The emcee narrated the event since many viewers and bettors are complaining about the unexpected result.
"This is far from over. As of now as you can see, two candidates are taking the lead and are currently at the 12th step and still moving while others has no way of resisting thier inner demons. Though this has come to anprecedented results we don't plan this ahead and anything going on in the ladder is out of our hand and is beyond our reach. This is no way a part of the Academy's scheme." Narrated by the emcee.
Viewers and bettors got confused by the results though is not the end yet but they don't believe on it anymore. Some got confused if they are betting on a vote they just withdraw or not.
The director got angry. He slam his arm chair with his palm. "Damn it! We are Doomed!" He said.
He made himself on line to explain and to apologize as well but many of the people all over the world had decided to quit.
"Ladies and gentlemen all over the world, I the Academy Director of the Heroes Academy Apologize to all of you due to this unpredicted turn of events. We did not prepared it this way. I guarantee all of you as the Director, there is no scheme that happened. For hundreds of years that the academy stands it has been a scheming institution more especially this test is important for us, not only the academy but also for the world since this kids are candidates of becoming our new heroes that this Apocalyptic World has badly needed." Narrated the Director.
People doesn't much care about heroes anymore because of other factions that has become as powerful as the heroes.
In this era there is not only the Heroes Academy. There are other factions as well:
the Assassin's Guild, the Hunters League and the League of Mutants. There is also The League of Villains, but they are considered the enemy of this world ever since they found out the source of their power. They are sponsored by the Demons while the heroes were sponsored by the Gods.
"This kid has ruined our Academy Reputation and take advantage of my daughter. Therefore, he can only marry my daughter" told the Director which stunned all of them.
"Am I still online?" He asks.
"Your offline sir" said the Dean.
"Oh that's better." He said.
On the beginning, the director had believed that Fox Slayer was his daughter the moment she choose to wear a mask of a fox, then recently she used the fox-tail-whip which had made him 100% certain that she is his daughter.
"Tell me, how much have we earned for now." The director is asking someone from the Finance department of the Academy.
"As of today, we earned 20 million credit points sir."
"That is so low from last year, I'm afraid we won't reach the average qouta." He said and end their conversation.
"I'm going to go back to my chamber now and I got some works to do. Don't worry I'll be watching this online." After saying this the director just disappeared on his seat.
"So, it's really Jasmine?" The Superintendent asks the Dean.
"Parents have some means to know thier children after all. I believe on the director's words. I'm already thinking about something I would gift the new couple on thier wedding day" answered the Dean that made the Supirentendent dumbstruck.
Null was still running while carrying Fox Slayer, they are now in the 15nth step. Null was holding her thigh and body and the Fox Slayer is holding his neck and leaning her head on his shoulders.
"What a perfect match" other faculty are exclaiming while other senior students are jealous when they find out that it was Jasmine, the daughter of the Academy Director.
"Why it has to be my little sister? I don't want to see her being takin advantage by another man." Cried the senior student Hero named Mugs.
"My love is with another man. What should I do?" Cried Dick.
"Idiots!" Scolded Bubbles Up, as she was walking to the stage and seated on the seat made vacant by the Director.
"It's the director's seat!" Yelled the Supirentendent.
"It's mine now, it's vacant afterall" replied Bubbles Up.
"I wonder why the demons attract your people" said the Supirentendent.
"I don't know either, my captain went already to Australia to submit his report." Answered Bubbles Up.
"Do you know, where are those kids now?" Ask the Supirentendent.
"Forget about that kid, you brought here he will surely fail." Remarked the Dean.
"I give you a hint already, you can choose those candidates whose names comes with Bubbles like you, you see them already on higher steps as for Geo, I'm sure it's him" the Dean then pointed Lucky Zero on the first step of the Ladder who was still crying and trembling.
"No, it can't be possible" reacted Bubbles Up.
"It's certain, I checked on him and he don't even have a core." Told the Dean.
"What make him take the test, if he don't have a core?" Ask the Supirentendent.
"It's because of his parents, it's also the reason why he is trash" answered the Dean.
"Why? Who's son is he?" Ask the more curious Supirentendent.
"He is the son of my student long ago who fell in love with a Class A trash, so the consequences is right in front of us." The Dean explained then he sigh.
"It can't be true" murmured Bubbles Up.
Null was still carrying Fox Slayer and his moving faster now since he don't feel exhausted. They already at the 20th step and it's already night time.
Meanwhile Sky Surfer had arrived at the Black market, There are two black men that escort them and check the roto-taxi as they landed on the 50th ground floor of Tokyo Hotel.
"Where is your pass? Ask the black man while pointing a laser gun on Sky Surfer.
