"Who is he?"
General Ross narrowed his eyes, gazing at the two CIA agents who had brought the mysterious man before him.
The agents led him into a secure, isolated location, sweeping the room with detection devices to ensure they weren't being monitored.
"He's Carl Johnson, father of Daisy—also known as the Inhuman 'Quake'. We verified his identity using files recovered from the remains of S.H.I.E.L.D.," one of the agents explained, handing Ross a classified dossier. "Your assignment is to assist him in entering the Kree ruins and help him secure what's inside. You'll have our full operational support."
Ross opened the file. It contained more than just Daisy's lineage. It included detailed records of her mother, the dark history involving Hydra, and a complex web of connections long buried by secrecy.
This wasn't just S.H.I.E.L.D. intelligence. It was too detailed. It could only come from the highest echelons of global intelligence—meaning someone up top had been colluding with Hydra.
Ross scoffed, tossing the file aside and turning his cold stare on Carl. "So? What do you want?"
Carl was unfazed. "I need the 'Prophet'. It's the key to activating the relic."
He raised his hand, tracing an invisible shape in the air.
"It was stolen from Hydra by S.H.I.E.L.D.," he added calmly. "It's likely still with them."
"We've already investigated that," one agent interjected. "When Alexander Pierce was killed during Chaldea's attack on S.H.I.E.L.D., he had numerous dangerous artifacts in his possession. All of it vanished. We have reason to believe Chaldea secured everything. But we suspect... they don't know how to use the key."
Ross grimaced. "So what do you want me to do? Steal it from Chaldea? Good luck."
"We've tried," the agent said, frustrated. "No one knows where Chaldea stores their assets. Shen He keeps them tightly controlled. But if they don't understand its use, we may still have a chance—if we act carefully."
Carl nodded. "They won't destroy what they don't understand. But we must move soon."
Ross looked at them all again, then back to Carl. "What's the plan?"
Carl smiled—coldly, confidently. "My daughter, Daisy. She's the plan."
Only Carl knew the truth.
There were no weapons in the ruins—no ultimate device of mass destruction. The Kree ruins were an awakening site, a place where Inhuman potential was unlocked. His daughter had already awakened. Now, he wanted her—and his wife—back. Everything else was manipulation.
With the plan in place, the tension within the World Council lessened slightly. They would wait, applying just enough military pressure to keep Chaldea in check.
But fate would not wait.
"Seismic activity detected in New York! Level-three ground vibrations registered. Source: Virtual Reality Company headquarters!"
"Satellite feed—now! Zoom in!"
"…My God…"
"Transmit visuals to all channels. Emergency protocol!"
The world—already suffocating under the heavy air of conflict—turned its collective gaze toward New York in stunned disbelief.
Stone columns, dust clouds, and floating debris surged skyward. What emerged was not destruction, but creation.
A colossal floating fortress—the Sky Garden.
Formed from concentric floating islands, ringed with thick marble columns and laced with greenery, it rose in elegant symmetry. Plants twined through ancient Roman-style architecture, water flowed in reverse from waterfalls that climbed into the sky, and the structure shimmered like a mythical palace.
Though alien ships had once stunned the world, they lacked the artistry, beauty, and civilization encapsulated in this single breathtaking construct.
And it wasn't appearing in secret.
The entire world watched it come into being—stone by stone, pillar by pillar—like a divine miracle.
Employees at the virtual reality company rushed out in awe. This wasn't just a marvel—it was history unfolding before their eyes. Some whispered legends of Babylon, others invoked science-fiction comparisons. But all were unified in wonder.
Then a voice echoed, steady and powerful, across the company's internal broadcast.
"This is our Chaldea," Shen He said from the tallest spire of the company building. "And this is the new headquarters of the Virtual Reality Company."
He raised his arm toward the heavens.
"I name it the Hanging Garden of Babylon!"
The name struck the world with a mythic resonance. Here was a symbol—of power, of art, of ancient legacy now reborn in the modern age. This wasn't just a base. It was a message.
The world gasped in awe.
"Can people live there?" many wondered aloud.
Cheers erupted across the company campus. Even the reporters kept outside the perimeter couldn't help but share in the thrill.
In that moment, envy flooded the world.
For the employees of the Virtual Reality Company, everything changed. They were no longer just workers—they were pioneers of a new civilization.
Shen He's voice returned.
"From today forward, we begin relocation operations. The Sky Garden is now the company's new heart. Semiramis will oversee the entire transition."
This had long been promised to Semiramis. With her command over alchemy and magic, she would not only move the company into the sky but reshape its foundation. The company would become hers to rule, brick by enchanted brick.
Later, at Shen He's villa, Tony Stark descended in his armor.
"You timed that well," Shen He greeted him. "Those reporters are all yours. I know how you love the spotlight."
"No problem," Tony said, stepping out of his armor and looking skyward. The garden blotted out the sun—a shadow that inspired awe instead of fear.
"But seriously," Tony added, "You built that and didn't even tell me?"
"It was Semiramis' creation," Shen He replied, handing Tony a glass of fine wine. The two of them sat on the front steps, gazing at the aerial city.
Even Shen He was still processing the grandeur.
Tony swirled the wine, unable to look away. "It's beautiful. When I flew through it, I felt like I wanted to marry Pepper up there. I mean, really—can I build a villa on that thing?"
"You'll have to talk to Semiramis," Shen He chuckled. "The city is hers."
Tony raised an eyebrow. "Yeah, but she's yours, right?"
"Don't make it weird." Shen He shot a glance toward the kitchen window, where Jeanne d'Arc was slicing fruit. He shoved Tony playfully. "Anyway, the Sky Garden isn't just a vanity project… You know what I mean."
Tony nodded, standing and lifting his glass. "It's a new world. A new order. Chaldea's strength and tech will drive the future. The elites, the powerful—they'll do anything to get access to that garden. This is Eden, Shen. The only Eden that matters."
As exaggerated as Tony's words sounded, he wasn't wrong.
Before this, Chaldea operated in the shadows, still bound by American jurisdiction, tangled in global red tape. But now—
Now, with the Sky Garden, Chaldea had a sovereign stronghold, a global identity separate from the old systems.
Living in the Sky Garden would be a privilege. Partnering with Chaldea meant sharing in its power.
As Tony said—this was the future.
