"How long does it take you to create a Heart Diamond of this size?"

On Lugia's back, Chris transported Diancie toward Green Valley Ranch.

"It must have taken more than ten years, and the creation process was intermittent, so I can't recall the exact timeframe," Diancie answered after thinking carefully for a moment.

"More than ten years..." Chris reflected on the fact that the Heart Diamond he'd seen in the cave was indeed several times larger than the one depicted in the anime movie.

The word "intermittent" indicated that this Heart Diamond hadn't been created all at once.

In that case...

"May I ask you to continue creating Heart Diamonds?"

Diancie agreed without hesitation. "If that place is truly safe, I will gladly continue production."

Given adequate safety, Diancie would naturally continue producing Heart Diamonds—not only for Chris, but also for the benefit of its own people.

Before long, they arrived at the expansive Green Valley Ranch.

Observing the entire ranch from high in the sky, Diancie could see all varieties of Pokémon running across the grasslands, dwelling within the forests, and resting beside the lakes. What struck Diancie as particularly remarkable was that humans walked along paths cutting through the ranch, yet they didn't disturb the Pokémon around them in the slightest.

Just from this aerial view, Diancie could sense the harmony and beauty of this place.

Chris raised his hand and snapped his fingers.

Gardevoir materialized behind Chris.

"Bring Aggron and Steelix here."

Gardevoir immediately extended its psychic power and contacted Aggron and Steelix, who were currently resting and training at the ranch, summoning them to their location.

Chris then took Diancie to the distant mountains to survey the mineral resources. He didn't want to make any false promises. As a Rock-type Pokémon, Diancie could perceive the abundant mineral deposits in the surrounding area far better than he could.

After a short while, Aggron and Steelix arrived.

The golden Aggron, whose entire body radiated brilliant golden light, approached with measured, thunderous steps. Steelix, composed of obsidian with flame patterns across its surface, emerged from beneath the soil. Its expression remained as straightforward and honest as ever, though its fierce appearance made it look rather intimidating.

Diancie gazed at these two exceptional and powerful Pokémon with astonishment, nodding repeatedly. Even if their strength didn't quite match the Tyranitar she had battled previously, they couldn't be far behind.

"Besides these two, many other powerful Pokémon reside here, so you needn't worry about safety."

As Chris spoke, brilliant streaks of light flew overhead.

Diancie couldn't help but look up.

They were Zapdos, Articuno, and Moltres. Since Chris had captured them, they had made Green Valley Ranch their home. Although they had lost their sacred treasures and could even be said to have lost their "divine status," spending their days in leisure seemed to suit them quite well.

Diancie confirmed the "safety" Chris had promised.

"This is perfect. I've decided to bring my people here to settle down."

"You've made an excellent choice," Chris immediately said, taking Diancie back to its previous home.

Afterward, Chris assisted Diancie with the relocation.

This proved somewhat troublesome. Not only did thousands of Carbink need to be transported from the Western Region to Green Valley Ranch, but they also had to relocate the nearby diamond veins that had formed because of their presence.

Chris had to capture several Onix through his Pokédex, and with Aggron's help, the task was finally completed by noon the following day.

Diancie and the entire Carbink population were now fully settled at Green Valley Ranch.

Since Chris would be taking an extended rest period, Wanda had returned from the capital to Green Valley Ranch to oversee operations. She would handle all matters concerning Diancie and the Carbink community going forward.

Additionally, before Chris departed, he returned the Heart Diamond he had just obtained to Diancie.

To be more precise, he didn't return it to Diancie but rather entrusted it to her safekeeping. She would continue using this Heart Diamond as a foundation to create even larger ones.

Chris had decided that after allowing Gardevoir to absorb the Fairy-type energy, he would use the remaining Heart Diamond as one of the "vessels" for creating a divine treasure for Tyranitar.

Unfortunately, there were far too few Legendary Pokémon among Rock-types.

Being able to use Diancie's Heart Diamond as a vessel made Chris feel that Tyranitar was quite fortunate.

Since it would serve as a vessel for a divine treasure, the higher the quality, the better.

Currently, his goal was to elevate all his main Pokémon to "King" status. With no major battles on the immediate horizon, he would simply reclaim this Diamond from Diancie just before the next significant conflict arose.

With matters concerning Diancie temporarily settled, Chris prepared to return to Dragon University.

Before departing, Chris had made arrangements with Professor Vladimir and scheduled an appointment with the school to enter the East Sea Dragon Nest the following day.

Although the East Sea Dragon Nest was the most important "resource location" that Dragon University relied upon, as the school's most distinguished graduate and the current Champion of China, Dragon University approved Chris's request in approximately ten seconds.

That evening, Chris and Professor Vladimir dined together in the school cafeteria, chatting as they ate.

"You've been making headlines again recently, young man," Vladimir said with a smile, handing his phone to Chris.

Chris glanced at the screen and discovered it was a video of his Tyranitar's King-level battle. He suddenly remembered that someone had been filming him secretly during the fight.

"It was just a victory over a relatively powerful Tyranitar. How much attention could that possibly generate?" Chris didn't take it seriously and reached for the green pepper beef stir-fry.

The cafeteria staff member serving them probably knew that today's diners were China's Champion and Dragon University's President, so the green pepper beef contained significantly more beef and fewer peppers.

"You claim that defeating a relatively powerful Tyranitar isn't significant, but conquering the Tyranitar King's throne is far from ordinary news. At the very least, trainers around the world who use Tyranitar as their ace are now watching you closely," Vladimir continued.

Chris shrugged, indicating he didn't care in the slightest.

When you already have many problems, a few more don't matter. After all, when he'd ascended to the rank of Master in the World Coronation Series, he'd already been scrutinized by trainers worldwide. How were trainers who used Tyranitar as their ace any different?

"Also, that Pokémon with the diamond on its head—that's the extremely rare Diancie, isn't it?"

"Yes, and I've already relocated it to Green Valley Ranch."

Vladimir's eyes gleamed with interest. "Why not bring it to the laboratory for research?"

Legendary Pokémon often possessed unique qualities that ordinary Pokémon lacked, much like how they'd studied Deoxys to understand how to improve self-healing efficiency.

Once such research succeeded, it could benefit both ordinary people and Pokémon alike.
