Golden Lion's strength is formidable, especially since his battle with Ayr. The Golden Lion has honed his swordsmanship to its pinnacle, mastering it beyond expectations. Furthermore, his mastery over Conqueror's Haki has reached its peak as well!
Top-tier Armament Haki, Top-tier Observation Haki, Top-tier Conqueror's Haki! This strength gave Golden Lion an unwavering confidence, even in the face of Kong and Sengoku's powerful alliance. He was not intimidated.
However, when the battle began, Golden Lion immediately realized just how terrifying Sengoku's strength truly was.
Despite Sengoku being a Marine Admiral, his power was overwhelming—his strength was more fearsome than even Kong, the Fleet Admiral, who was considered one of the greatest combatants of the era!
"Boom!!!"
Sengoku's palm struck, sending Golden Lion hurtling backward, his body flying 100 meters away from the impact.
"Damn it, has your strength truly reached this level, Sengoku?" Golden Lion muttered in disbelief, his eyes narrowing as he assessed the situation.
The Golden Lion knew that the pirates of the New World could never afford to be careless, especially in an era marked by the appearance of monsters like Ayr. The entire New World was in a state of constant vigilance, with all of them cultivating at full capacity.
Ayr's monstrous strength had pushed the big pirates to continuously improve, and the Golden Lion had certainly felt the effect of this. But despite his own strength, he still found himself pressured by Sengoku's sheer power.
When the two of them joined forces, Sengoku alone instilled a terrifying sense of invincibility in Golden Lion's heart.
"You're strong, Shiki. But you're invading our Naval Headquarters. If this is all the strength you have, then a mortal end is waiting for you."
Sengoku's expression remained calm as he took deliberate steps toward Golden Lion, his voice laced with unshakable confidence.
Sengoku had been personally trained by the Five Elders in the Holy Land of Mariejois ever since the Battle of the Valley of the Gods. For years, his relentless and grueling training had never stopped for even a single day. This had brought out the utmost potential in him, pushing his strength to the very limit.
Golden Lion, though powerful, still seemed insignificant in the face of Sengoku's power.
"In the entire New World, apart from that monster Ayr, we don't take other big pirates seriously, Shiki," Kong said, his voice steady.
Garp, Sengoku, Zephyr, and Crane had all received extensive training from the Five Elders. Their strength was nearly at the peak of the world's combat prowess.
If one were to compare, Garp and Sengoku's current abilities were not far from the legendary Rocks D. Xebec at his prime.
Golden Lion scoffed, "You Marines have been afraid to set foot in the New World for so long, and now you're telling me you're not afraid of us pirates? Ridiculous."
Sengoku's voice remained unwavering as he replied, "We didn't plan on stepping into the New World before, but now... we're ready. You, Kaido, and Roger will all be stepping stones for Marine to announce its dominance to the world."
"And it won't just be you three. In a few days, Ayr from the New World and the other big pirates will be joining you in the grave."
Sengoku's eyes were cold, his words final and resolute.
Golden Lion gave a humorless laugh. "Your strength is undeniable, Sengoku. The Marines could probably wipe out any pirate in the New World... But Ayr? Don't be foolish. You have no idea what kind of monster you're dealing with."
Not long ago, Golden Lion and Roger had planned to attack the Roger Pirates. But in the nick of time, Ayr appeared and crushed them with an overwhelming display of strength!
Golden Lion had seen Ayr's near-invincible figure and couldn't help but feel the weight of it. Ayr's power was so far beyond what anyone had expected—it made the Golden Lion question whether even Rocks D. Xebec could compare.
No matter how strong the Marines were, the Golden Lion doubted that they could take down Ayr.
"You think we'd dare say such things without being sure of our strength?" Sengoku said calmly, stepping forward.
"This is the end of your chatter, Shiki."
With a roar, Kong's fist, imbued with both Armament and Conqueror's Haki, shot toward Golden Lion at an incredible speed. Sengoku, mirroring Kong's aggression, also closed in on Golden Lion, closing the distance rapidly.
"Bring it on!" Golden Lion roared defiantly, meeting their charge head-on without fear.
"Boom!!!"
The three of them collided with intense force, the battle intensifying as they exchanged devastating blows.
Suddenly, an ominous sound echoed from the sky above, followed by a deafening roar.
"Meteor... Meteorite!"
"Look! A meteorite is falling from the sky!"
Many of the Marine soldiers looked up in shock. The meteorite was massive, far larger than any they had seen before, and its size was comparable to the entire Naval Headquarters.
"No! Stop that meteorite! If it lands, our entire Naval Headquarters will sink into the sea!"
Panic spread among the Marines, but they quickly gathered themselves, realizing the severity of the situation.
Sengoku's expression darkened as he looked up at the sky. Meteorites weren't uncommon in this world of strange phenomena, but this one was different. Its size and threat were far beyond the norm. If it fell, it would obliterate their headquarters.
"First, stop that meteorite, Sengoku! You can't let it fall!" Kong urgently reminded.
Golden Lion, also staring at the meteorite, stood still for a moment, then his eyes widened in realization. "Meteorite? Could it be... Ayr's ability?"
During the Battle of the Valley of the Gods, Ayr had summoned a colossal meteor, and later, during Byrnndi Wald's attempt to sink the entire Valley of the Gods, Ayr had unleashed yet another meteor strike.
Recognizing the terrifying aura of the meteor, Golden Lion immediately thought of Ayr.
High in the sky, Kaido, who had been clashing with Garp, noticed the meteorite above and let out a booming laugh.
"Hahaha... It's unmistakable! This is Ayr's ability!"
"Ayr?" Garp's face immediately grew solemn, a dangerous gleam entering his eyes. His past experiences with Ayr flooded back—the memories of Marine's inability to stop Ayr, who had wiped out three of the Five Elders in the Holy Land of Mariejois. Garp's thirst for vengeance, and his desire to bring Ayr to justice, burned fiercely within him.
"If Ayr is here, then today, all three of you will stay here."
For Garp, Ayr had become the pirate to capture. Since Ayr dared to step into the Marine's territory, Garp would make sure to bring him down.
