Chapter 376 - 376: The Peacock Feather Fan of the Lich Tower

"A weapon good enough to handle ordinary troubles is sufficient for now."

Everyone nodded, taking their time.

After all, the Zombie Staff's crafting recipe had already been unlocked—they could craft it anytime they wanted.

Ryen turned to Albedo and said softly,

"Check that notebook. A new chapter should have opened."

Hearing this, Albedo took out his enchanted book. Sure enough, the next page was now accessible.

After a moment of thought, Albedo murmured,

"Ordinary flames cannot stop an adventurer like me. I've walked through seas of fire and even swum in oceans of molten lava."

"This burning air is interesting, but ultimately no match for me."

"What finally blocked my progress was another protective spell—this time, it must be guarding a creature powerful enough to dominate the flaming marsh."

"If my assumption—that these protective spells work in very similar ways—is correct," he continued,

"then nearby, we should be able to locate a powerful creature sustaining the spell's magic."

"The flaming marsh is surrounded by several wetlands, which conceal a labyrinth inhabited by minotaurs."

Albedo pondered for a moment and said softly,

"It seems these protective spells have very special effects. We need to acquire that thing if possible."

"I can sense it. That thing might provide a more useful entry point for my research."

"Also, this place has a flaming marsh, where even the air is burning… we need to be careful about this danger."

To the others, this information didn't seem particularly urgent…

They didn't really understand the research anyway.

Once Albedo finished reading the book, Lumine excitedly pointed at a nearby treasure chest:

"Ryen! Don't just look at that thing! Go open the chest! Wait, no, let Ganyu open it!"

Ryen chuckled and led everyone toward the chest.

"Who opens it doesn't matter. The contents of Lich Tower's treasure chests are basically fixed."

"Hmph! That's not certain!"

Lumine proudly lifted her head, holding Ganyu:

"Ganyu is the true secret weapon!"

Hearing this, Ganyu was a little shy, though opening chests was generally her job anyway.

She stepped forward, reached the chest, and opened it.

The first things that came into view were some Torch Berries, bones, and crow feathers.

Standard fare, but they could now craft a magic map core—so that was useful.

In addition, there were some special Twilight Forest armor pieces, like Iron Tree Helmets.

However, these weren't particularly important to the group.

But what Ganyu pulled out next caught everyone's attention.

"A fan?"

Jean asked curiously.

Ryen took the fan and smiled lightly,

"A Peacock Feather Fan. It can blow a strong gust of wind in a designated direction, forcefully pushing back any creature, but it does no damage."

"Used together with gliders, it can achieve extreme-speed flight."

This fan was actually quite useful.

Although the gust of wind it generated didn't cause direct damage, what if it blew someone high into the air to fall?

Its effect varied depending on who used it.

Some could only use it to stir the air, while others could turn it into a weapon of rules.

There were even people who ran Lich Tower fifteen times and it never dropped.

Ryen knew this, but didn't say who.

"Hehe, so can this be considered a wind-element weapon too?"

Venti looked at Ryen with a cheeky smile and said earnestly,

"Don't you think this should go to someone who really understands wind?"

Ryen glanced at him and put away the Peacock Feather Fan.

"Use it as a toy? You already have wind element—why do you need this?"

"Put it away in Villa at the estate, and take it out when it's needed."

Venti huffed and mumbled softly,

"So stingy!"

Ryen rolled his eyes, then turned to Albedo:

"This fan will be sent to you later. Take a look and see if there's anything special about it."

"After all, it's a direct source of wind element. It should be simpler to study than other items."

Albedo gave a wry smile.

"I can only try my best. The key point of this fan isn't generating wind."

"It's the forced ability to blow any creature a set distance."

"If my guess is correct, this is also a tool involving laws of nature. Don't get your hopes up too high."

Ryen waved his hand and smiled:

"You once said that alchemy and enchantments also involve laws, but you didn't get much research out of them."

"In any case, if you don't try, you'll never succeed. We don't need this for now; just study it for the time being."

Hearing this, Albedo didn't refuse.

He was curious about tools that involved the laws of nature.

"Ganyu, anything else?"

Ryen asked casually, without expecting much.

After all, the most noteworthy item in Lich Tower had already been the Peacock Feather Fan.

But unexpectedly, Ganyu nodded seriously.

"There's a lot more!"

"???"
