Lily Turner walked to the entrance of the residential area in one breath. She looked back to see if anyone was following her, and only then did she gradually slow down, letting her breath calm down a bit.
Since she left the Military District Compound so abruptly, Lily didn't have time to dress up. Worried about being recognized, she brushed her hair on both sides and tried to keep her head low as she walked towards the roadside.
Beep beep beep!
A car horn suddenly sounded from behind. Lily thought she was blocking someone's way and moved aside to get out of the way.
Beep beep beep!
The horn blared once more from behind, and Lily frowned unhappily. But instead of staying put out of spite, she stepped aside just like before.
Beep beep beep!
What kind of crazy driver is this? Is honking the horn addictive?
Lily turned around to see who the hell this stubborn driver was, constantly honking even though she'd already moved to the side.
