This world… it's absolutely chaotic!
Toneri stood beside Naruto, monitoring Ōtsutsuki Momoshiki and Kinshiki with the Reincarnation Eye. Naruto sat cross-legged, holding his legs, still deeply absorbed in the scene he had just witnessed.
It was… unbelievable. One man fighting two formidable opponents.
Naruto couldn't help but feel a twinge of shame. Even with all his power, the two Ōtsutsuki pillars were simply extraordinary. Their strength, speed, and coordination were on a level that made even him, the Seventh Hokage, feel dwarfed in comparison.
As for why he had flown the Flying Thunder God directly to the moon earlier, that had been his own choice—an instinctual move to assess the situation firsthand.
He took a deep breath, thinking of how far and fast he had traveled. The moon's vast desolation gave him perspective, yet he still preferred the safety of Konoha and the familiarity of home.
After spending some time with Toneri, Naruto decided to return to Konoha via Flying Thunder God. The crisp air of the village welcomed him back, and by the time he arrived, Kushina was already preparing dinner. Naruto didn't plan to go out again immediately, so he had a proper meal at home, feeling grounded once more.
After dinner, he remembered another pressing matter. Sasuke.
The battle earlier should have concluded by now, and Naruto wanted to ensure his friend was safe. To avoid any unnecessary attention, he decided not to use the Flying Thunder God again—walking was safer for this visit.
He made his way to the Uchiha residence. Luckily, Sasuke was at home this time.
"Oh, Naruto! You're here! Come in, have you eaten?" Mikoto greeted warmly.
Naruto smiled politely. "I've eaten, Auntie. Thank you."
Fugaku, standing nearby, chuckled. "Ah, Naruto! Welcome! It's been a while."
Naruto bowed slightly. "Lord Fugaku."
Fugaku waved him off with a grin. "Call me uncle, Naruto. I've already passed the age for formalities!"
Naruto couldn't help but laugh. Fugaku's wisdom and composure were clear—he had truly seen life in all its cycles. After resurrection, he had chosen to remain mostly within the clan estate, only stepping out when necessary, keeping the resurrected Uchiha disciplined and content.
Itachi, due to the lingering effects of the clan's genocide, remained distant. And Shisui? Unless personally convinced by a friend, he would not return. But Sasuke… he returned swaggering, as always. The current head of the Uchiha clan, fully recognized in Konoha, Sasuke carried himself with the confidence and authority befitting a clan patriarch.
Fugaku nodded toward the stairs. "Sasuke's upstairs, Naruto. Go on up."
Naruto, knowing his place in the family hierarchy and the trust they had in him, didn't hesitate. He climbed the stairs.
"Sasuke! I'm coming to see you!" he called, his voice echoing slightly.
Sasuke lay sprawled on his bed, staring at the ceiling. Upon hearing Naruto, he sat up, squinting slightly. "Did you come to see me?"
Naruto shook his head, a small smile playing on his lips. "No… why do you ask?"
Sasuke narrowed his eyes. "You did come by earlier, didn't you? My mother said you weren't here, and then you left?"
Naruto's heart skipped a beat. He nodded quickly. "Ah, yes! That's exactly it. I did come by, but your mother said you weren't home. Then I left… and, well, something else happened with Hinata. By the time I remembered, it was night, and I thought I'd come find you!"
Sasuke snorted, folding his arms. After a pause, he reminded Naruto, "Have you forgotten? Between us, we possess the Yin and Yang powers granted by the Sage of Six Paths. We can sense each other's hearts no matter the distance."
Naruto's eyes widened. Damn it. He had almost forgotten! In that moment, he hadn't used his Yang power—but did that mean Sasuke had sensed him through Yin? Naruto doubted it, yet the thought left him slightly nervous.
Seeing Naruto's serious expression, Sasuke finally smiled. "Relax. I was just teasing. Now, tell me—what brings you here?"
Naruto exhaled, relief flooding him. "I have something serious to discuss. Let's go outside."
Sasuke frowned. "Can't you say it here?"
Naruto shook his head. "Not really. It's better to talk privately."
Sasuke rose silently, following Naruto. Mikoto, noticing their departure, assumed it was regarding persuading Sasuke to start a family. She smiled warmly. "Enjoy your time together, boys. Take as long as you need."
Sasuke muttered under his breath, "Seems my mother trusts you a lot."
Naruto grinned. "I'd say it's just my irresistible charm."
Sasuke groaned. "Cut it out."
Once in a quieter area, Naruto reached out and grabbed Sasuke's hand. Sasuke flinched and tried to pull away. "What are you doing? Just talk—why the hand-holding?"
Naruto clenched his fist in mock frustration. "You make this too difficult sometimes!"
Sasuke, arms crossed, scowled. But before further protests could arise, Naruto touched Sasuke's shoulder and activated Flying Thunder God. With a sudden buzz, they vanished from Konoha.
On the moon, Naruto brought Sasuke to Toneri's side.
Toneri's eyes widened slightly at the unexpected arrival. "You didn't just come to admire the view this time, did you?"
Sasuke glanced around warily. "Why am I here?"
Naruto's expression grew serious. "You'll see soon enough."
Toneri activated the Reincarnation Eye, projecting it directly toward Sasuke. With a hum of energy, the image of Ōtsutsuki Momoshiki and Kinshiki approaching Earth appeared before Sasuke's eyes.
Sasuke's eyes narrowed, understanding the gravity immediately. Naruto placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "Stay focused. This isn't a drill."
Sasuke's lips tightened. "I see. Let's make sure we're ready."
Together, the three of them—Naruto, Sasuke, and Toneri—prepared to face the impending threat. The Ōtsutsuki were coming, and this time, the stakes were higher than ever.
