Clear, cold facts ran through the king's mind. He now wanted to rescue his beloved wife, but currently he had no means of negotiation.
He simply could not think of anything to give this man, to men who are unknown or simply have no attachments, are the most unpredictable.
When facing a being that are unknown, saying the wrong thing might end with you giving up a vital piece of information that could have been leveraged.
In such cases, ambiguity is the best approach. The reason? Simply put, one can probe the unknown being with harmless inquiries.
If that being slips up, they will indefinitely reveal some information that could be used in future negotiations.
That is the art of the trade, as an ancient king and someone who has negotiated with countless gods in the past, Osiris is confident in this ability of his.
But that is where the good news stops. From what he can observe, though, the monster in human form showed respect for the customs of his people.
He could discern no wants, desires or alike. The only thing that he gathered is that this 'Thing' loves to fight, at a frightening level that he frankly did not even want to imagine.
To Osiris the mere idea of anyone fighting two gods of death is already sheer nonsense. Add on top of that nonsense with both beings standing at the highly coveted level of a primordial god and fighting in hell?
That is simply crazy! The fact that Anubis would be greatly strengthened in his own temple, while Thanatos would also gain small amounts of strength as time passes on should result in his death.
As a complete contrarian, he fought for more than a week, he radiated his destructive power nonstop. Then, when he arrived in an attempt to investigate the cause of the chaos, he was shocked to see two feared gods subdued simultaneously.
That level of strength was simply insane, Osiris could only imagine reaching such power after training since he was conceived.
And even then, he might not even have enough power to match this monster in a direct clash.
If he attacked from another angle, it would be to use worldly possessions, though the rags the man is wearing conveyed that he most likely cared nothing for them.
Women? He literally had Aphrodite the goddess of beauty, following him and even playing with him. Even now it seems as though the trio are a happy family.
What Osiris did not know is that only the second point is true, Marco had his loving wives and that was enough for him.
But wealth? The man is a complete and utter cheapskate. If he were to be serious, the man would not mind burning literally anyone and anything for a quick buck.
It is a shame that the king of the underworld did not know such vital information on the man.
