Chapter 4 - The Bat is crazy but I am friends with his kids (Updated version)

Cracks and broken bones, minor and major, bruises, and some inner bleeding. That was the first bit of the scan I got in my head, oh, and it got worse. The cracks were both new and old from both last night and months ago. The broken bones that never gotten the chance to fully heal properly. He had a little bit of blood in his lung from a blunt attack of some kind, which was the reason why his ribs cracked a little bit in the area where he had blood in his lung. But he was so damn good at hiding his pain and limps.

But what truly scared me was his mind. It was so strong, solid, yet it had cracks in it to the point that if you hit it just right, then it would break. This was not a mind of a sane man. I couldn't even explain how fucked up his mind was. Therefore, I couldn't even think about the mind of the Joker.

"Gray, are you ok?" asked Bruce with concern. Then I think I might have given him a confused look because he then said next to me, "You are kind of breathing hard."

"Y-yeah, I am f-fine," I said to him as I stepped back from him as I did my breathing routine to calm down the fear I thought I had and to fight the urge to heal him and cure his poor mind.

But I would not do that because that might kill Batman, and that would fuck this world over because the world needed Batman, and because I'd seen and read what happened to the worlds without Batman, and it did not look nice at all. And the plot might not let that happen at all.

I had to get books on controlling emotions and breathing so I could stop doing this type of reaction around people.

"You sure?" asked Dick as he got out of his chair and approached me, yet he didn't get close. It might be because that was what Bruce taught him to do when someone started to freak out or was scared.

"J-just remembered some stuff that I wanted to forget," I lied to them, and I knew that they knew I was lying, and I didn't care because I doubted that they would call me out on it.

"If you say so..."

Bruce and Dick went back to playing chess at the chess table, and I went to the bean bag that was next to the couch that was in front of the TV.

"So what games are we going to play?" I asked as I took off my bookbag and put it next to the bean bag as I sat in it.

"Well, Bruce finally let us get Warhammer, so that's what we're going to play, and I'm going first," Tim said as he turned on the TV and PS5 and put on Warhammer.

"Go ahead, and after you die, I go next," I said to Tim as I got nice and comfortable in the bean bag.

Tim started to play for a bit as we joked and made fun of each other about random things. Sometimes we talked about things we knew and didn't know, and I would give very random facts just because I found some of these facts cool. Dick joined us when Bruce had something to do and left. Dick started to make fun of me when I kept dying over and over because I sucked at games like this. Alfred brought us snacks and drinks about 30 minutes into the games, so I was happy.

"I swear that I will crash the fuck out if you say that shit again," I said to Duke because he was talking really stupid.

"You're just mad that I'm saying the truth that donuts are overrated as fuck," Duke said as he repeated the dumb-as-fuck shit he said.

"You are a damn fucking idiot if you're saying that shit."

"Dude, you are big!"

"The hell I am!"

"Dude, what ar—AGH!?"

I started to wrestle Duke to the ground, and we started to grapple each other. He overpowered me a few times, yet I got out of it even if I bet that he let me, and now I got an arm lock on him with one of my legs wrapped around his neck.

"Take it back right now!" I told him.

"Never!" he said to me, and I started to pull his arm harder. "AGH!"

"Take it back!"

"FINE, I take it back that donuts are overrated!"

I then let go of his arm and neck. Then I got off of him, and we started to straighten our clothes. Then Duke sat back on the couch a little upset, and I sat on the bean bag.

"Take that smug look off your face, asshole," Duke said to me as he rubbed the arm that I had a lock on, and I bet he was faking it because this dude was stronger than me.

"Anyway, where did you learn how to do an armlock, Gray?" Dick asked me as he ate an apple.

"Oh, YouTube, and I bought myself a fighting dummy a few months ago so I can learn that type of stuff, plus I'm too poor to go to a class to learn how to fight," I said to him as I drank some iced tea.

"Really?"

"Yeah."

Dick nodded his head at my answer, and he started to think, I believed, because he wasn't saying anything and wasn't really looking at anything, so I assumed that he was thinking.

"What time is it?" I asked, more to myself, as I took out my phone to see the time, and it was 6:13 PM. Then I said, "Shit, I need to get going before it gets dark, plus I need to stop at a few stores."

"Then let us walk you to the garage to get your bike," Tim said as he paused the game.

So now we were on our way to the garage, and once we got there, I grabbed my bike and put my headphones on my head and picked my playlist as I said my goodbyes to them.

"See ya, guys!" I yelled out as I rode to the gates, and they opened for me. Then I rode out of them.

"They're 100 percent suspicious of me now," I told myself once I was a good distance from the manor.

I started to hum to myself as I rode to Alice Garden Shop so I could get some seeds that I wanted of herbs and plants while also getting any tools and dirt or soil that I would need.

I got to the place in about a good 15 minutes, so I got off my bike and walked into the store. Then I put my bike inside the store with me as I locked it to something that would work and keep it inside of the store while I got everything I needed. I grabbed a few seeds of herbs and plants that I knew could help me with healing or something like that. Then a voice at the front asked me a question.

"Can I help you with anything, dear?" the older woman asked me from behind the counter.

"Umm, yeah, do you have any good soil that's good for herbs?" I asked her.

"It's the big red and green bag on the bottom, dear."

"Thank you."

So I grabbed the bag of soil, seeds, tools, and some pots. Then I headed to the front counter and put them on it. She started to scan all the items that I picked.

"138 dollars," she said, giving the total price of all my items.

I let out a deep breath at the price, then I paid for it in cash. After I paid, I walked with all the stuff in my arms and on my bike, so I looked for an alley that I could go in and put all the stuff I bought in my Magical Backpack. When I found a good alley, I put it all in the Backpack. Then I got back on my bike and rode home.

[AN: Hello Goblins, this chapter was kind of rush because I have been really busy with school work and looking for some good trade schools for electrician because this is my last year of high school.

Anyway if you had not notice yet that the MC don't really add a little of detail like that is because he is kind of simple and straightforward so but you will notice that in the future when or if I do a other POV then you will see the different in detailed.

Also I was thinking about giving him Pyrokinesis as his meta-abilities because I like the idea of a healer that can make stuff and use fire plus he can make it seem like it his fire that is healing people and not the Essence but making the fire heat be very low to the point where it can't burn anything then he use the Essence to heal the person therefor making it look like it the fire or he can heal people with the fire like in the Avatar and other characters that use fire to heal.

Should he be Chaotic good or Neutral good?]
