Chapter 154 - Feeling Apologetic

Sitting alone near the trees, Duncan despondently drank Elvish Winterlaw Wine. Chugging straight from the bottle, he ruminated over his disgraceful behaviour in front of the rest of the group. Man will they think I'm such a dick...

Taking another swig, he realised that the bottle was empty. Just as he was about to open his throat bottle, a rough green hand stopped him in his tracks. "Kid, you'd better stop chugging booze like water. From what I remember, you ain't got any Dwarven blood in your stream, so your liver ain't gonna last that long. If I were you, I'd stop chugging and explain to this handsome Orc before you what's bugging you..."

Grabbing ahold of the large wine bottle, Torus yanked it off Duncan's hand. Seeing him dishevelled, Tirus grew worried at his state. Giving him a stink eye, Duncan gave a defensive, before explaining why he was sitting down beside the trees, drunk off his rockers. "Old man, suppose let's say, I have a friend who did something terrible. Like terrible terrible: He yelled at a...friend of his, and treated them badly at that. What would you do?"

Taking a deep look, Titus sighed, before plopping himself beside Duncan. "I don't know why your...'friend'...did it, cause it's their issue, but what I can say is to learn the context, find the backstory behind it. Y'know, to be human is to err, and I can say with all my heart, you...are still human (in nature that is, if you know what I mean). So...what will you do now?"

Head rising, for the first time since the long stupor he felt hope, a chance to redeem himself. "What must I do?" "Simple; just tell her what troubled toy when you broke up with her. No, don't give me the eye, I've lived long enough to know that many couples break apart due to miscommunications (among other things)."

Getting up, Titus dusted himself. "Oh, and by the way, last I heard, they've started the Jaffa cake production assembly. If you go now, you might be able to catch the end of the demonstration..."

Warmth flowing through his heart, Duncan held out his hand, for which Titus used as a means to lift him up. "Thanks, old man. Oh, and by the way, if anyone asks, just say it was for a friend. A FRIEND. Got it?"

Rolling his eyes, Titus gave his word. "No problemo! Mouth's sealed, though I dunno about others..."

As Duncan rushed ahead, Titus gazed upwards, where a small bat was seen hanging. "I'm not gonna intrude here, cause this is the business of the young..."

Shaking his head for the umpteenth time, Titus followed Duncan once he saw the bat had flown away...

Now cleaned, Duncan headed towards the endnofntne assembly line, where a complete package was being held. Holding it up, he saw within it 6 Jaffa cakes, their Cikolet shells glinting in the light. Opening it, he took one of them, holding it in the light. Once satisfied, he took a deep sniff, before taking a giant bite out of the cake. Chewing for what seemed like an eternity, his expression changing through all kinds of emotions, before a large smile erupted on his face.

"This shit's good! Prepare the carriage and send them to the ships!"

And a large cheer erupted in the room...
