"This will be your office and the room next is your classroom."
Standing in a fairly sized office, Felix looked at the wooden desk and bookcases. The room was fairly empty, but held quite a few bookcases that one could almost mistake it as a library. Just without any books for the moment, but that should soon be fixed.
Next to Felix stood Dumbledore. He had offered to show him the new office while Slughorn and McGonagall showed Angel and John their offices and classrooms. As for using the previous Divination Professor classroom, Felix wasn't fond of using a ladder to go up and down to enter or exit.
"Quite a few bookshelves?" Felix commented.
"I had the elves prepare extra for you. I figured you would want some to store your books and trinkets you made over the years." Dumbledore explained.
"So I couldn't help but notice that the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom was fairly empty." Felix said. "I thought the curse was broken after Tom died."
"It is, but Mr. Periwinkle is quite old. After serving for nearly seven years, he felt his mind wasn't up to par anymore and asked to retire. It was a short time, but he said he loved every moment of it." Dumbledore said softly.
"Is that so? It makes me curious on who you hired to replace him." Felix said as he sat down his suitcase on the desk.
With a couple clicks, Felix opened up the suitcase and reached inside. From inside, he began to pull out a few bits and bobs. From the Idol of Fertility, The Ruyi Bang, Poseidon Trident, Magic Rifle, and a couple interesting artifacts he and his friends tracked down over the years. His favorite though is the Vampire Killer that used to belong to the Belmont Clan.
It was during this hunt for the Whip that he proposed when the castle crumbled to the ground. Angel tends to say it wasn't very romantic, but very memorable. Afterall, who can say they have a ring tossed at them asking with a chimera and hydra battling in a crumbling castle behind them.
There are many such events like almost being eaten by a kraken and megalodon when fetching the Poseidon Trident at the bottom of the ocean. Journeying to the Center of the Earth where dinosaurs still roamed, or even The Mysterious Island.
Then he pulled out a large blue crystal skull that didn't look quite human. The back of the head was elongated like normally seen in alien movies. Though upon hearing Dumbledore say who will be the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, he nearly dropped it.
"Gilderoy Lockhart."
"You're kidding me." Felix said, confused.
He looked at the artifacts he prepared to arrange and wondered if he should put them back inside. The thought of telling Angel and John to do the same as they also planned to display some artifacts they picked up over the years. Since he didn't keep them all for himself, though he did keep most of the weapons.
Both Angel and John said since most of the weapon artifacts were dangerous, it would be better if he held them. Something about not worrying about them being used wrongly and already holding more dangerous weapons he made himself. So he could only shake his head as he just shrugged at this weird view of theirs.
"Is there a problem?" Dumbledore smiled.
"You do know he can't cast magic beside the memory charm right? A cornish pixie will pick him up and hang him from the chandelier if it has a chance." Felix spread his arms. "Those adventures he writes about come from others, he even tried to steal ours. Yet after beating him up and handing him over, he managed to weasel himself out of trouble."
"Yeah, but he can offer the students a lesson that they will care for life. I also hope this will expose him as a fraud." Dumbledore explained as he examined the crystal skull. "What an interesting skull."
"What lesson can he teach the students? How to be a professional liar and fraud." Felix grumbled.
"A lesson about fame and how it can corrupt. He illustrates the dangers of being so consumed by fame that it leads to self-deception, intellectual laziness, and dishonesty." Dumbledore explained.
"He has been lazy since the first week of school." Felix commented.
"Yes, I do recall his grades for learning were fairly average, but was very ambitious. Especially after you left saying he was almost done with creating the Philosopher's Stone, joining a professional quidditch team and aiming to become the Minister of Magic." Dumbledore held his beard. "I have yet to hear any of those coming remotely true."
Felix rolled his eyes as he knew Dumbledore was just playing around now. So he dropped the topic and decided to just create some replicas to display. As cool as it would be to display the real thing, he didn't want Lockhart attempting to swipe it himself or using students to do it.
"What is this blade?" Dumbledore asked.
Before Dumbledore was a black and white sword where the black looks like lightning trapped in the blade. Memories of a fight against an army of demons resurfaced in his mind while on another trip inside China. There one of their wizards opened up a dimension gate where demons came through and he took this blade from the Demon King.
"It is called the Demon King's Longsword. When swung a storm of lightning will cover an area. It is pretty cool actually." Felix explained.
