from the heavens!
Everything faded into nothingness.