"Hey man take it easy!" He said while holding up his hands as he move out from the vehicle.
"Is this just your driver?" Ask the other black man.
When Sky Surfer nodded the nigger man shoot the driver dead.
"This vehicle is ours now?" Said the other black man. Then they went in the flying roto taxi and drive it and fly away. As they were flying they drop the dead body of the driver and he falls on the 50th ground floor of the hotel.
"Oh that was close" muttered Sky Surfer. He wonder why they let him go that easy and forgot about the pass. Then he went on to find the person who will buy the information he have.
"Old patched eye,you can't hide from the Eye of the Sky" said the Sky Surfer to a person who looks like a vagabond who was just seating in the pathway asking for alms.
"Truly I can't escape from your sight though I have a perfect disguise" said the man dress as a vagabond.
"No we can't talk outside this info is highly confidential." Said the Sky Surfer.
"Come follow me" the man ordered as he stands. Then he escorted the ex-hero to a plain room with two chairs and a plain table. The room is clean and nothing was inside the room just table and chairs.
"I love plain things, it's simple and not complicated." The man said and he instantly transformed his face to the original form. He is now a middle aged man with an eye patched left eye. He has a long thick beard without mustache, his wearing a toxedo.
"That was casual look and fits you" remarked Sky Surfer.
"I'm not that interested about the info of yours but what I'm curious about is the info about you?" Said the man.
"Me? What is so special about me?" The Sky Surfer becomes curious.
"You don't know?" The man is trying to read his reaction to find if he was lying so he was looking in the eye of the ex-hero.
"I don't know about that information your looking for? I had just arrived here after driving those candidates to the Academy." Confessed by the ex-hero afraid that the man would make a moved.
"Then what is your information and how much? Asked the man with an eye patch.
"I only asked for 20,000 merit points and that would do."
The man agreed the price and made a gesture to continue talking.
"In this, Heroes Academy candidates, one of them is a demon. I know it because I'm the one who brought him here in Japan and I know since I have the Eye of the Sky, that darkness inside him won't escape from my eyes." The ex-hero narrated his information.
"Granted, I have send 20,000 credit points to your account." The eye-patched man said.
Sky Sulfer don't know about this man's true identity. He just called him Old Eyepatch since he loved to disguised as an old man. This doesn't work on Sky surfer due to his Eye of the Sky however this ability don't work on a Heroes Mask since it is protected by the God of the Blind.
"Do you want to know the information I knew about you?" The eye patched man asked.
"If it's really true then let me hear it." The ex-hero has give in since the eyed patched man is consistent like he won't let him go if he wouldn't give up.
"The Biotechnology and Laboratories Limited has issue a no kill order for you. You made a mistake by coming in here personally at times like this." The man told him and then a tranquilizer was shot in his neck and he fall down on the floor unconcious.
Time passes by quickly and it was dawn that means the second day of the test had begun.
Null did not stop from moving going forward while carrying Fox Slayer. Sometimes he was running, sometimes he was just walking.
They are now in the 46th step. Some of the students had managed to pass the 10nth step and the one leading them is Damon who is in the 13 nth step and Dina-might who is in the 12th step.
"Just bring me down, Let me handle my inner demon by myself" begged Fox Slayer.
"No, I won't let you go, until we reach the 51rst step. You can't handle your inner demon so just trust me.
Bubbles Up did not sleep that night as well, she leaves the test venue and get drunk alone on the top of a large tree. She just can't accept the fact that Geo is going to fail the test for sure since he was stocked on the first step and don't even have a core.
'Soon, Dina-might was able to catch up on Damon on the 15nth stage. Damon becomes Dina-might's inner demon and vice versa due to the illusionary effect of the Ladder. Now they are going to fight.
"Ladies and gentlemen, good morning to all of you from Japan I extend my greetings to the world, who supports us especially our followers. Today is the second day of the contest. Both Null and Fox Slayer is in the 48th step. But what is interesting is we are going to witness a good match between candidates. It's between candidate Damon against the candidate Dina-might on the 15nth step." Narrated by the emcee that makes the morning more lively.
"Every candidates is moving exept for Lucky Zero or should I say Zero Luck since he don't have any luck at all" emcee ridiculed Lucky Zero as he thinks that trashes deserves this kind of treatment.
"What did you say?" It was Bubbles Up who reacted.
"What kind of a teacher are you?" As she punched him, it was easily block by his hand and then he grab her wrist and throw him on towards a tree. The tree was damaged as it was cut down. Bubbles Up vomited a mouthful of blood.
"Don't act rectlessly, you're just an S class hero" the emcee reprimanded her.
