Chapter 345 - Chapter 345: The Fall of Tang Hao and Tang San

Chapter 345: The Fall of Tang Hao and Tang San

The three of them had a long discussion.

Ye Cheng and Qian Daoliu got along well, and they began discussing a collaboration between White Cloud City and Spirit Hall. Eventually, they finalized the details of their cooperation.

Qian Daoliu would remain at Spirit Hall's headquarters, overseeing Spirit City and managing the vast organization. A dedicated team would be assigned to coordinate the collaboration with White Cloud City.

Meanwhile, Qian Renxue and Bibi Dong would take Keli to White Cloud City, using its superior environment to cultivate while also researching how to transition into the Divine Soul Master system.

Bibi Dong, who was only a step away from godhood, naturally couldn't abandon her cultivation and start over at such a crucial moment. However, this didn't prevent her from studying the new system in advance to prepare for a future transition.

With that, everything was settled.

Elsewhere, in the Slaughter City.

Tang San's life had undergone a drastic transformation within just a few days of obtaining the White Bone Trident. Previously, he had been nothing more than a lowly outcast in the outer regions of Slaughter City.

But with the power of the Abyss at his disposal, he used the White Bone Trident's abilities to ambush and eliminate others, rapidly clearing out the scattered survivors in the outer zone. He turned them into his own skeletal soldiers.

In just a short time, he had amassed an undead army of around two hundred skeletons.

At the same time, by absorbing the blood and souls of these two hundred soul masters, the White Bone Trident slowly began to repair itself. Though the progress was minor, it unlocked several new abilities. Furthermore, each time it absorbed a victim's essence, it would reward Tang San with a small portion of power, gradually transforming his body into that of an Abyssal demon.

His soul rings had disappeared. His martial soul had mutated, becoming something entirely alien an embodiment of the Abyss itself. To compensate for the loss of his soul rings, the White Bone Trident also granted him several dark magic spells.

When Tang Hao, who had temporarily left to gather information, returned, he was utterly shocked. In just a few short days, his son had clearly fallen under the influence of the Abyss. He was now slaughtering without restraint, raising an army of the dead.

From the shadows, Tang Hao silently watched as Tang San wielded the broken White Bone Trident, commanding his skeletal soldiers to encircle a Soul Emperor. The enemy was easily overpowered, unable to move. With a single strike of the trident, Tang San finished him off, absorbing every last drop of his blood essence and soul.

Seeing this, Tang Hao could no longer remain hidden.

"Tang San!"

As soon as Tang Hao appeared, all the surrounding skeleton soldiers turned simultaneously, their hollow eye sockets locking onto him with eerie intensity.

Even Tang Hao, who had slaughtered countless people in his lifetime, felt a chill run down his spine. These walking corpses exuded an unnatural, sinister aura. The way they defiled the dead even he, a ruthless killer, found it disturbing.

"Father!"

Tang San, however, was overjoyed to see Tang Hao. Due to his transformation, his once disfigured face had been restored but this was only temporary. Unbeknownst to him, once his body fully evolved into an Abyssal demon, he would take on the grotesque, bloated form that had been shown in the vision of the future.

"Tang San, how did you get involved with the Abyss?" Tang Hao frowned, his eyes fixated on the White Bone Trident in his son's hand. It radiated an overwhelming aura of evil.

"Father, it's a long story," Tang San replied, lifting the trident. "During the recent spatial disturbances, this treasure appeared right before me. It was this divine weapon that allowed me to be reborn!"

"But… it's the Abyss!" Tang Hao growled. "Do you intend to become a demon?"

Thanks to the visions of the future, even he had no fondness for the Abyss.

"Father, what's wrong with that?"

To Tang Hao's surprise, Tang San simply shook his head. "There's nothing bad about becoming a demon."

"Tang San, you've been corrupted! Stop this madness!" Tang Hao clenched his fists as the Clear Sky Hammer appeared in his hand. He had no intention of killing his own son Tang San was his only hope for vengeance. He simply wanted to take the White Bone Trident from him and destroy it.

The real reason he rejected the Abyss wasn't its inherent evil. If anything, his own actions in life had been just as cruel. What he truly despised about the Abyss was how unpredictable and uncontrollable it was. The possibility that it could alter one's very thoughts and beliefs made him wary.

"Father, you're the one who refuses to see the truth." Tang San shook his head. "The world has changed. No matter how hard we train, the two of us alone will never be strong enough to take revenge. We will never be a match for Spirit Hall. Only by embracing the Abyss and becoming noble demons can we avenge our hatred!"

"Spirit Hall!"

Hearing those words, Tang Hao's eyes flashed with a murderous red glow. He recalled the vision of the future many great forces had appeared, including Spirit Hall and the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect. But the Clear Sky Sect had barely been mentioned.

The Clear Sky Sect supposedly the greatest clan of assault type martial souls had been almost nonexistent in the future timeline. That was highly suspicious.

If it wasn't due to a lack of talent, then there was only one possible explanation: Spirit Hall had deliberately suppressed them. Or worse… they had been exterminated entirely.

The mere thought of it fueled his hatred for Spirit Hall even further.

He knew himself well. Even if he devoted himself to training, even if he switched to the Ring Condensation method, the best he and Tang San could ever achieve was the level of a First Class God. Their chances of becoming God Kings were slim to none let alone reaching the level of a Creation God.

No matter how he looked at it, the only path to revenge lay in the Abyss.

"What do I need to do?"

Without hesitation, Tang Hao asked directly.

Tang San's face lit up with joy. He had feared his father would refuse. But in the end, the power of the Abyss or rather, their hatred for Spirit Hall proved too tempting to resist.

"It's simple. Just take this divine weapon and kill. Perform a sacrificial ritual, and the Abyss will grant you its blessing…" Tang San explained as he handed the White Bone Trident to Tang Hao.

That's it?

Tang Hao was skeptical. It seemed too easy. He had expected some kind of elaborate ritual to officially form a contract with the Abyss. But all he had to do was kill someone with this trident?

It seemed too absurd to be true.

Still, despite his doubts, he followed through.

Selecting a random unfortunate soul, he impaled them with the White Bone Trident.

The moment he did, his consciousness was pulled into an endless abyss of darkness. There, he received the blessing of the Abyss.

When he returned to his body, he immediately felt a foreign power coursing through him.

Though faint, this power was incredibly resilient. His soul power was rapidly being devoured by it.

Tang Hao instantly understood this was the power of the Abyss. Or more accurately, demonic power.

And this demonic energy would slowly reshape his body and soul, gradually transforming him into an Abyssal demon.
