Few months have passed as the soldiers all prepared in better shape for the up coming war. The general, standing next to the king in his chamber said.
"Your majesty, the preparation is set, we are awaiting your orders".
Looking at the king as he looks pale, like he has not had any sleep, he asked again
"Your majesty, what is it that troubles you?".
The king bowing his head as memories flashing through his head, over and over again, he whispered.
"How can this be?, what must I have to do?".
The general still pressing forward, asked.
"My king if there's any way I can.....".
"Leave my presence now". The king said, holding his face as he bows his head.
As the general steps out of his chamber.
He exhales as he hears screams which keeps getting louder and louder as he closes his eyes.
Whispering to himself.
"I thought I could fix it, but it seems to have worsen now, what should I do, go back?, no, I can't.
Still in his thought Jonathan, the sorcerer forces his way into the king chamber along with two guards, as they bow in fear.
"We apologise your majesty, we tried stopping him but we failed".
Jonathan with anger in his voice.
"King, I wish to speak to you".
The king ordered the guards to take their leave, in sarcasm he replies.
"What have you come to say now oh great one".
Jonathan replied.
"You have put this kingdom in harms way your majesty, and I won't sit back and watch, you might be the king, but I also have the authority to seize.....".
"You will do no such thing Jonathan" the king replies full of rage and spite.
"I have sacrificed so much, I have done so many things, I got my hands dirty to get here".
He then gazes back at the sorcerer, rage full in his pale eyes, as he approaches him.
"And I don't plan to loose without a fight".
Jonathan frightened by the gaze of the king he asks.
"Lucas, what have you done to yourself?, I will take my leave now, you will never see me again, I will not be a part of this".
The king replied.
"Leave now, from this moment on you are hear by banished from this kingdom, never to be set foot in this kingdom ever again".
Jonathan replies.
"As you wish, I was never going to return anyways". As he takes his leave.
Overhearing the conversation Fiona came out of hiding, grabbing his cloak
"Jonathan, take me with you, I refuse to remain in the mist if such evil, and It's high time I search for my son".
Jonathan replied.
"Your majesty, how is the state of your memories if I may ask".
She replies.
"Encouraging I must say, still filled with gaps I would have to figure out".
"Interesting, I am glad I was able to help, I must take my leave now". He replied.
Still holding tightly to his cloak she says.
"I have been band from leaving this palace, the security has doubled, after the last incident, I might never have a chance to leave again".
Jonathan staring back at her, realizes she was being serious, exhaled softly.
"Follow me, and don't let go".
Still clinging unto his cloak, she follows him, as they passed different guards, but for some reason, she wasn't seen by any, until they leave the palace.
"You're safe now". He says.
The statement he made kicked in some other memories of hers, about a man she doesn't remember his face, which was a major gap in her memory.
He then continues.
"Where do you wish to go from here, in search of your son".
Not hearing any response he asked.
"Are you ok my queen".
Staring directly into his eyes lost in thoughts, she replied.
"H-hm yes I am alright, I would like you to help me find my son Jonathan".
He replies.
"Yes your majesty, let's..."
"I am no longer the queen Jonathan, I already established that when I decided to leave the palace, Fiona is my name". She says.
Jonathan replies.
"Of course Fiona, we may leave now".
On their journey to Jonathan's place Fiona asked.
"Jonathan, may I ask you a question?".
"Of course". He replies.
She continues.
"I always thought you were a cold emotionless man, who only follows order from thy king, but yet when it comes to me you seem.... Different, why is that?".
Jonathan remained silent.
She continues.
"Do I perhaps remind you of someone?".
Jonathan, triggered by that question he replies.
"You said you have gaps in your memories lady Fiona, may I ask, what you see in those gaps?"
She replies.
"You can't use a question to answer another".
"I apologise", Jonathan replies.
"Well it's about a man, from a very long time ago, before I met up with the king, he helped me when I got lost in the woods, I don't quite remember his face, and I try so hard in my memories, but his face is always darkened, by the light. "We played together grew up together, he was so innocent and caring, how heartless if me not to remember his name yet alone his face".
As she shards tears holding onto his cloak.
Jonathan replies, a tear rolling down his face.
"We have arrived, get some rest now".
"Thank you Jonathan", she replies wiping her tears off.
During this past few months, Alex and his mum, have now moved into town, no more in hiding.
Alex now aware of his real past, know Melina isn't his biological mother, and he had royal blood, knowing what is fighting for, he took his training with the god more seriously to protect Melina, and to fulfill the destiny that has been written for him.
Opening his eyes, Alex exhales, whispering to himself.
"Another successful training day, my back hurts".
As he walks out seeing the old man and Melina, having a conversation as they smile, seeing this Alex smirked as he thought to himself
'something worth fighting for, I will not loose this to anyone'.
Melina seeing Alex back from his meditations she said.
"You must be hungry son, come on have something to eat". serving him.
Matthew the old man asked.
"So son how is the training going?".
Alex exhales as he replies.
"It gets tougher each time, he's that powerful, he created a world in there, but just for me and him, I have never and I don't think I will ever beat him".
"Don't doubt your own strength son, he is a god, no man can defeat him, but if you can keep him entertained then you also are quite powerful". He continues.
"May I ask how Ogun the god of war and iron appear to be".
Alex raises his head, as the image of the god appear in his head.
"Skin the colour of dark brass, dressed in royalty as well as a warrior, eyes that pierces like blade the colour of hazel, muscles, arms, his body sculpted perfectly, and his voice, loud as thunder".
Matthew replies with a smile on his face.
"I feel envious, being a vessel of Ogun is a huge blessing".
As they all smile together in joy.
"No!, no!, noooo!, help me!, help me!", screaming nonstop Jonathan rushed in and held Fiona in his arms tightly.
"You're safe now, it's just a dream, you're safe now".
Waking up see him holding her as what he says again, triggers her memory.
"Ofcourse.... It's you". As all the memories flashes in her head, the man at which she spoke about, became more clearer and clearer, as she stares back at Jonathan.
"It's you, in my memories, it's you".
Jonathan stares back at her as he sheads tears.
"Yes my love it's me, you finally remember".
As Melina start crying heavily, holding onto Jonathan.
"I am sorry, I am so sorry" still crying heavily.
"It's alright my love, I wanted you to remember yourself, and I'm glad you did". Jonathan replies.
Melina suddenly stops as she looks at Jonathan.
"There's something I have to tell you". She continues.
"I remember, I remember it all, I also remember I ran away because you were hurt for some reason".
Jonathan replied.
"Yes and I am sorry for that, my master was murdered and it was my fault, what did you wish to tell me Melina?".
She replies.
"It's my son Jonathan, he is not royal blood... He is yours Jonathan, he is our son.
With a surprising look on his face, he stepped back as she continues.
"I ran away, seeing you like that, before the incident with the king, I wanted to tell you before I was captured, but that way I couldn't... I was pregnant for your child Jonathan".
She then approached Jonathan, tears rolling down his eyes, he holds his hands as she said.
"Let's go..... Let's go look for our son Jonathan.... Now".
