Chapter 26 - Refining

Bram led the way into a back room where there were bookshelves lining the walls.

"Ok. Rayleigh, can you call Agent for me, please?"

Rayleigh was confused.

"Why do you need Agent? I thought you were going to refine my ability."

"You see, Rayleigh, your ability has technically just woken you. You have bearly used it, so it would be a waste for me to try to refine it, and also, since you have barely used it, it could backfire badly. Agent, however, is a weapon, so I can make him stronger and also give you suggestions on what training he can do to get stronger."

Rayleigh had never thought of Agent as a weapon. He had always seen him as someone to protect him.

"Ok, so, I need to call him, and you will make him stronger?"

"That is correct."

Rayleigh knew that he needed to be as strong as possible for what was to come. Agent, I need to come to me. Agent appeared from the ground, kneeling in front of Rayleigh.

"Excellent, I can already see that I can refine him with ease."

Agent, sensing what was happening, walked into the center of the room.

Bram rolled up his sleeves and began to refine him.

"Oh, great refiners of the past, heed my call and assist this noble weapon in achieving even greater power. Let it be able to stand against the sands of time and the cruelty of fate, let it have the power to protect its owner through anything that happens. Let its name echo throughout the future and become legendary."[1]

With that Agent started to shake and started to lose his form.

"Vergya! Fetch the fabrics!"

Rayleigh was staring at the ball that was Agent.

"What's happening to him?"

"He's taking on his true form. Since you are inexperienced at making null entities, he wasn't properly made."

Vergya returned with several fabrics consisting of silk, cotton, polyester, and more, but Rayleigh couldn't make them out. Some of the fabrics were sucked into the ball, and it started to glow. The next second, there was a flash of light, and Agent was standing in the center of the room again. He was wearing actual clothes now. [2]He had on a black fedora that was sitting at an angle; he had on a navy blue suit, and he had fingerless gloves and was wearing a white mask with only eye holes. [3]

"Behold. Agnet's true form."

[1] couldn't think of anything better to say. Some parts I am not that pleased with, but I can live with it

[2] The 'cloths' Agent was wearing were made of the same material he was made of. So it looked like the clothes were fused onto him

[3] I have always wanted to be able to cosplay, but it is hard to find a store with good cosplay of anime characters that aren't 'mainstream' if that makes sense. So I just described Agent so I could easily get an outfit if this gets popular enough
