Chapter 26 - Xiao Zhan Takes the Blame

But in the next instant, Han Yuyao's expression completely changed.

No, that wasn't Xiao Zhan—not that crooked-mouthed fool!

This was…

Watching the "Xiao Zhan" in front of her beating people up while cursing like a thug, a very familiar scoundrel's figure slowly surfaced in her mind.

She was almost certain—the man before her wasn't Xiao Zhan at all.

It was that bastard, Huang Yu.

On the other side, Zuo Yi was gloating to himself. That wretched woman Han Yuyao had finally fallen into his hands—how could he not take his time teaching her a lesson?

But before he could savor the moment, his vision suddenly went black. A split second later, it felt as if a truck had slammed into him.

His body was sent flying, crashing hard onto the floor.

Zuo Yi's head spun wildly, his chest throbbing with such pain it felt like his bones were shattering apart.

"Young Master Zuo!"

The bodyguards nearby rushed forward in panic, ready to protect their young master and give this "crooked mouth" a proper beating.

But within moments, all of them were lying flat on the ground.

The reporters standing around quickly backed off, not daring to move or even breathe too loudly in the face of such chaos.

Through his dazed, spinning vision, Zuo Yi vaguely saw a man in blue—his mouth crooked into that same sneer—grab him by the hair and start pummeling his face!

"How dare you lay your filthy hands on my woman, Xiao Zhan's woman! You've got a death wish!"

Pretending to be Xiao Zhan, Huang Yu tilted his mouth into that signature smirk and sneered coldly, saying the line that once shook the internet—

"The dragon's reverse scale—touch it and you die!"

As the words fell, his fists rained down like a storm, hammering Zuo Yi's face mercilessly.

"Agh!"

Zuo Yi screamed in pain.

But the barrage didn't stop; soon, the blows came too fast for him to even make a sound.

The once-handsome Zuo Yi now had a face swollen blue and purple, his features twisted beyond recognition like a pig's head.

The single lens of his glasses had shattered completely, and the frame was bent beyond repair.

Who the hell was this crooked-mouthed maniac?!

Did I kill your whole family or something? Why are you beating me like this?!

Zuo Yi's mind was a whirl of confusion and humiliation.

After the relentless beating, as the sharp pain dulled into numbness, his consciousness slowly cleared.

"Who… who the hell are you?" he croaked weakly.

"Why are you hitting me? We've got no beef with each other!"

Zuo Yi prided himself on handling his affairs cleanly.

Anyone who'd crossed him and wasn't worth much was either buried in concrete or floating somewhere offshore by now.

As for the big players—he remembered them all clearly.

But this man? He had never seen him before in his life.

Huang Yu, still in his disguise as the "Crooked-Mouth Dragon King," looked down at his masterpiece with immense satisfaction.

It felt so damn good.

Back in Tianhai, this Zuo Yi clown had never been worth mentioning.

He'd only gained some notoriety by going up against Huang Yu and Han Kun, which made outsiders think they were on the same level.

But in truth, neither Huang Yu nor Han Kun had ever bothered to take such trash seriously.

Even when Huang Yu once made him kneel and call him "dad," the guy hadn't dared to fart in protest.

Seeing Zuo Yi still able to speak, Huang Yu drove another punch straight into his mouth.

Blood spurted out as Zuo Yi's lips trembled, unable to form words.

"You still don't know what you've done wrong?"

Huang Yu tilted his mouth again, his tone mimicking Xiao Zhan's exaggerated bravado.

"When you were three, you peeked at your mom taking a bath!"

"When you were four, you forced girls to watch you bathe!"

"You flirt with married women left and right, and you don't even care about hygiene!"

"You're over thirty and still haven't had your foreskin cut! Tell me, aren't you ashamed?!"

He shouted as his fists continued pounding away.

Damn it, I used to help old ladies cross the street in elementary school!

And yet some idiot dares to lump this garbage in with the Four Young Masters of Tianhai? If I ever find him, I'll beat him to death myself!

Trash like this—rats wouldn't even want him for food—and he's supposed to be my equal?

The more Huang Yu thought about it, the angrier he got.

"Say it! Were you wrong or not?!"

His mouth twisted in a grin as he barked the words.

"I… I…"

Zuo Yi was beyond despair now. It felt like his lips no longer even existed.

"Oh? Still not talking?"

Another punch smashed into his eye socket. Unable to endure the pain or humiliation any longer, Zuo Yi's eyes rolled back, and he passed out cold.

Watching the ridiculous scene unfold, Han Yuyao's lips twitched as she struggled to hold back a laugh.

But in the end, she couldn't help it—she burst out chuckling.

That shameless bastard Huang Yu…

Helping an old lady cross the street in elementary school? Please. He'd only done it because she had a cute granddaughter his age.

If she hadn't gotten in his way back then, that girl would've ignored him forever.

And yet here he was, pretending to be righteous.

If Han Yuyao hadn't been there to keep him in line all these years, he'd be no better than Zuo Yi himself.

After one final punch, Huang Yu straightened up, took a deep breath, and closed his eyes as if gathering his inner strength in a grand finishing pose.

Suddenly—click!

A camera flash went off.

Huang Yu opened his eyes in surprise and saw a photographer among the cowering reporters who had accidentally snapped a photo.

The man's face went pale, his lips trembling as if he was about to meet his end.

Just when he thought he was done for—

"Cheese!"

Huang Yu flashed a crooked grin, giving a peace sign toward the camera.

"???"

The reporters froze, dumbfounded.

What kind of act was this?!

"What are you staring at, huh?! Never seen a handsome guy before?"

Mimicking Xiao Zhan's trademark sneer, Huang Yu scolded them, then secretly made a hand gesture toward Han Kun—a sign only the two of them could understand.

Then, before anyone could react, he turned and leapt straight out of the shattered floor-to-ceiling window of the twenty-eighth floor.

The crowd was stunned.

Two people in one night had jumped from the twenty-eighth floor without a scratch.

Had humanity evolved while they weren't looking?

After a long moment of stunned silence, Han Kun was the first to recover, suspicion flickering in his eyes.

That gesture… that back view…

"Brother Yu?" he muttered uncertainly.

The more he thought about it, the more convinced he became.

If that damned freak from before could disguise himself, then why couldn't Brother Yu?

Excitement lit up Han Kun's face.

Watching the man's silhouette vanish into the night, unscathed after a twenty-eight-story fall—

"Brother Yu is so cool!"

"Cool, my ass!" Han Yuyao snapped, glaring at him.

But even as she cursed under her breath, her lips curved slightly, betraying the warmth that flickered in her heart.

That bastard Huang Yu…

Wasn't he supposed to be in the hospital?

A sudden thought struck her, and her face darkened.

"Sis, Brother Yu—where is he—" Han Kun started, but before he could finish—

Han Yuyao kicked him hard. "Get your ass home and face Grandpa's punishment!"

"And stop hanging around that idiot all day!"

Turning to the officers, she barked, "You, get back to the hospital immediately!"

Without another word, she led the police out of the club, storming toward the hospital with fury written all over her face.

That bastard…

He'd been arrested, and he still had the nerve to sneak out and show up right in front of her?!
