Based on the location she sent, we met up right in front of the station. We grabbed breakfast at a fast food place, picked up a box of creampuffs, and got ourselves some bubble tea.
As we sat down with our snacks, I looked over at her and asked, "So, what are we gonna do today?"
She pulled out two tickets from her pocket, a small smile playing on her lips. "I wanted to have a change of scenery a bit."
I blinked, confused. "Why do we need a ticket?"
She avoided my gaze, saying nothing for a moment.
I pressed again, "Where are we going?"
"Just follow me," she said, stepping onto the train without another word.
After we settled into our seats, I turned to her with a mix of curiosity and concern. "Lindsey, is there something wrong? Why call me out here all of a sudden? Where are you taking me?" I bombarded her with questions, reaching across the table to grab the takeout from her. We were sitting across from each other, the window ajar, letting in the cool breeze.
