It's finally time for the last match, the match between both of Fairy Tail's teams. Alex and Gajeel vs Laxus and Natsu, a clash between Guild Mates that excites people.
Since his return after being crystalized for 6 years, Alex is still undefeated in the Guild. He only never fought Gildarts because that old man was very rarely home and always worked far away.
That's why all of Fairy Tail Mages know that Laxus's and Natsu's chance to win is low. But they still have hope because Alex should be tired after participating in the Pandemonium event against a thousand monsters.
Both Laxus and Natsu also want to challenge Alex in this tournament because for them, he is still the strongest opponent they need to surpass.
As soon as the match starts, Gajeel shoots his Iron Dragon Roar toward Natsu and Laxus. So Natsu counters it using his Fire Dragon Roar.
Both Dragon Roars destroy each other because their power is equal.
Gajeel and Natsu charge toward each other, but then suddenly, a strong lightning strikes Gajeel from the sky.
Laxus sends that attack and it instantly makes Gajeel fall on his face. Lightning is his weakness, after all, because it can run very easily on his metal body.
To make it worse, Laxus flashes toward him and electrocutes him with more lightning, knocking him out very quickly.
Alex can only sigh seeing it. He hasn't made a move because Gajeel told him to stay back so Alex won't take the spotlight from him, but it doesn't even take a minute for Gajeel to lose.
"Sigh, well, I knew this would happen when your opponent is Laxus."
Gajeel's Magic compatibility with Laxus's Magic is just so bad, after all, so this is not surprising.
Though Alex didn't expect Laxus to take out Gajeel this fast.
Well, he needs to, because Alex is there. Laxus can't afford to waste too much energy on Gajeel when Alex is in the same arena.
He knows he can't take Alex alone too, that's why he can't let Natsu waste too much energy fighting Gajeel, so he decided to take Gajeel out quickly.
Right after defeating Gajeel, Laxus shoots a lightning bolt at Alex, but it's dodged.
Alex dodges it without even transforming. Thanks to his Rinne-Sharingan, he can see the lightning bolt moving at a slower speed.
He only transforms after dodging that. Alex transforms into his Humanoid Chomei form which he very rarely uses against Laxus and Natsu.
With a swing of his left claws, Alex sends 5 wind blades toward Laxus, forcing him to get away from Gajeel.
Then Alex picks Gajeel up and throws him to Elfman on the booth.
"Alright, show me what you got." Alex smirks while taunting Laxus and Natsu.
Natsu grins before quickly charges toward Alex with fire covering his hands and feet while Laxus immediately activates his Dragon Force.
Right before reaching Alex, Natsu throws a strong punch that releases a big fire blast, but Alex counters it with his own wind punch that causes a horizontal tornado.
The tornado absorbs the fire, making it into a big fire tornado. But because of the wind's direction, the fire tornado engulfs Natsu instead.
It's a good thing that Natsu is immune to the fire or he would get burnt by the powerful wind tornado that actually chars the ground behind him.
Still, the strong wind pushes him back quite far.
While Alex is still shooting the wind tornado, Laxus appears beside him, fully cladded with powerful yellow lightning.
Laxus sends a very powerful lightning-enhanced punch at Alex's face from the right. But it gets blocked by Alex's free left hand.
His punch pushes Alex away, making Alex slide on the floor to the left, but Alex is still standing.
So Laxus chases Alex and throws barrages of lightning punch that now gets blocked by Alex properly without being pushed back.
Natsu approaches and swings his right hand up from below when he gets closer to Alex, creating a powerful fire wall.
Alex sees it and parries Laxus's punch as he slides forward to move behind Laxus to dodge that fire wing attack. He grabs Laxus's shirt from behind and throws Laxus towards Natsu.
Laxus hits Natsu and both of them roll on the floor until they crash onto the arena wall.
"Is this all you got after your months of secret training?" Alex smirks while remembering when everyone said that they would train secretly to defeat him in the tournament a few months ago.
Laxus and Natsu click their tongues before getting up again. They move away from each other to pin Alex from both sides. Then they take deep breaths before shooting their strongest Dragon Roars.
A Fire Dragon Roar is coming from his left while a Lightning Dragon Roar is coming from his right. Yet Alex doesn't have any intention to dodge them and just stands on his spot.
Alex clasps his palms as the spells are coming. The lightning and fire blasts that are very big and will surely engulf him if he does nothing.
"Wind Tunnel!"
A strong wind starts to form around Alex. It rotates very strongly and goes up to the sky, similar to a tornado, but it looks more like a big pipe because its size is the same from up to bottom.
The fire and lightning hit the rotating wind tunnel and got pulled into it. They swirl along with the wind tunnel and go up to the sky before dispersing without touching Alex at all.
Alex smiles in satisfaction because he's sure it is very flashy and looks awesome to the audience. He could have just dodged those attacks with his speed, but he chose to defend using that spell just because he wanted to give the audience a good show.
For Alex, a tournament like this isn't really a place to show everything he has, but a way to entertain people and have fun.
Showing all he has to the public is a stupid thing in his opinion because then all of his abilities will be exposed and his future enemies will know them.
He thinks that every participant should still hide their trump cards in this kind of competition even if they lose. That's also what he told his Guild Mates and strictly ordered to his teammates.
Anyway, Laxus and Natsu continue their attacks. They move back and forth to attack from different ranges, but all of their attacks are destroyed by Alex.
People can't even say that their attacks are weak because of the strong impacts caused by their attacks.
The Mages know even better that Laxus's and Natsu's attacks are very powerful because they can feel the power behind every spell.
The damages they cause on the arena ground also show how strong their attacks are.
This arena ground has been reinforced even further by Alex, yet each of Laxus's and Natsu's attacks is capable of breaking a big part of it.
Yet, none of those attacks can break through Alex's defense. He can block all of them with just his palms.
Alex just stays defensive from the beginning. But after 15 minutes, he finally makes an attack.
When Natsu attacks him with a fire roundhouse kick, Alex decides to catch it. He catches Natsu's leg and throws Natsu to Laxus who sends a powerful lightning punch from the left.
Laxus's lightning punch ends up hitting Natsu on the back, sending him flying and crashing onto the wall.
The punch is strong enough to knock Natsu out, leaving only Laxus to fight Alex.
"That's a good punch." Alex smiles while nodding.
"You-....." Laxus doesn't even know what to say.
But he is being careless because of that unexpected move. So he doesn't realize a fast and strong punch that Alex throws at his stomach, which sends him flying onto the wall on the other side.
This punch is stronger than Laxus's punch, but Laxus could withstand it by transforming his body into lightning before hitting the wall to reduce the impact.
He almost gets knocked out like Natsu, which will end this battle immediately.
Laxus then pushes himself more and starts attacking Alex at an even faster speed. He is so fast that he looks like flashes of yellow lightning striking Alex from all sides.
Incredibly, Alex can keep up with his incredible speed. Alex barely moves from his spot. He stays in his position while blocking, dodging, or parrying Laxus's attacks.
It lasts for a while until Alex dodges Laxus's punch and sends a very strong punch at Laxus's stomach again.
The punch itself is really strong, but Laxus's speed and momentum make the impact even stronger.
Laxus isn't thrown back and only gets stopped in front of Alex. Then when Alex pulls his fist, Laxus falls on his knees before falling on his face unconsciously.
Without getting hit even once, Alex defeats both Laxus and Natsu alone.
