Axel walked back and forth in front of the coffee shop, pausing to glance at the door every now and then, only to return to his pacing a moment later. He had been at it for a good ten minutes or so…
And he was slowly running out of time. He had arrived earlier than usual, but now it was getting tight. There was still some time left before nine, but before he ordered a coffee and received it, then went to his office building and took the elevator to his floor, more time would pass… And Axel always liked to be early. He already felt under-qualified for his position, the least he could do was to show up on time and do his job right!
'Alright, you can do this!' he cheered himself on inwardly. He couldn't postpone it any longer. He had to enter the coffee shop! Pacing around like that only made him more nervous…
Not to mention, people were giving him weird looks. Axel could already feel his cheeks turning red.
And he hadn't even seen River yet!
