Chapter 2 - Chapter 1: A New Dawn

Darkness.

Then, warmth.

Aeternis, once the Supreme God, now felt something he had never experienced before—the fragility of mortality.

His soul, once infinite, now resided within a new vessel, encased in a world of muffled sounds and rhythmic heartbeats. He was no longer omnipotent, no longer an existence above the heavens. He had been cast down, his divine powers sealed, his throne stolen by traitorous gods.

Yet, within him burned a flicker of defiance.

Suddenly, his world shifted. A pressure surrounded him, forcing him forward. The warmth that once enclosed him turned suffocating, and his instincts screamed. Then—light. Blinding, sharp, overwhelming. A wail escaped his lips, not from pain, but from rebirth.

The cries of an infant filled the chamber.

"My lady, the child is here!" A midwife's voice trembled with reverence.

Aeternis—no, Leon Aeternis now—opened his eyes for the first time in this new world. His blurred vision caught glimpses of the figures around him, his newborn body weak yet sensitive to everything. His divine senses, though muted, still lingered, allowing him to perceive the mortals before him.

A woman, her silver hair cascading down her sweat-soaked face, reached out with trembling hands. Her violet eyes, filled with exhaustion and relief, gazed at him with boundless love. Seraphina Aeternis, his mother. A noble beauty, yet her face bore traces of hardship.

"Leon... my son..." she whispered, cradling him against her chest.

Beside her stood a towering man with golden eyes that burned with unshakable resolve. His expression, stern yet warm, softened as he looked upon his newborn son. Reynard Aeternis, the Duke of House Aeternis. A warrior, a leader, and now, a father.

"He has your beauty, Seraphina," Reynard murmured, gently brushing his son's small forehead. "And my strength. House Aeternis will rise again."

Leon, unable to speak, could only stare. This was his family now.

A once-powerful god, now reborn as the heir to a fallen noble house. The irony was not lost on him. But unlike the past, where he stood alone at the peak of creation, this time, he had a family.

And he would not let them suffer.

------------

Leon knew his journey had only begun. His family was struggling, their noble house teetering on the edge of decline. His parents, despite their strength, carried unseen burdens. And beyond them, the world itself was filled with gods, kings, and conquerors, all vying for power.

But he was not afraid. He had ruled the universe once before.

This time, he would rise again—not as a lonely god, but as a man with a family, wives, and an empire that would stretch across the stars.

And when the heavens realized that their fallen god had returned—

They would kneel.
