Chapter 349 - Chapter 349: The Chaotic Situation, the Appearance of Wu Protector

Chapter 349: The Chaotic Situation, the Appearance of Wu Protector

The sudden turn of events in the battlefield immediately caught everyone's attention. No one expected that the Golden Crow Sect Leader and the Poison Sect Leader, both invited by the three Mulan Elders, would suddenly fall into infighting. The latter had even sneak-attacked and gravely injured the former!

The abrupt change left everyone stunned and unable to react. At the same time, Yan Luotian (Golden Crow Sect Leader) was filled with confusion as he suppressed the injury in his chest, unable to stop himself from asking.

The three Mulan Elders quickly flew over, positioning themselves between the Poison Mistress and Yan Luotian, their expressions deeply serious. The Lion-headed Elder's face shifted, and he quickly spoke to mediate:

"Poison Sect Leader, we formed an alliance between our three factions. Why, then, did you suddenly attack Sect Leader Yan and seriously wound him? Isn't this a betrayal of trust? If you are unhappy with the division of benefits, we could have discussed it openly. There was no need for such a dishonorable ambush!"

The Poison Mistress's sudden attack shocked everyone present, leaving the Mulan Elders confused as they guessed that her attack might have been driven by dissatisfaction over how much benefit Golden Crow Sect was gaining in the deal.

However, to both Yan Luotian's furious questions and the Mulan Elders' attempts to reconcile, the Poison Mistress calmly withdrew her slender hand, her face showing an indifferent and vague expression. Her gray-violet eyes were filled with coldness, clearly uninterested in providing an explanation.

Seeing this, both Yan Luotian and the Mulan Elders were stunned and then became visibly displeased. The Poison Mistress, known as the Sky Poison Lady, had risen to prominence in the Northwestern Continent over the past two years. Her immense strength and ruthless methods had earned her a reputation that surpassed that of old factions like Mulan Valley and Golden Crow Sect.

Faced with her sudden betrayal, both the Mulan Elders and Yan Luotian felt an overwhelming sense of frustration but dared not act out in anger. Especially Yan Luotian, who had been critically injured by her strike, leaving him weak and his aura greatly diminished.

What frightened him even more was the terrifying, ghostly green poisonous thunder embedded in the palm mark on his chest. This toxic lightning was wreaking havoc inside his body. Even though he was a Dou Zong (Dou Ancestor) expert, he was temporarily unable to expel the poison that was spreading throughout his body.

"Her palm strike was poisoned!" Yan Luotian's face twisted in pain as he gritted his teeth and desperately tried to use his Dou Qi to suppress the destructive poison within him.

Upon hearing this, the Mulan Elders' faces darkened. Although they couldn't sense what was happening inside Yan Luotian's body, it was clear from his state that he was no longer able to fight effectively.

Before the battle had even truly started, one of their Dou Zong-level fighters had turned traitor, and the other had been rendered useless. The Mulan Elders all felt a sinking feeling in their hearts.

Realizing what had just happened, they all turned their gazes toward the silver-eyed young man standing not far away.

Noticing the change in their expressions, Mo Yu smirked coldly. With a slight flap of his wings, he flew to stand beside the white-haired woman.

Looking at her somewhat familiar demeanor, Mo Yu couldn't help but recall the days they spent together training in the Magic Beast Mountain Range. He smiled warmly.

"Xiao Yixian (Little Doctor Immortal), it's been a long time. You've changed quite a bit."

Hearing Mo Yu's voice and the familiar name, the white-haired woman trembled slightly. Her gray-violet eyes flickered, and then she gently removed the veil from her face, revealing a delicate, beautiful appearance.

Looking at the figure that had appeared countless times in her dreams, Xiao Yixian smiled softly, a rare sight. "Mo Yu, it's been a long time. You've changed a lot too."

Back in their younger days, when Xiao Yixian and Mo Yu first met, they were just teenagers beginning their journeys. But now, after only a few years, both had undergone drastic transformations in terms of strength and status.

As Xiao Yixian looked into Mo Yu's mysterious, silver eyes, she couldn't help but feel curious about what experiences he had gone through to reach this point.

While the two exchanged pleasantries, the crowd was in an uproar.

