Chapter 375 - 375: The Fall of the Twilight Lich

Although the group couldn't see the Twilight Lich's health bar, they could feel its momentum slowly recovering whenever it absorbed life.

Raising their guns, they immediately opened fire, dense bullets shredding all the zombies into pieces.

The Twilight Lich's method of restoring health was cut off.

It could only swing its staff again, summoning magic orbs to attack them.

But now, without its shields, it was clear the Twilight Lich had entered a slow-death phase.

The trickiest part about dealing with this guy had always been his shields.

Without removing them, everything else was useless.

But once the shields were gone…

Faced with the team's covering firepower, the Twilight Lich had only one outcome: death.

Back-to-back, the group didn't move at all. Wherever it stirred, they simply swept a magazine of bullets first, then dealt with it.

The Twilight Lich's vitality poured out like an unblocked flood.

In the blink of an eye, it was forced into its third phase.

Switching weapons, it put down the staff and picked up its golden sword.

Everyone couldn't help but laugh.

If it had stayed at range, kiting them with teleportation, it would've been troublesome.

After all, teleporting made it difficult to hit.

But now, wielding the golden sword, it couldn't teleport—making it a sitting duck.

Almost instantly, before the Twilight Lich could even act, a dozen guns unleashed a frenzy of fire.

No matter how strong it was, without shields, it couldn't withstand this barrage of firearms.

After two or three tense seconds, the Twilight Lich collapsed, dissolving into blue smoke.

The vast tower top finally fell silent.

Tartaglia wiped his machine gun with a cheerful grin.

"This guy wasn't that strong! Taking it down was even easier than dealing with the Naga."

Ryen rolled his eyes.

"You don't need to say that for a group attack, do you?"

"If you tried to solo it, would you survive being kited to death?"

Tartaglia chuckled awkwardly, saying no more.

Ganyu walked over to the glass, waving to Cloud Retainer, who had been observing from the side.

Soon, Cloud Retainer arrived with Klee and the others.

With a light laugh, Cloud Retainer teased,

"That was fast… Understanding its attack patterns makes everything much easier."

Ryen waved his hand, smiling.

"Now let's see what we got!"

This was what everyone was really interested in.

The Twilight Lich's drops were far more abundant than the Naga's.

There was a pile of bones and Ender pearls, which everyone quickly ignored.

A Twilight Lich's head floated above the ground.

A golden sword lay beside it.

These weren't worth much attention.

The true treasure was the strange staff lying horizontally on the ground.

The staff's body was made of bone, and at its top sat a peculiar gem, resembling an Ender Eye.

Hu Tao crouched down, peering curiously.

"What kind of staff is this, Ryen?"

"Zombie Staff."

Ryen answered casually, showing no interest in picking it up.

Among the Four Great Artifacts, the Zombie Staff was, in Ryen's mind, the least impressive.

Especially now that he had the Thunderous Staff and had also picked up the spellbook to summon the Ice Guard Legion.

The Zombie Staff held almost no attraction.

Hearing this, the others shook their heads a little regretfully.

"It would've been better if it were the Shield Staff or the Dusk Staff…"

Lumine mumbled.

Ryen smiled lightly and said softly,

"It's not that bad."

"The Zombie Staff can summon only one zombie."

"But don't underestimate this zombie—it comes with Strength Enchantment and has very high health."

"The maximum summoning range in this world is twenty meters. In Teyvat, it would probably be even further, making it a summoning spell that can be placed precisely beside enemies."

"Also, this zombie isn't afraid of sunlight. As long as you reapply the Strength Enchantment before it wears off, it will revive at full health and keep attacking."

"This staff is still quite useful. Plus, obtaining it unlocks the crafting recipe for the Zombie Staff."

"Two bones and a piece of rotten flesh are enough to craft one."

"These materials are trivial for us."

"If you want, you could assemble a fearless army of zombies in no time."

Hearing this, everyone began to reconsider the staff.

Although it seemed weak and didn't quite compare to the Vampiric Staff among the Four Artifacts, on its own, it was just a strong helper.

But imagine having thousands of Zombie Staffs…

That would be a truly formidable force.

Whether they'd actually arm that many Zombie Staffs, however, hadn't been decided.

Zombies were fine in this world, but in Teyvat, they could easily cause problems.

"By the way, since the Zombie Staff can be crafted, what about the Vampiric Staff?"

Lumine asked curiously.

Although the Zombie Staff was good, she preferred the Vampiric Staff and Shield Staff.

One offensive, one defensive—unmatched in the world.

With enough staffs, she'd even dare to challenge the rules of Teyvat alone.

"Not yet. We need to obtain the Vampiric Staff from the Twilight Lich to unlock its crafting recipe."

Ryen shook his head.

"Besides, even if we could craft it, I wouldn't mass-produce it. The life-draining effect of the Vampiric Staff can easily awaken latent malice in humans.

Mass production would likely cause major unrest."

Everyone nodded in agreement, especially Albedo.

Even he had nearly been overwhelmed by the pleasure of the Vampiric Staff absorbing his life force; better not test ordinary people's mental fortitude.

"I'll keep the Zombie Staff."

Ryen tossed it casually into his backpack.

"If you want one, I can craft one for you later. It won't break, and rotten flesh can restore its durability."
