My heart races when I gaze into her tearful eyes. I smile when I see it too—her gown rising slightly with each inhale and exhale.
She gasps, her rosy lips pale and inviting—not the color of cherries, but something softer, slightly velvety.
My hands are at the base of her neck, pulling her toward me, gripping, needing to feel her heat. I want her breath in me, and so I slam my lips onto hers as hard as I can, stealing all her air.
Damn her. Damn this feeling. Damn my wolf for enjoying this instead of being mad at her.
She isn't on your side anymore.
The more I think of that, the harder I nibble, deepening the kiss.
"Alp—" The word gets lost in her throat, trembling, tickling against my mouth.
"Shut up," I place my other hand around her neck. She squirms at the pressure.
The bulge in my trousers is unbearable. I lower her further, looming over her.
I don't break the kiss. We both need air, but this is her punishment—for even thinking of betraying me.