Both the Jia Ma Empire Alliance and the Mulan Valley faction were stunned as they stared at the handsome man and beautiful woman in the sky, unable to believe their eyes. Mo Yu actually knew the Sky Poison Lady, and it seemed they had quite a close relationship!

Yan Luotian and the Mulan Elders were in disbelief, exclaiming, "How is this possible?! How could the Sky Poison Lady know that brat Mo Yu?"

As one of the rising powers of the Cloud Empire, many believed that the Sky Poison Lady was likely the disciple of some hidden expert, allowing her to unify the Cloud Empire in just a few years. While people had speculated about her origins, no one had ever linked her to the Jia Ma Empire or guessed that she knew Mo Yu!

What they didn't know was that years ago, in a small town in the Magic Beast Mountain Range, two future powerhouses had set out on their journeys.

Yan Luotian finally understood the connection, but there was no relief in his heart—only deep regret.

"Damn it! If I had known the Sky Poison Lady was on the Jia Ma Empire's side, I would never have gotten involved in this mess!"

Though he had heard of her reputation before, it wasn't until he took her attack that he fully understood just how terrifying the Sky Poison Lady truly was. The toxic mark on his chest made Yan Luotian feel as though if he didn't find a way to resolve it soon, he, the strongest person in the Falling Goose Empire and leader of the Golden Crow Sect, might actually perish here.

"Who would've thought that Brother Mo would know the Poison Sect Leader. Truly unexpected," Hai Bodong, on the Jia Ma Empire side, relaxed his tense grip and let out a relieved breath.

Hearing this, Jia Xingtian and the others also sighed in relief, nodding as they looked up at Mo Yu and Xiao Yixian in the sky. A moment ago, Xiao Yixian's Corrosive Poison Hand had filled them with a profound sense of helplessness. Even Yun Shan had never given them such a strong feeling of impending death.

Just as they were wondering if Mo Yu could withstand her attacks, the situation took an unexpected turn. The Poison Sect Leader had turned around and gravely injured Yan Luotian instead.

The rapidly changing circumstances left everyone puzzled. But seeing Mo Yu and Xiao Yixian chatting, they realized that the Mulan Elders had invited a close friend of Mo Yu's, essentially sabotaging their own efforts.

At the wedding platform, Yun Yun had already broken free of Yun Shan's binding, and the Yunlan Sect disciples guarding her had been knocked unconscious. Standing beside her was a man in a black robe—the renowned alchemist of the Jia Ma Empire, Gu He.

"Thank you, Gu He," Yun Yun said, her voice soft as she expressed her gratitude.

"No need for thanks. I did what I had to do," Gu He replied with a slight shake of his head. He paused for a moment before smiling bitterly. "Besides, you should be thanking Mo Yu. If he hadn't caused this ruckus, I wouldn't have been able to stop this marriage between Yunlan Sect and Mulan Valley."

When Gu He had seen Mo Yu lead his army to besiege Yunlan Mountain, he had known that he had lost completely. Whether it was Yun Yun's affections or their differences in strength, Gu He had been utterly defeated by the young Mo Yu.

Yun Yun opened her mouth, trying to say something, but Gu He raised his hand, cutting her off. "There's no need to say anything, Yun Yun. I respect your choice."

He glanced toward Mo Yu in the sky and said, "And I have made my own choice as well. Since I've made a promise to him, I will see it through."

"Yun Yun, Mo Yu is a good choice. I wish you both happiness. But keep in mind, this young man seems to attract a lot of butterflies. You might want to keep an eye on him, especially since you're not even his official wife yet."

After saying this, Gu He glanced playfully at Xiao Yixian, then turned and left, seemingly content that he had fulfilled his final duty by rescuing Yun Yun.

Watching Gu He's departing figure, Yun Yun felt a moment of sadness and sighed softly. She had long been aware of Gu He's feelings for her, but her heart had always been focused on cultivation, not romantic entanglements.

That is, until the young man from the Magic Beast Mountain Range had unexpectedly entered her life, making her experience emotions she had never felt before…

Looking up at the handsome youth in the sky, Yun Yun couldn't take her eyes off him. The once naive boy she had met three years ago was now a mature and powerful man.

