He jolted awake, tightly clutching the white sheets and beads of cold sweat rolled down his face. It took him a moment to realize that he was in his bedroom and away from the vivid nightmare that had enveloped him in his sleep. He could hear the anxious thudding of his heart and the painful memory of his dead fiance still fresh in his mind. His pale, shaking hands traced the healed long scar on his chest feeling the excruciating pain activated by his nightmare.
Grabbing the cigarette packet on the walnut brown nightstand, he got up knowing that he would not be able sleep anylonger. He escaped his bedroom and descended to the kitchen to make coffee. In the kitchen, he paused to scrutinize his reflection, his white shoulder length hair was tousled and his eyes had dark circles underneath. He sighed knowing that makeup was going to play a part in making them disappear for the music video shooting.
Everything was going well and today his director and producer had not even bickered on anything but he knew that the nightmare had probably ruined his whole day or even week. The cameras following him, he treaded through the Cryingmoon gallery and then stopped to pick an 'ancient' artfect. When the director shouted a loud cut, he knew that the scene was finished.
The music video had been initially been presumed to be performance driven but Caleb had changed it into a story version one, probably the reason why it was taking long to finish it.
The first part had been in the wood, real damp woods as Caleb had insisted, even though they could have used a green screen.
'Want to be real. It's his first project after two years, , two years, that is equal to an absent decade in the entertainment world.' he had told Gianni emphasizing the two years, when she had proposed that a green screen be used instead.
Since the song was titled' Monster'Caleb had insisted that the music video had to tell a story. So the story was, as it went with the lyrics, Grey being chased by ' a monster'. From the forest , disappearing and appearing in a certain bathroom in which he gets pulled by a monster into the tub, and then him escaping to a certain Gallery where he captures the monster in a ancient artfect.
Grey loved music, he loved pouring all his heart out to write the lyrics and then sing them in the
studio. He had always wanted to be an artist but out of all the things that involved music, he least enjoyed the music videos. He didn't enjoy the camera on his space, which was the reason why despite all the roles he had been offered in movies, he had declined. The only movie which he had featured in was the deep and Gianni had forced him into it saying that he was only going to be in it for a few episodes and he needed to get his name out there.
'Okay great, Grey. Only one scene left!' Caleb happily exclaimed, clapping his thin hands loudly.
Grey snorted, this was supposed to be the last scene, he thought.
'Seems like the big guy doesn't want this to end' Gianni remarked handing him a cup of mocha. He flopped on the burgundy leather couch in the center of the room and sipped the warm liquid,
'God Gia, it's fuckin sweet, too sweet my teeth could fell off'
Gianni snickered, patting his shoulder. She sat besides him and crossed her legs.
'Don't blame me, it's your cold taste buds plus it's time to add some sweetness in your life too'
She wiggled her perfectly trimmed eyebrows at him, and jokingly bumped her shoulder with his. Grey almost choked on the coffee, getting her implication,
'You can't be serious, aren't you the one always in my ear about my only focus being work'
'l know, but the past few months you've been salty maybe you need to get laid. You need to get that steam out somehow.Percy is a good one, don't you think ' She winked and flashed her white teeth at him before taking a swig and gazing at the direction of the mentioned person.
Percy Haystorn was the youngest cinematographer, a pretty good one indeed at such a young age too. He was with the other two older cameramen and engaged in a chat.
'He is fine don't you think, brown hair, athletic build and those pretty eyes, only he is too young but you my dear, you can.'
At this Grey shook his head in amusement, a smirk replacing his usually stern expression.
'One, I'm not interested in any shit with anyone, two, remember never be involved in any shit with a co-worker, that your rule and three, he is fucking straight and you've the hots for him.'
Grey stood up and stretched his slender limbs, his half sipped mocha abandoned on the couch.
'Damn, Caleb is such a thorn. I must get going to get into the character of this last scene, whatever it is'
Gianni chortled, waving her hand in the air,
'God, Grey give the guy a chance. He's been trying. There is no friction between him and Toby, who do you think is biting his tongue'
The light bulb switched in Grey's head, he knew that the two couldn't get along so easily.
'So, is Frank still bothering you?'
At the mention of her ex husband, Gianni' face fell into a immediate frown.
'Nah forget about that, figured that the bastard has nothing on me anyway. You' re right l won the custody, that is sealed and done. '
Grey smiled, relieved that she was no longer troubled. He turned to leave when Gianni mentioned the occurrence of yesterday,
' The contract is for three months, I'll give the contact to Rhea, your signature is needed. And they said that you're expected to start working with them next week, so be prepared. Lots of rest.'
Grey nodded and strolled to the makeshift changing room, where Rhea and the stylish handed him a new outfit to change for the hopefully last scene.

Grey cursed loudly in the living room. He wanted to release his frustration on something else. He remembered the consultation with the doctor. He had suggested that his sleeping medicine be changed as it was no longer working for him. The doctor, with his professional voice had calmly said,
'Mr Vorster, l am afraid that is impossible. From the last months, you've changed from three drugs, from Balsomar to ambien.'
'But they aren't working. Maybe they aren't the correct ones.'
'Even so, l cannot prescribe you another one. I think, it's time you consulte a therapist'
At this, an internal rage had flared inside of him. He didn't need a therapist and he had been doing well without one. He had infact begged the doctor to no avail. How could he sleep, the sleeping pills were not working for him. He considered changing to another doctor but opted against it, the amount of toil needed was a put off. However,he smirked as he envisage a better yet idea. He could just buy the sleep medicine somewhere even though it would be costly without a doctor prescription.
