As they ventured deeper into the cave, even Chris could sense the powerful energy fluctuations radiating through the air.

The light emanating from the surrounding rough diamonds gradually transformed from dim to bright to absolutely dazzling, while their color shifted increasingly toward the pink hue associated with the Fairy type.

Finally, they reached the end of the diamond vein.

A massive pink diamond came into view, immediately filling Chris's entire field of vision.

The pink diamond floated in midair, rotating slowly and emitting a warm, gentle light reminiscent of the sun. It created a wonderful sensation of comfort and rejuvenation that washed over anyone who gazed upon it.

"The Heart Diamond?" Chris stared at the enormous pink diamond before him, momentarily transfixed.

"You know of it?" Diancie turned to look at Chris with surprise.

"I know a little about it," Chris replied. He had seen it in an anime from his previous life—the movie featuring Diancie had centered around this very object.

"So, would it be useful to you?" Diancie inquired further.

Chris recalled that Heart Diamonds served as tremendous energy sources capable of sustaining the "Diamond Kingdom" in the anime, forming the very foundation of the Carbink Kingdom's existence.

Chris could feel the powerful, surging energy emanating from it. He could clearly distinguish that it contained potent life force along with concentrated Rock-type and Fairy-type energy.

If he claimed it for himself, the Fairy-type energy could be absorbed by Gardevoir, while the Rock-type portion could be shared between Tyranitar and Aggron. This would undoubtedly elevate their strength by an entire level.

"It would be extremely useful," Chris said thoughtfully, rubbing his chin.

"Then I'll give it to you!" Diancie suddenly declared, speaking words that shocked Chris completely.

Chris raised his eyebrows in surprise. "Give it to me? Don't you need it?"

Diancie shook its head slightly. "This is a diamond I created myself. Although it's filled with powerful energy that makes my people more comfortable, it also attracts countless greedy pursuers."

"The Tyranitar we encountered earlier was actually targeting this diamond specifically."

"Before that Tyranitar, I fought several other powerful Pokémon, all because of this Heart Diamond."

"Therefore, I've decided to entrust this diamond to you!"

Chris observed Diancie, then glanced at the Carbink gathered around it, and began to understand the situation.

It appeared that the Carbink population in this world hadn't established a "kingdom," so their dependence on Heart Diamonds wasn't as absolute as depicted in the anime.

Furthermore, the Diancie standing before him seemed to have already mastered the ability to create Heart Diamonds.

Which meant... it was already capable of Mega Evolution?

"Thank you for your generous offer."

"However, I'd like to offer something in exchange," Chris said proactively.

Accepting gifts freely was fine, but only once or twice. When dealing with Legendary Pokémon, one had to think about sustainable relationships. Since Diancie possessed the ability to create Heart Diamonds, it would be far wiser to establish a positive relationship first, then develop a mutually beneficial long-term partnership.

"Would you be interested in relocating your people from this place? I can arrange for you to move to a region that's abundant in minerals and absolutely safe. If any of your people wish to partner with human trainers and grow stronger, I can help establish those connections as well," Chris proposed.

The mineral-rich region Chris had in mind was Green Valley Ranch, where his breeding facility was located.

Green Valley Ranch was surrounded by mountains and vast grasslands. Chris had previously sent geological teams to survey the mineral deposits in the area, and they had confirmed the veins were quite substantial. He had originally planned to create an exclusive habitat for Tyranitar and Aggron there.

Compared to the value of Diancie's Heart Diamond, the investment would be minimal. Moreover, if Diancie truly agreed to relocate, he would have access to an endless supply of Heart Diamonds in the future. He would profit tremendously!

Upon hearing this proposal, Diancie appeared somewhat uncertain.

A few decades ago, she would have rejected Chris's offer without hesitation. Back then, they had still been living in their ancestral homeland. But ever since they'd been forced to leave that Heart place, they had become like driftwood floating aimlessly down a river, never settling in one location for long.

Leaving this temporary residence for a place that was genuinely safe and offered abundant resources would certainly be an attractive option.

What impressed Diancie most, however, was Chris's suggestion that her people could partner with humans and become stronger.

As a powerful and knowledgeable Pokémon, Diancie had observed countless Trainers over the years, as well as countless Pokémon who had grown stronger through their Trainers' care and formed deep bonds with them.

Not all Carbink simply wanted to eat, sleep, and repeat that cycle endlessly.

Many Carbink harbored desires to venture out and experience the world, growing stronger so they could return to protect their community.

As the queen of the Carbink, Diancie had been contemplating this matter for quite some time.

"I would like to first see this place you describe—this world that's absolutely safe and rich in minerals," Diancie said decisively.

Chris had initially expected Diancie to refuse outright, so when he heard this response, he immediately realized the opportunity was real. He gestured enthusiastically.

"Of course! I can take you there right now to see it for yourself. It won't take long—half an hour at most should be sufficient."

Compared to traveling from the capital, the journey from the Western Region to Green Valley was considerably shorter.

However, before departing, Chris still needed to claim his reward first.

Chris stepped forward and placed his hand upon the Heart Diamond.

Immediately, warm and gentle power flooded through his entire body. Every cell expanded comfortably, like parched earth receiving rain after a prolonged drought.

This pleasant sensation, reminiscent of soaking in a hot spring, lasted only a moment, because the next second Chris stored the Heart Diamond in his Pokédex.

He activated the device and examined its properties directly.

Heart Diamond

Key Item

A diamond that can only be created by "Diancie" who has mastered the secret of life. It is formed from pure life force, Fairy-type power, and Rock-type power. Any Pokémon can absorb its energy to strengthen themselves.

When held as an item, it provides the following boosts: Rock-type move power increased by 212%, and Fairy-type move power increased by 212%.

Defense and Special Defense of Rock-type Pokémon are greatly improved, and physical recovery is accelerated.

The power of Fairy-type Pokémon's moves is increased by an additional 53%.

Although he had anticipated impressive results, Chris couldn't help but feel amazed.

This was truly worthy of being the massive energy source capable of sustaining the Diamond Kingdom. Its effects were comparable to the top-tier items associated with supreme deities such as Palkia and Dialga. For both Rock-type and Fairy-type Pokémon, the increases exceeded 200%.

However... why were there such specific decimal numbers? Why 212% and 53% instead of round figures?
