Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Rebirth in the Shadows

Kall Veyros had lived three lives. His first, as an ordinary man on Earth, ended in obscurity. His second, in a world of cultivation, had been one of struggle, triumph, and ultimately, transcendence. But it was this third life—the one he now found himself in—that was the most dangerous of all.

He was reborn into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

And he knew everything about it.

Kall awoke to the sterile glow of artificial light. The ceiling above him was smooth and white, the faint hum of machinery humming in the background. He was in a facility—one far too advanced for the world he had left behind.

'No… this isn't the cultivation world anymore.'

Memories rushed into him, filling his mind like a dam breaking open. He had lived a full life as a cultivator, reaching heights that few could even dream of. He had shattered the void, surpassed mortality, and sought the mysteries of the universe. But before all that, he had been a simple man from Earth, a world where Marvel was nothing more than fiction.

Yet now, it was his reality.

And he was not safe.

Kall sat up, examining his hands. He looked young, no more than eighteen. His body felt unfamiliar, but powerful—not just the body of an ordinary human. There was something more lurking beneath the surface, something primal and potent.

His thoughts sharpened, organizing his priorities.

He had no interest in being caught up in the madness of this world. The battles of gods and monsters, the political webs of SHIELD and Hydra, the cosmic horrors lurking in the dark—he knew too much to be reckless. Power was the only currency that mattered, and he would acquire it quietly.

The Foundation of Power

Kall needed to understand what had carried over from his cultivation life. Closing his eyes, he reached inward.

And then he felt it.

A core of pure energy, refined over millennia in his past life. Yet it was different now. The Marvel Universe did not operate on the same principles as the cultivation world. The laws of reality were molded by science, magic, and cosmic forces far beyond a single system of power. If he wanted to thrive, he needed to adapt.

Principles of his Power System:

Cultivation Core: His foundation was still rooted in Qi, but it had evolved. Instead of just cultivating Qi like in his past life, it now acted as a bridge, absorbing and refining other energy sources. Genetic Adaptation: The Marvel Universe was filled with mutations, enhancements, and super-soldier serums. His new body had an inherent trait—it could absorb and integrate genetic enhancements. Magic Affinity: As a cultivator, he had learned the principles of runes and formations. Here, they translated into magic. This meant that both sorcery and arcane arts could be part of his arsenal.

Conclusion: He had the potential to be something new—a being who could cultivate Qi, adapt genetically, and wield magic. A true hybrid.

A Silent Beginning

Before he could plan further, a beep from outside the room made him freeze.

A door slid open.

A man in a white lab coat stepped in, checking a clipboard. His eyes flicked toward Kall, who immediately feigned confusion, keeping his body relaxed.

"You're awake," the man muttered, scribbling something down. "Vitals seem stable… subject shows no signs of degradation…"

Kall's mind sharpened.

He was a subject. Which meant he was likely in a lab. That drastically narrowed down his possible locations. He could be in a government facility, a Hydra experiment, or worse—Oscorp, AIM, or even one of the secretive cosmic research sites.

"…Where am I?" Kall asked, keeping his tone groggy.

The scientist barely glanced at him. "You're at a specialized research facility. Don't worry—you're safe."

Safe?

Kall resisted the urge to scoff. No place that called someone a "subject" was safe.

He had to escape. But first, he needed more information.

Patience and Escape

Over the next few days, Kall played the role of an amnesiac, carefully observing everything. The scientists weren't Hydra, nor were they SHIELD. That meant they were likely independent, which was good—it meant he wasn't caught up in a large organization yet.

More importantly, he confirmed his body's capabilities:

His Qi Core allowed him to passively strengthen his body. His Genetic Adaptation had already started analyzing and enhancing his DNA. His Magic Affinity was latent, but he could feel a connection to the world's arcane forces.

All he needed was time.

Unfortunately, time was a luxury he didn't have.

The First Step into the Shadows

On the fifth day, an opportunity arrived.

A security lapse. A careless guard. An open pathway.

With precision and silence, Kall moved.

His body reacted perfectly. He wasn't at his peak strength yet, but compared to normal humans? He was a phantom. He avoided cameras, manipulated shadows, and escaped into the night.

When he finally stood outside, breathing in the fresh air, he gazed upon the city skyline.

New York City.

Marvel's battleground.

A place of chaos, heroes, and destruction.

But Kall had no intention of joining their games. Not yet.

He would watch. He would wait. He would grow.

And when the time came, the world would not even realize the master that lurked in the shadows.

Kall Veyros had arrived.
