June POV:
By the time I woke up, it was dark again, the night air cool and heavy in the room. My body ached from the restless sleep, but I couldn't ignore the weight that had settled over me—Justin, still holding me like I was some kind of teddy bear, his arms wrapped around me like he was afraid I would disappear if he let go. His face, softened in sleep, looked peaceful, completely at ease, the chaos that usually consumed him gone for now.
It was strange. In the quiet of his slumber, he almost looked... normal. Like the man he should've been, not the broken person I'd found myself fighting for. It was hard to imagine that this was the same guy who spent every waking moment locked in a war with his own demons. When he was awake, it was chaos. But here, in his sleep, he was safe.
