Chapter 59 - Demon eyes

Third-person POV

Zephyra stepped into Draven's office, her arms crossed and her jaw tight with frustration. Her eyes flicked from Astraea to Draven and back again, and her mind was still spinning from everything that had happened.

"Are you sure you were with Astraea all day?" she asked, turning to Draven again. Her tone wasn't aggressive, but it was heavy with disbelief.

Draven, seated lazily behind his desk, barely spared her a full glance before lifting a brow and replying with a bored tone, "Didn't you hear her the first time? We were together all day, or do you think we rehearsed it just to mess with you?"

Astraea, standing near the window with her arms folded, gave Zephyra a pointed look. "I told you, he's been with me since morning, and we only just got back. Now, is there something else you want to say? Because honestly, you're acting like you didn't just see someone impersonating me. You're acting like you saw more than that."
