Arriving at the restaurant and entering their private room, Matthew was walking to pull out Evelynn's chair, when something dark shot past him.
He quickly positioned himself between Evelynn and the dark figure, taking on a defensive stance, using himself as a shield.
On high alert, Matthew prepared for an attack, the same way he had grown accustomed to inside the tower.
But it didn't attack.
Looking at the table, Matthew saw a slime with colors he had never seen before.
"Stand behind me, Evelynn," he cautioned, about to take his sword out of his inventory.
"I don't know how a slime escaped from the tower, but there's something off about its coloring," he warned.
Hearing Matthew, Evelynn quickly looked down at her purse.
Her scarf had fallen to the ground and was lying by her feet, and all she saw inside the purse was her lip balm, the keys to her appartement, her credit card and her phone.
'Dandelion…!' She fretted internally, as she moved to get past Matthew.
