Chapter 573 - Chapter 573: Looking for Sai

A soft hissing sound marked the arrival.

Naruto and Sasuke appeared in front of Sasuke's house.

"Sasuke, let's leave it at that for tonight. Make sure to get up early tomorrow, and I'll come find you. Then we'll head to the Hokage office together to meet Teacher Kakashi!" Naruto said quickly.

Before Sasuke could respond, Naruto had already disappeared with the Flying Thunder God.

Sasuke swallowed the words that were just about to leave his lips. Forget it. Better not ask—it'd be embarrassing.

Shaking his head, he turned and entered his home. In the living room, Mikoto and Fugaku were still watching TV.

"Sasuke is back!" Mikoto exclaimed, stepping forward with a warm smile.

Sasuke nodded briefly, muttered a polite good night to Mikoto and Fugaku, and headed upstairs.

Mikoto wanted to say something further, but thought better of it. After all, Naruto had gone out to see Sasuke last night, and she had asked him to help persuade Sasuke.

Fugaku, noticing her hesitation, spoke softly. "If you have something to say, just talk to him directly. He'll understand."

Mikoto sighed. "Let him have some time. Tonight, Naruto went out specifically to help me. Sasuke will listen to him, eventually."

Fugaku nodded, taking a deep breath. "The continuation of the Uchiha bloodline rests with Sasuke."

The next morning, Naruto woke early. Surprisingly, Kushina was already up. As he opened the door and descended the stairs, the sounds of activity came from the kitchen.

"Mom, why are you up so early?" Naruto asked, rubbing his eyes.

Kushina looked surprised. "Hey, Naruto! I should be asking you that. Why did you get up this early?"

"I have something to do, so I woke up early," Naruto replied simply.

Kushina nodded, smiling. "Oh, okay. I'll prepare your breakfast first. Hinata hasn't woken up yet, right?"

Naruto shook his head. "She's still asleep."

Kushina chuckled. "Let her sleep a little longer then."

Just then, the door opened and Minato stepped in, still carrying the vegetables he had purchased. "Naruto, you're up early!" he exclaimed.

Naruto smiled. "I have something to do today."

Noticing the groceries, Naruto laughed. "Dad, did you go buy these yourself?"

Minato nodded proudly. "Yes. Your mother usually cooks, so I went out to get the vegetables. Have you washed up yet?"

Naruto realized he hadn't. "Oh! Right. I need to wash up first."

"Go, go!" Minato waved him along, carrying the groceries into the kitchen to hand to Kushina.

After washing up, Naruto had breakfast prepared by Kushina and then set out to find Sasuke.

Determined to avoid last night's embarrassing scenario, Naruto decided not to teleport directly to Sasuke's house this time. Instead, he first teleported to the Uchiha clan grounds and walked casually to Sasuke's house.

He knocked on the door firmly. Mikoto answered with a smile.

"Naruto, you're up early. Have you eaten?" she asked warmly. "Sasuke is still having breakfast."

Naruto responded as he entered. "I've eaten, Auntie. I'm here to see Sasuke!"

Inside, Sasuke was sitting in the living room, quietly eating his breakfast.

"Wait five minutes," he said, noticing Naruto.

Naruto nodded patiently. "No rush."

After Sasuke finished, Naruto greeted Mikoto and Fugaku briefly before the two left together.

"Let's go—straight to the Hokage office!" Sasuke said.

Naruto shook his head. "Not yet. First, we need to find someone else."

"Who?" Sasuke asked, raising an eyebrow.

Naruto placed a hand on his shoulder, grinning. "Sai."

With a buzz, the two teleported to the nearest marker leading to Sai's location. They approached Sai's home and knocked at the door.

Sai opened it, a bright smile appearing on his face. "Naruto! Why are you here?"

He looked past Naruto, noticing Sasuke following behind. "Sasuke too? You're here as well!"

Naruto smiled. "Sai, come with us. I need your help."

Sai gestured inside. "Wait a moment—the house is a bit messy. I'll clean it up first."

Sasuke tilted his head. "What's he doing?"

Naruto blushed faintly, feeling slightly embarrassed. For the first time, Sai's habits surprise me, but I'll wait patiently.

Sasuke, unimpressed, activated his Sharingan to scan the house. Moments later, he smirked.

"No wonder," Sasuke muttered. "Someone in the household would, of course, keep things tidy. Makes sense."

Once ready, Sai invited them inside again. Naruto and Sasuke stepped in, and to Naruto's surprise, Ino was also there.

"Naruto! Sasuke!" she greeted cheerfully.

Naruto glanced at Sasuke and realized the cleverness behind his plan. By not teleporting directly to Sai, he had avoided the potential embarrassment of stumbling into this scene.

Sai motioned for them to sit. "Naruto, Sasuke, make yourselves comfortable."

Ino moved seamlessly to the kitchen, pouring tea for both Naruto and Sasuke. She had clearly been living here recently and was familiar with the routines.

Sai looked at Naruto and Sasuke. "So… what brings you here?"

Sasuke held his teacup and indicated toward Naruto. "You ask him."

Naruto smiled faintly. "Sai… look into Sasuke's eyes."

Sai groaned but complied, gazing into Sasuke's Sharingan.

Sasuke raised an eyebrow. "What are you doing?"

Naruto rolled his eyes at him. "Come on, you're smart. Use your Sharingan and Genjutsu. I want you to project images of those two Ōtsutsuki for Sai to draw. That way, when we hold the meeting, we can either show it directly or print copies for the other villages."

Sasuke nodded in understanding.

Sai, now comprehending the task, prepared himself. "Alright, I'm ready."

He activated his Mangekyō Sharingan and began a Genjutsu projection, transferring the scene Sasuke had witnessed to Sai's perception. Seconds later, Sai's chest heaved in shock.

The Genjutsu ended. Sai looked up, still in disbelief. "Naruto… who are these two? One of them… has the Rinnegan!"

Ino, overhearing this, covered her mouth in astonishment.
