In the Kanto Region, Chris located an NPC named "Bill" at the laboratory on Route 25, near Cerulean Cape. Bill was the unfortunate researcher who had conducted a Pokémon teleportation experiment that accidentally merged him with a Nidorino.

After helping Bill and the Nidorino separate using the machine in his laboratory, Chris received the "Tri-Pass" that would grant him access to the Sevii Islands.

Because Chris had already conquered Victory Road in the Kanto Region, Bill provided him with a pass that allowed access to all of the Sevii Islands.

With this pass in hand, Chris could move freely throughout the entire archipelago.

He traveled by air to Vermilion City Harbor, then boarded the Seagallop ferry that would take him to his destination.

Chris arrived at the Sevii Islands at eleven o'clock at night.

Opening his map interface, Chris immediately locked onto the location of Birth Island.

Just in the lower right corner of the Sevii Islands map, there was a small island shaped like a triangle. If his memory served him correctly, this should be Birth Island.

Chris immediately flew to One Island, the closest major island to Birth Island's coordinates, then released a Water-type Pokémon to Surf across the sea. He activated his "Max Repel" to avoid wild Pokémon encounters and continued heading south.

It would normally be an extremely long distance to cover, but traveling through the handheld device made the journey much faster.

Two minutes later, Chris arrived at the triangle-shaped island. He circled around its perimeter until he found what appeared to be an entrance.

Just as he approached the entrance, a system prompt appeared before his eyes.

[Enter the dungeon "Visitor from Universe" (disappears after first completion)? Yes/No]

[Dungeon recommended entry level: 95]

"I knew it!" Chris's eyes lit up with excitement.

Everything was unfolding exactly as he had predicted.

Visitor from Universe—this had to be referring to Deoxys.

Even if it somehow wasn't Deoxys, it would at least be a Legendary Pokémon, given the suggested entry level of 95.

Chris recalled that when he had captured Lugia, the recommended dungeon level had been 90.

Therefore, the Deoxys inside should be even stronger than the corrupted Lugia he had faced in terms of raw power.

"Enter!" Chris selected the option without hesitation. He had already come all this way; there was no point in turning back now.

Light and shadow flickered before his eyes, and when his vision cleared again, Chris found himself standing on a small island.

A warm breeze caressed his face, and sunlight shone brightly overhead. Before him stretched a lush forest that swayed gently in the wind.

The forest was eerily quiet, with no signs of any ordinary wild Pokémon inhabiting it.

Beyond the forest, right in the center of the island, there was a bare clearing. In the middle of that clearing, a light green crystal the size of a watermelon floated in mid-air, gleaming brilliantly under the sunlight.

As Chris stepped onto the bare ground, the light green crystal flashed with energy. Using the crystal as its center, an orange humanoid body materialized. It had two dark green and orange tentacles extending from its arms, and its appearance was completely unlike any Pokémon native to Earth.

Above its head, text gradually appeared, displaying its name and level.

[Deoxys LV90]

"A level 90 Deoxys," Chris murmured, his frown relaxing slightly.

This was actually good news.

If it had been a level 100 Pokémon like the Dark Mewtwo he had encountered before, he might have needed to resort to his absolute last-resort measures, even though Deoxys was generally considered inferior to Mewtwo in terms of overall strength.

Chris silently retrieved multiple Poké Balls from his belt.

Gengar, Zeraora, Gardevoir, Greninja, Lugia, and Zoroark all emerged in flashes of light.

Immediately, with brilliant multicolored illumination, Gengar and Gardevoir underwent Mega Evolution, while Greninja completed its Bond Phenomenon transformation.

The six Pokémon turned to face Deoxys in unison, their expressions intense and focused.

While Chris had been observing Deoxys, the DNA Pokémon had been studying Chris as well. Seeing that Chris had dispatched so many powerful Pokémon at once, all of them glaring with hostile intent, Deoxys quickly understood the human's intention.

The torso of its body suddenly contracted slightly, and Deoxys's appendages became sharper and more angular as its form shifted.

"Attack Forme?" Chris's lips curved into a slight smile. He had half-expected Deoxys to attempt an escape.

Instead, it was choosing to fight.

How brave of you!

That's right—Chris remembered that in one of the Pokémon movies, when Deoxys had first arrived on the planet, it had immediately engaged in battle with Rayquaza and had nearly been destroyed because of its aggressive nature.

"Gardevoir, use Future Sight!"

"Lugia, take to the sky and use Rain Dance!"

"Greninja, use Substitute!"

"Gengar, Demon God's Shadow!"

"Zoroark, Field of the Phantom King!"

"Zeraora, set up Electric Terrain!"

Chris issued six commands in rapid succession, and each of his Pokémon immediately responded to their instructions.

Mega Gardevoir extended both hands toward the sky, and its body began to levitate off the ground. Its black dress-like lower body fluttered dramatically in the wind as Psychic energy surged wildly around it. Because the target of its prediction was also a Psychic-type Pokémon, Gardevoir was using its full power for this technique.

Lugia soared into the sky, releasing a powerful roar that summoned dark clouds overhead.

Birth Island, which had been bathed in bright sunlight just moments ago, was suddenly covered by thick layers of storm clouds, and an overwhelming sense of pressure filled the air.

Since being captured by Chris, Lugia's level had increased rapidly, and it had now reached level 91.

If Chris weren't concerned about Lugia being unable to match the speed of Deoxys in its Speed Forme, he would have even considered having it face the DNA Pokémon in single combat.

Greninja straightened its posture and brought its hands together in a seal. Immediately, countless shadowy figures burst forth from its body—one, two, three, and then dozens more Greninja appearing in succession.

This wasn't the move Double Team, but rather Substitute, which meant that every single Greninja could deal actual damage.

This was a technique that Greninja had developed during its recent intensive training while working on perfecting its exclusive move. Rather than simply calling it Substitute, Chris preferred to refer to it by a name borrowed from an anime he remembered: "Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu."

"Keke~" Gengar, the rotund purple Ghost-type, grinned with a mischievous smile, and behind it, the shadowy forms of ten demon gods began to materialize.

The demon gods' bodies weren't entirely solid, but their massive wings that seemed to blot out the sun and their glowing red eyes were clearly visible. Even in this incomplete state, their presence radiated an overwhelming sense of menace.

Zoroark crouched low and raised its head toward the sky, resembling a wolf howling at the moon.

In an instant, the island that had been covered in swaying forest vegetation transformed completely. The scenery shifted to reveal the sacred altar at the Spear Pillar, the temple of Arceus itself.

Illusory forms of Palkia and Dialga in their Origin Formes burst into existence, their presence dominating the battlefield.

Zeraora had already risen into the air, its body crackling with electrical energy until it resembled a small sun. With Zeraora as the epicenter, endless rays of electric power spread outward in all directions. In the blink of an eye, several kilometers of ocean surrounding the island were shrouded within the influence of Electric Terrain.

Standing at the center of his six Pokémon, Chris locked eyes with Deoxys, electricity sparking around him from Zeraora's field.

A perfect net had been cast, and today, no matter what happened, he would capture this Legendary Pokémon!
