Seeing how sincere the man was, Ella felt a hint of guilt. She averted her gaze and took a sip of her wine before she spoke, "You really think so? Anybody in your position would be offended by what I did."
"Of course not," Gabriel chuckled.
For a moment, Ella fell into a daze. There was something so genuine about the person's laughter and his energy that made him stand out from the rest of the pretentious crowd.
Before the conversation could carry on further, some important guests showed up. Gabriel excused himself but before leaving, the man told her that he would have his secretary set up a private meeting soon.
"You seem happy," Milo escaped a small group of socialites as he snuck back to Ella's side.
"I am. I guess the goal of coming here is achieved," Ella said thoughtfully, something unreadable flickered in her eyes as she looked at the core members of the Quinn Family.
