Eating her food which one of the servants brought, she discussed measures which their kingdom would have to take in order to remain safe. Thankfully, all of their trade relies on the sea so it was very unlikely it would be compromised. Their biggest threats were their fields being burned which would grossly limit their food sources since relying on simply fish and sea vegetables would only be sufficient for their capital.
All the outer towns further from the coast would be in threat of starvation if their crops were damaged. To ensure this did not happen, the king suggested to increase the amount of knights stationed in these villages and to implement a much stricter interview process for migrants, especially those who are Yurian.
Once she had finished her food, she left her father to discuss these plans with his council while she worked on her studies. The first order of business was to understand more about her affinities so she could get more ideas on what types of constructs she could create and spells. So Katrina decided to head to the royal library. In regards to flora and water elements, they were quite simple but poison on the other hand was not.
Arriving there, she chose a book which detailed all the known poisons in her area. While reading, she realised two things. Poisons usually came from either plants, animals or in some cases processed goods such as alcohol which is counted as a poison despite its popularity. Katrina wondered if constructing known poisonous animals would be a foolish decision since they could encompass other elements such as the beast element.
The beast element is a unique element which allows those with its affinity to tame creatures which they construct. It's quite a famous element since the Dean of the Academy had it, and when the now destroyed kingdom of Illaro waged a war on Welrue (as they apposed its independence and ability to decree laws all kingdoms must abide by), the Dean single-handedly wiped it off the map with an army of a thousand tamed magical beasts.
Since Katrina was not at the stage where she could create constructs which did not already exist, she was stuck with poisonous plants until her inner world could handle different elements. The princess decided to try to create another construct when she had at least twenty knollgrass constructs.
Now that she understood the limits of her poison constructs, the brown eyed girl had a lot of time on her hands with nothing to do. It was best to limit construct visualisation to one a day until she grew it stronger to handle more. Right now, she wanted to see if she could create spells which could defend and attack.
Leaving the library, Katrina made her way to an isolated courtyard where she could practice without worrying about harming anyone. Pressing her hands together, she called on her magic and focused on splitting off the elements. Once she only had the flora magic, she imagined threading roots emerging from the ground and forming a shield in front of her.
Her magic followed her call, opening her eyes she saw brown roots which protruded out the earth forming a rectangular wall. Each root was the size of her wrist and were interwoven in complicated patterns meaning you'd have to pierce several in order to reach her.
[Spell Created: Root Wall

Satisfied with the results, she stopped her steady flow of energy to the spell, and watched as all the roots unfolded from each other and retreated back into the earth. The only remnants of their existence being the dirt which was uprooted when they emerged. The next spell she wanted to try was an offensive one which mixed both poison and flora magic.
Closing her eyes again, she unfurled the energy taking away the spots of blue despite knowing it would have no change to the spell it was still good practice. Once she was left with a mesmerising mix of green and purple, she imagined thorns like those of a rose covered in poison which could surge forward and strike foes. Like a viper, dark green vines with pink thorns erupted out of her hands and travelled around twenty meters ahead of her before losing their strength and disappearing.
[Spell Created: Toxic Thorns
Description: A combination of both flora and poison magic to craft thorns capable of inflicting weakness and nausea on the opponent.

The last spell she wanted to attempt was a pure poison spell she could use in close combat. As the heir to the kingdom, she had been taught everything an heir would expect to know even if she was a girl. The stereotype that women cannot wield blades is less apparent in her kingdom but still prevalent.
Doing as she did before, she used the pure purple energy to consolidate a pure purple sword which she could interchange through liquid poison to a solid mass of it, hoping that would be possible despite her not having the ice element. Opening her eyes, she watched as the sword took shape. Its colour was less purple and more magenta (influence of the knollgrass she had as constructs no doubt) and it was smaller than she wanted, looking more like a long dagger.
[Spell Created: Sword of Poison
Description: A solid mass of poison capable of weakening any who gets hit by its strikes
Spell Grade: D
Spell Uniqueness: C].
Testing to see if she could change its state, but it failed. Hopefully, when she created her second construct to strengthen her water element she could create a better version capable of doing so. Every swish of the sword, caused a slight amount of the poison to coat the sword in order to infect her opponents.
Feeling exhaustion creep in from magical overuse, she decided to head inside and eat dinner with her father. However, before she did she remembered something she had read in her magical tome which she had neglected to do. Which was her inner world's voice status. The instructions to find it were quite clear, since all it said was to wish for it. And so she did.
