Michael was now sitting at his study, a grim look over his face. The cops, his team—everyone failed to locate or find any single trace of Layla. Agitated, he hit his hand hard over the desk, causing the pen stand to tumble and fall.

In the next moment, he ran his hand across the table surface in a fling, causing everything to fall down. The little commotion alerted Nana; she was nearby watering the plants at the balcony.

Nana was stunned to witness the mess on the floor. His laptop, devices, glass items—everything scattered on the floor, with broken pieces of glass everywhere. And then her gaze went back to the person hiding his face in his palms. Seemingly crying.
