Chapter 537 - Chapter 537: Here They Come

To be honest, Noah wasn't sure whether Loki had been resurrected.

There was a chance.

After all, Loki hadn't been killed by the power of the Infinity Stones. He wasn't erased in a way that made resurrection impossible.

So in theory, Banner's snap might have brought him back.

But there was also another possibility.

When Banner snapped his fingers, who knew what his exact wish was?

If the wish was to revive those killed by Thanos, then Loki had a chance.

If it was to revive only those killed by the Infinity Stones, then Loki probably had no hope.

Noah couldn't be sure.

He crossed over when Spider-Man returned. What happened after that was anyone's guess.

He shook his head.

Too messy.

Not worth thinking about.

After returning to their rooms and getting a full night's rest, Noah, Thor, and Loki arrived early at the Avengers Compound's conference hall the next morning.

"You're here?" Tony immediately noticed them. "Damn it. You all look well-rested."

"Of course we do." Noah shrugged and sat down on the sofa. "We don't have that many worries. How was your discussion? You all look like you didn't sleep."

Tony and the others looked rough.

Everyone except the "fat" Thor had red eyes.

It was obvious they hadn't rested.

That wasn't surprising. This was a decision that could reshape everything.

Compared to them, the "fat" Thor had far fewer worries.

His answer had probably been the simplest.

Agree.

The reason this Thor had become what he was could be traced back entirely to Thanos.

He only fell into decadence after losing everything.

Now, through Noah, he knew another Thanos was about to arrive.

There was no way he'd miss this chance.

What he lost.

What he abandoned.

He would take it back.

This Thanos was his target.

His revenge.

His way forward.

So he didn't need to hesitate.

Let him come.

As for the others, their considerations were more complicated.

Broadly speaking, they fell into two camps.

Those who agreed: Steve, Banner, Thor, and Barton.

Those who disagreed: Rhodey, Rocket, and Scott.

Tony didn't choose at first.

He was conflicted.

He was a husband.

A father.

He didn't want any accidents.

But Nebula was still in Thanos's hands.

They hadn't known each other long, but their bond was real.

Especially during those three lonely months drifting through space.

Nebula had been there.

He couldn't accept her becoming another tragedy.

In the end, Tony voted to let Thanos come.

The decision surprised everyone.

It surprised Tony himself.

He even slapped himself hard afterward.

But he didn't change it.

"Buddy, why would you do that?" Rhodey asked. As Tony's closest friend, he needed an explanation.

"First," Tony said simply, "we already beat Thanos once."

"Second, this time we're not alone."

He looked at Noah.

"We have three very powerful allies from another universe."

Rhodey couldn't really refute that.

When Tony explained it directly to Noah, Noah just laughed.

This time, they weren't fighting alone.

Noah and his companions were here.

"So," Noah tilted his head, "is the gauntlet ready?"

"It is." Tony smiled confidently, then pointed at the unconscious Nebula. "But what about her?"

"Restore her," Noah said. "She won't know anything. I used the Time Stone."

"The Time Stone?" Tony frowned. "What do you mean?"

"It means her timeline is frozen at the moment I stopped it yesterday," Noah replied calmly. "You're good with data, aren't you? Or do you need rest?"

Tony immediately understood.

As for rest, he shook his head without hesitation.

He didn't need it.

He'd rest after everything was over.

Noah didn't mind.

He and the others were already fully rested.

About half a morning later, the Avengers completed the replica of Thanos's Infinity Gauntlet.

Noah even noticed Tony had secretly made one for himself.

Clearly, he was preparing for contingencies.

At the same time, Tony dealt with Nebula.

He thoroughly modified her internal data, ensuring she wouldn't notice that nearly a day of her time had gone missing.

When everything was ready, Noah followed them into the laboratory.

Banner was still the one snapping his fingers.

Even the "fat" Thor didn't argue this time.

Maybe he was saving his strength.

Saving it to properly welcome Thanos.

As Banner grimaced and put on the Infinity Gauntlet, Noah focused completely.

He was curious.

What kind of power did six Infinity Stones truly produce when combined?

Noah had gathered all six before, but true synthesis required time.

Too much time.

So he watched.

Carefully.

Banner raised his arm with visible strain.

Then-

He snapped.

In that instant, Noah felt an indescribable surge of power erupt.

It felt like something was being rewritten.

As if everything was pulled back to a starting point, adjusted at a critical node, and then overlaid again.

The information contained within it was overwhelming.

Noah immediately realized this was far beyond his current level of understanding.

This was power that transcended time and space.

Like the laws of existence themselves.

"What... is this?" Noah thought, genuinely shaken.

But he didn't dwell on it.

Because at the exact moment the snap echoed, space and time trembled.

A vast, terrifying aura appeared above them.

Not only Noah.

Thor and Loki felt it too.

They exchanged a glance.

There was no need for words.

Thanos had arrived.

Tony's timing had been perfect.

Noah looked at the Avengers.

Then he retrieved his own Time Stone.

Snapping fingers?

In any universe, Noah wouldn't even consider it.

He placed the Time Stone back into his Spatial Star and immediately cast another spell.

The room became hazy in an instant.

"Is that him?"

Wong arrived at the laboratory entrance with Kamar-Taj sorcerers.

But the question answered itself.

Without hesitation, Wong led them into action.

Circles appeared.

Not every sorcerer could freely open the Mirror Dimension. Noah was an exception, not the rule.

When Wong and the sorcerers entered the Mirror Dimension, Hawkeye's phone rang.

Missiles.

Explosions.

Violent tremors shook everything.

"Looks like he's in a bad mood," Noah said with a smile, waving his hand as golden light spread.

The Avengers suddenly found themselves outside the Compound.

"Damn Thanos!"

The "fat" Thor stared at the massive warship in the sky.

He recognized it instantly.

Years ago, this ship had destroyed everything.

His brother.

His friends.

Half his people.

Thunder roared.

Lightning wrapped around him as his armor reformed.

Noah glanced at him, then opened the Mirror Dimension fully.

The Avengers stepped out.

At that moment, the ship's hatch opened.

A blue beam flashed.

And a tall, powerful purple figure landed on the ground below.
