That night, it started to rain.

The sound of the rain outside, combined with the warmth of the burning fireplace, should have made the room feel comfortable, but Mia sat on the sofa with her head propped up, looking troubled.

Just now, Ethan had sent her a message.

She didn't know what William had discussed with Ethan earlier. Still, Ethan actually said to her in the message—Mia, I'm no match for him... I wish you happiness.

Right after talking to William, Ethan left without even giving her a chance to say a word to him.

Afterward, William returned to the house, and just as he did, he received a call, probably about business. He stayed in the villa's study, handling business matters with a stern expression on the phone.

Her mind was still in chaos...

Thinking about William's kiss earlier, she felt a headache.

Aunt Grace approached her as she was worrying. "Miss."

"Mm?" she responded absentmindedly.

"Dinner is ready..."

"Oh..."