However, when her gaze fell upon Xiao Yixian standing beside Mo Yu, Gu He's earlier warning echoed in her mind, causing her to frown slightly and whisper to herself, "What is the relationship between this Poison Sect Leader and Mo Yu?"

Back in the sky, after exchanging a few more words with Xiao Yixian, Mo Yu noticed the many gazes directed at them.

"Haha, let's continue this chat after we take care of business here," Mo Yu said with a chuckle, patting his head.

"Indeed. I was only curious about what the Mulan Elders had planned. I didn't expect to run into you here. It seems fate is not on their side," Xiao Yixian replied with a smile.

In front of the world, the Poison Mistress was known for being cold and ruthless. But in front of Mo Yu, she was still the innocent, carefree girl from before.

Seeing her like this, Mo Yu couldn't help but feel proud. It seemed he had done better than the original story's protagonist, Xiao Yan.

In the original story, even though Xiao Yan recognized Xiao Yixian, the years of torment from her constitution, the Woeful Poison Body, had made her heart cold and distant. Xiao Yan's efforts to rekindle their bond initially failed.

Only after prolonged effort, combined with his ability to help cure her Woeful Poison Body, was Xiao Yan able to bring her back from the darkness.

However, in Mo Yu's case, by giving Xiao Yixian the Dark Yin Poison Thunder years earlier, her strength had progressed faster than in the original story. In return, her trust and gratitude toward Mo Yu had grown immensely.

As Mo Yu and Xiao Yixian's conversation continued, the Mulan Elders and Yan Luotian's expressions turned increasingly grim.

What had originally been a three-against-one situation, now seemed like a two-on-two stalemate. Worse still, with Yan Luotian gravely injured, the advantage had shifted completely in Mo Yu's favor.

"Hehe, Mulan Elders, I'll return your earlier words to you. If you're smart, surrender now, and I might let you die a little more peacefully," Mo Yu said with a playful smile.

The Mulan Elders' faces darkened, their eyes burning with anger.

But just as Mo Yu seemed to have gained the upper hand, a major change occurred on Xiao Yan's side of the battlefield, drawing everyone's attention.

"Wu Protector, show yourself!"

Facing Yao Lao's overwhelming assault, Yun Shan had reached his limit and called out for his final trump card.

As his voice echoed, a massive cloud of black fog suddenly surged out from the Yunlan Sect's grand hall below, quickly coalescing in the sky to form a large, ominous dark mass.

Seeing this black fog, Mo Yu's face stiffened slightly as a thought crossed his mind.

"What is that?"

As the black fog appeared in the sky, the Yunlan Sect disciples below began to panic. Their eyes were filled with fear and confusion, wondering how such a strange entity had remained hidden within their sect without their knowledge.

On the wedding platform, Yun Yun stared at the dark fog, her beautiful face filled with shock. An uneasy feeling gnawed at her as her thoughts raced.

The unexpected development also made Hai Bodong and the others, who had felt a sense of relief earlier, grow anxious once again. They could sense that the black fog was something extraordinary. Worse still, it was clearly on Yun Shan's side.

The advantage they had gained from Xiao Yixian's defection was now at risk of being completely neutralized.

"What's going on? Another strong opponent? Who is this guy?" Jia Xingtian grumbled after fending off another Yunlan Sect Dou Huang expert. The chaotic arrival of unexpected powerhouses left the aging ruler feeling frustrated and overwhelmed.

"I don't know," Hai Bodong replied, shaking his head. He launched a fierce palm strike, forcing back another Dou Huang expert that had been entangling him. "But no matter what, the Xiao family still has a good chance of winning. Even if Xiao Yan fails, once Brother Mo is free, the outcome of this battle will still be uncertain. All we need to do is take care of the Yunlan Sect and Mulan Valley experts in front of us."

"Agreed," Jia Xingtian, Fa Ma, and the others nodded in agreement. With the battle at such a critical juncture, they couldn't afford to hold back any longer. They unleashed their full strength, intensifying the chaos on the battlefield.

Amidst the turmoil, the black fog ignored everyone's thoughts and concerns. It swirled ominously, and a sinister, eerie laugh echoed out from within, chilling the air.

"Hehehe, what a lively scene. I wonder how many delicious souls I can harvest today..."
