A few hours later…
In the hallways Nylah and Hattie stood around, Hattie peaking her head around a corner.
"I still don't understand what we're waiting for. I mean we've been waiting here for hours," Nylah whinged, giving a light sigh.
Hattie looked at Nylah, her face swirling in annoyance,
"Must you complain about everything," She snapped, tightening her jaw.
"Forgive me Lady Hattie, it's just…"
"It's just nothing," Hattie snarked, interrupting her, "You act like I don't know what I'm doing. If anything it's you who's clueless and lazy. I always have to come up with plans by myself and if you can't even be patient and listen then what good are you?"
Nylah's eyes widened, shame hitting the pit of her stomach, she hung her head, her mind moving a million miles a minute.
'Lady Hattie has never said such harsh words to me before… Why is she treating me this way? Could it be stress… I just don't understand.'
